Tired of travelling the road? Would you like to hang up the back-pack for a while and enjoy some quiet country-living in a creekside bluestone cottage ... in exchange for part-time work?

We need a live-in garden-loving couple to come ant stay for a while at Kingbilli, our 200ac riverside Llama-farm, pinto Shetland Pony stud and Wildlife Refuge at Taggerty, 90 minutes NE of Melbourne in Victoria's Central Highlands. Home to over a 100 species of native wildlife, Kingbilli offers a relaxed country lifestyle in beautiful surroundings.

This is what we do :
1. Offer eco-friendly farm-stays for families - enabling them to enjoy our natural environment and meet its unique inhabitants.
2. Breed Llamas and pinto Shetland Ponies.
3. Protect native wildlife in our Wildlife Refuge.

And this is what we need :
A live-in garden-loving volunteer couple to help keep the property, its gardens and cottages looking their best.
We request 2 days work per person per week (on Mondays and Fridays) leaving the rest of the week free to do as you please
Tasks are gardening, cleaning, weeding, collecting and stacking firewood and general property maintenance.

In exchange, we provide you with your own fully furnished, self-contained, blue-stone cottage, comprising a spacious living-dining room with glass-fronted wood-heater, sat. TV, free Wi-Fi, (BYO laptop) a separate bedroom with en-suite bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen and an outdoor gas BBQ. Gas, electricity, fire-wood, laundry facilities, tennis racquets and mountain bikes are included. There is an orchard from which to select seasonal fruit, but apart from that, you must provide and cook your own food and keep your cottage clean and tidy.

Recreation - cycling, tennis, fishing, boating, bush-walking, bird-watching and wildlife spotting.

Paid work - off-property part-time, casual or seasonal work is available locally and to help you find it, we provide a list of local farmers and business-folk to contact when you arrive. A range of jobs is also advertised in our 3 local newspapers.
