NOT A FARM - Our small town of about 750 people is set in the valley surrounded by thousands of acres of ranch land.
There are many opportunities here for helping at the cafe during our busy tourist season. Right now, looking for some persons who can work in the kitchen (cooking, cleaning and prep work). Hoping for someone who can stay for 2 to 3 months through the busy tourist season (July, August, September) It is preferable that you be a non smoker.
Recreation abounds, there is fishing, and hiking trails to be explored. Mountains rise up to 14,000 feet from our 8100 foot elevation. It is paradise.
My home is somewhat simple but comfortable and the rooms are outfitted simply. It is myself and my granddaughter. We have two cats that allow us to cohabitate with them so we don't accept anyone travelling with dogs. Sorry, but there is no place to house them at this time.
In the summer we stay very busy with the cafe crowd as many people travel over this crossroads town to explore the wonders of Colorado be it on bicycle, by car, or backpacking. Winter has set in now and we are experiencing very cold temperatures at night. I traveled for over 17 years and can greatly appreciate wanting to see the world.
We are now looking for helpers thru Nov 2013 for positions within the cafe, kitchen as well as waitstaff. Also in need of someone who can do maintenance and painting. I would also like to build a greenhouse for growing our own herbs and produce. Now raising a few chickens as my little girl is in 4H Club so in need of help there too.
