Hellooo0ooo from the animals (in an Animal Farm esque order of Hierarchy): Chooks 4 (+very fat fox), loads piglets, buckets of weaners, 95 porkers (he carts us off to die then makes the most delicious things in the meaty world out of us then sells us at the local market to adoring fans and addicts alike, would you believe it!), Whitney, Oprah, Phoebe, Ebony, Alicia, Courage, Toot, Sam, Clare, Aoife, Bunny, Bob & Mel (sows), Lionel (boar), Abby, Leeloo, Hermione, Noisette, Patachou, Vache, Sansa, Daisy, Sunny & Tree, Abba & Sparkle, (real cows) + 30 Galloways, 2x donkeys (we clean the mountains) Jango & Le Che (horses)Jaya, Sumba & Obi (We're Hovawarts don't you know) Peppa (redundant sheep dog), two not so ikle and sweet human princesses, The Fat Bearded One (Justin) & The Pretty One (Emily). We live in the Ariege(09) in the Pyrenees, in the Massat Valley at 901m. When the Fat Bearded One and the Pretty one are not tending our every need they have a large organic veggie garden which takes up a lot of time. We are in the middle of beautiful nowhere on the South facing side of a mountain, winter has snow, summer is hot both are peaceful and beautiful. Anyway the Fat Bearded one tells us that he'll be putting you up in their house . There is loads of hot water in the form of a bath or shower, toilets, double and single beds. They eat pork & beef (can you believe it!), eggs (that's where they all go!), wild mushrooms (they didn't stand a chance), anything else that is in season or comes along, loads of veggies from the garden & loads of it. They try not to smoke (very badly), and try to drink, listen to music whenever there is a moment and in the area there is loads of climbing, skiing, walking, caving etc for your days off.

Oh and judging by the Fact the Fat Bearded one can now see his toes we think that despite how much we like to see him work till he drops he could do with a bit of help.... any takers?

WHAT'S HAPPENING RIGHT NOW:

Spring: Wood cutting, fence repair, pig house building, markets, chopping up and making charcuterie. GARDEN GARDEN GARDEN

Summer: Markets, spit roasts, catering weddings and festivals, animal care, herding cows round mountain pastures, cleaning fields, new pig parks WORK WORK WORK

Autumn: Winter prep, building of shelters, wood work, wood chopping, wood stacking, wood in general

We need committed people who are interested in our way of life and want to be part of something important (we feel the production of quality food using old methods and putting the health and 'happiness' of the animal is foremost), you will not be asked to mow our lawn, organise our crockery or do any sanding! You MUST have travel/medical insurance which covers you for WOOFING/helpxing.

Please re-read some of our reviews paying special attention to all the comments about how hard we work here, come to learn, come to experience, come to test yourselves, come as you are!
