Looking for helpers to stay for 7 nights from Friday 20 October to Friday 27 October.

We are Lisa, 31 - an environmental policy analyst and Graham,39 - an author, and our two spoilt kitties Scardy-cat and Munty-cat. We have half a hectare of pines, bush and gardens and a beautiful 1890s cottage overlooking the ocean.

We will need helpers to do some spring cleaning: mostly gardening, landscaping, a bit of indoor and outdoor cleaning and other bits and pieces. The will involve three full 8 hour days of work on Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

In exchange for the this you will get 7 nights accommodation in a comfortable room in our cottage and all meals.

Your room has lovely bush views, a queen bed and your own bathroom. Unlimited internet and use of our house. The cottage has the most amazing views - the photos of the sunrise and cruise ship were taken from our lounge :)

Would suit a couple or friends who don't mind sharing a bed. Sorry no single travelers.

We welcome people of any age and nationality. You need to have a good level of fitness as it is all manual work. No special skills required but it would be a major bonus if you are a painter, carpenter, builder, arborist, landscaper or gardener.

We are a 20 minute drive from Dunedin. The bus stop and the small town of Port Chalmers is a 15 minute walk, where you will find cafes, shops and a small supermarket. It is only a 5 minute walk to the bay and there are some really great beaches and walks only a 10 minute drive away where you can see the wildlife including seals, sealions and penguins. If you are lucky you might also see some hectors dolphins - the smallest and one of the most rarest dolphins in the world.

We love to meet new people and are happy to show you some of the local sights in our piece of paradise.
