Hello. This is an 18th century farmhouse nestled on the edge of a small hilltop village with views across to the Pyrenees mountains. Recent family commitments have made it difficult to keep up with all the work here myself so I could use a little help. I'm looking for 1 or 2 people during the warmer months to help with gardening, maintenance, diy jobs etc. Most of it is fairly light work but there may be some heavier tasks - wood splitting, bramble clearing .....

I am offering a nice self contained apartment with wifi, on a self catering basis with a 3 hour working day. This would suit people who like to have plenty of time to explore the local area and cuisine or those with special dietary requirements who prefer to prepare their own food.

This is a calm, healing house and so welcomes non smokers who would enjoy that ambiance. It's a nice place to chill, with a sunny courtyard patio, sunbeds, bbq and a large area of open land behind the barn. The village is home to one of the finest organic honey producers in France and also has a post office where you can buy fresh bread and some local produce. There is plenty of walking from the house and this whole area is a veritable paradise of organic farm produce.

The village is 3 miles from the market town of Maubourguet which has a weekly market, several reasonably priced restaurants, a small supermarket in the town centre and a very large supermarket just outside. From Maubourguet there is a regular bus service into Tarbes and from there, buses and trains run to various destinations including Toulouse and the pilgrim town of Lourdes and Lourdes international airport. The mountains are just over an hours drive and I keep ordinance survey maps of all the surrounding area.

Contact me for more detailled information and don't panic (!) if I take a few days to reply - I don't always have instant access to a computer.

I'm looking forward to hearing from you.
