*We’re currently looking for someone to stay with us and help from 13/11 to 20/11 and from 23/11 to 30/11. You can pick one of these periods, or stay both, provided that from 20 to 23 you take some time out of the lodge. Since we’re on the Queen Charlotte Track, we think these 3 days off might be perfect for you to walk the track if you’re willing to do it while in the Marlborough Sounds.*

Hi, we are Rod and Isabelle. We run a small lodge in Endeavour Inlet Queen Charlotte Sound, Marlborough. It's right on the Queen Charlotte Track. The lodge's been here for about ten years and have had help mainly from Woofers during this time. (It's been 1 year since we're on Helpx as well)

Rod is a kiwi and Isabelle is from Brazil.

Helpers just need to make their way to Picton and we will pickup from there or pay for a water taxi.

A sense of humor and relaxed attitude will be helpful. We prefer people to be over 25 years old. Helpers will have free WIFI, food and your own double ensuite.

During the off-season we need help to get the lodge ready for summer. General cleaning, gardening, maintenance on the property and on our boat.. Carpentry and gardening skills will be highly appreciated.

Over the season (October-April) we occasionally need people to help us cooking, checking guests in and out and general house keeping.

Hey and It won't be all work either, we go fishing and hunting and you'll be welcome to join us. Also there're kayaks available and the amazing native bush of the Sounds to savor. If you're keen on walking the Queen Charlotte Track we can arrange a double journey in one day, in exchange for one day off that you can take to walk for example.

We have five very friendly pig dogs kenneled on the property and hunt wild pigs and deer for our food. If you don't like dogs, sorry, this place probably isn't for you.

Please notice that we're boat accessible only, so don't expect a McDonald's, pubs or shopping centres next door ;)

Looking forward to hearing from you!
