Just over two hectares (five acres) in tropical North Queensland near Kuranda, just above Cairns, with one third dedicated to a beautiful tropical landscaped garden. The balance is natural bushland with a dam, native wildlife including wallabies, a huge range of bird life and frogs. There are also chooks, a vegie garden. a variety of tropical fruit trees and a very friendly dog.

Needing someone or a couple with a love of gardening and an appreciation of nature to help maintain this little piece of paradise. You work includes gardening, a bit of home maintenance, gardening (it's a big garden), a little bit of building and keeping the dog company.

Also looking for someone with the skills to help transform the shed into a separate living space. Longer term stayers considered if you can assist in this.

Shared meals and a lovely comfortable bed are provided in the home. However, no smokers or drug users please.

The property is close to natural swimming holes and national parks.

Helpers must not be afraid of hard work, however, you are not expected to work in the heat of the day. Four hours to six hours a day is usually enough to get a lot done.

Musicians and music lovers are also welcome. Kadanji Cottage is a registered house concert venue and hosts regular music events.

Own transport preferred - however, can pick up helpers from Cairns during the week or from Kuranda on weekends.
