***UNTILL AUGUST 2017 WE ARE NOT LOOKING FOR ANYMORE LONGTERM VOLUNTEERS!***

Do you like dogs, cats, horses, donkeys and all kinds of other animals?
Have you always had a dream of devoting your time helping those who need it most?

Now is your chance!

Two of our long-term volunteers will be leaving us to start a new adventure in Norway, and with their departure we will have 2 area's of responsibility at our main shelter in Medina del Campo for which we seek new volunteers!

We are looking for a person capable of taking care of the farm, consisting of almost 200 (free range) farm animals (horses, donkeys, goats, sheep and pigs).

Daily tasks include:
- Feeding the animals with the tractor (Carrots, hay and/or alfalfa);
- Cleaning the stables;
- Making sure they have clean drinkingwater;
- Checking up on the animals for possible sickness or wounds;
- Checking the fence is still up (Our horses love rubbing their butts on the fence);
- Dealing with the daily, unpredictable challenges that come up;
- Documenting and sharing special moments on the farm with the rest of the Scooby team.
- Coming up with suggestions and taking initiative to improve the environment for the animals.

The other area for which we are searching for a new caretaker is the ''Garden''. The garden is the home of our cats, most of our puppies, ferrets, birds and some of our leishmania dogs.
Daily tasks include:
- Cleaning of the puppy paddocks, cattery, cat quarantain, bird cage, etc.;
- Feeding of all the animals in the Garden;
- Socializing with the puppies and kittens;
- Checking up on the animals for possible sickness or wounds;
- Managing the cat-database (entry of new cats, updating on adoptions, etc.)
- Documenting and sharing special moments from the garden with the rest of the Scooby team.
- Coming up with suggestions and taking initiative to improve the environment for the animals.

We are looking for hardworking people, with a heart for animals, who are willing to commit to work at the shelter for at least 6 months.

In exchange for the work we will provide you with basic accommodation and food, the opportunity to work in an international environment and be directly involved in the animal welfare movement in Spain, meet new people from all over the world and all walks of life, and last, but most important, you will receive the love and affection of the animals here at Scooby.

Did we spark you interest? Want to know more or are you already sure this is the thing for you!?
