WELCOME:
I'm looking for people who would like to stay in Auckland for an extended period of time.

A furnished single room is available.

People of interest would include those wanting to work or study and would like to do a mix of paying rent and helping.

Very open to flexible hours and willing to negotiate amounts.

People of all cultures and ages welcome.

Parking for a car or van available.

THE WORK:
There are often garden projects on the go along with garden maintenance, house cleaning, and sometimes assistance with child care. Help with cooking is always appreciated.

ACCESS & TRANSPORT:
The property is near Auckland airport in a quiet, garden environment. Train & bus access north and south and to Auckland city is close by.

Assistance is available with airport transfers and special visits to far off places like west coast beaches and other less accessible places.

BACKGROUND:
In an earlier life I studied as a mature student gaining an MA (Hons) in Asian History, Politics and some Chinese language. My thesis examined the Indo-Chinese Refugee exodus and how NZ responded between 1975 and 1985. The thesis was published and is in many academic and national libraries.

PROFESSIONALLY
I've been a customs broker for many years and an immigration consultant for about three.
