Help renovate an old Sawmill and barns in the Picardy region (Somme Valley) in Northern France

Calling all persons wanting to have a taste of life in rural France, at the small village of Senarpont in the Picardy region / Somme valley.
Guy seeks help with renovation of an old sawmill and barns. Ideally looking for friendly, easy going mature people (male and female) who can work with others to provide help for 3 to 4 hours per day from mid July 2017. If you can spare a week or two or longer over the summer/autumn period this may appeal to you.

Motorcyclists, car drivers, camping, mobile homes, aviation enthusiasts and pet owners all welcome. This is a new project for me, so we will be all learning together and creating some memorable experiences.

All kinds of talents and knowledge are welcome, a willingness to help out is more essential. If you have general building or DIY skills that would be fantastic but a willingness to help out is more important. If you are reasonably fit, have a can do attitude, a sense of humour and are willing to muck in and do what is needed in terms of helping out with the on-going project to renovate a house and its accompanying barns I am interested in hearing from you. At the end of the day life is about having a good balance of work and play.
In return you will be able to enjoy simple rural living in the pretty village of senarpont in the beautiful Picardy region of Northern France. You will also have the opportunity to learn some building skills while working alongside or under the supervision of an experienced builder. A willingness to speak or teach others basic French would be an advantage as I would like us to enjoy a French language lesson over a shared evening meal (with a glass or two of wine to help improve our French!)

The location: Senarpont is a small village which is inland of the Le Treport estuary. It is situated approx 1hr20 min South of Calais, West of Dieppe and 20 min south of Abbeville airfield.

Nearest towns are Abbeville and Blangy-sur-Bresle (approx 10 mins drive)
Nearest small airfield (for those who are aviation minded) is Abbeville (approx 20 min drive)

Getting here from England– If driving get the Eurotunnel Folkstone to Calais(35mins crossing).
Drive from Calais to Senarpont using A16 and A28 motorway (South toward Rouen). Journey time approx 1hr 15 min. Alternatively take train to Abbeville or Arras and call to be picked up (approx 30 min drive).
