We are a small organisation creating a « transition » place in Stavelot. We want to develop all kinds of activities demonstrating how anyone can adapt their lifestyle to be more respectful of our environment, regardless of their income (producing, transforming and conserving organic food, using rain water, using a compost toilet, making simple organic cleaning and cosmetic products, getting to know local producers, developing non-commercial exchanges and much more).

We try to practice what we preach and our first activity is to renovate the house that will host our future activities, “the 65”. The house was built in the 18th century, a time when there was no electricity, no plastic, no engineers and no architect required...
To minimize the environmental footprint of our work, we use mostly second hand materials and we try to stick to natural products such as wood, clay and lime.
To minimize energy consumption, we are isolating the house and we will set up a high performance wood based heating (« Finhoven » and "rocket stove").
3 days per week, the work site is open to anyone who wants to help and learn about our techniques.
We, Dadou and Julie, live and work in the house together with Zion (the dog) and Zonzon (the cat). We offer a private room for a week in exchange for 3 small days of work. We provide breakfast everyday and other meals on the working days. We are open to shorter or longer stays (terms to be discussed).
