We are late 50s semi retired couple who enjoy traveling and have visited Europe a few times in recent years .
We have a Lavender farm with 1000 lavender plants and 90 feijoa trees.
The rest of the land is used for cattle and sheep
We enjoy meeting new people and showing them our beautiful country
We have pet sheep,a dog,cat and chickens, and we have a small shop at the gate selling eggs and plants.
We have self contained studio with a queen and single bed ,with its own toilet and shower, sink bench, fridge and small oven.
Limited free wifi is available in the house.
We are sheep and beef farmers who still own a farm 8kms away, for the real farming experience.
We prefer non smokers and definitely no drugs.Probably not the best place for vegetarians or any one allergic to bees,or scared of them,as the lavender is full of them and needs to be weeded at times
Work times would be 20 hours a week per person on weekdays or by mutual agreement, with the weekends free to do as you wish.
Palmerston North is our nearest city 20 minutes by car,can pick you up from Airport or train if required and with plenty of notice.
Bus can be booked to and from Woodville.
We are 1km from the village of Woodville which has supermarket,ATM,Chemist, hotel, service station and collection of shops, swimming pool.Is probably better for you if you have your own car.
We are close to the Tararua and Ruahine ranges which are great for tramping ,bush walks and hunting for deer.
Half an hour from here is Mt Bruce wildlife sanctuary with NZ native birds including rare white kiwi .
There are lots of good rivers close by for swimming or trout fishing.
