We are in the progress of relocating the whole business from where it was located for the last 33 year to our farm (250m up the road on the hill side with an incredible view)
At the moment we still don't know when exactly we will be open again, but hoping for reopening in summer. Due to that we are more limited with hosting volunteers at the moment. The living situation has changed a lot. We only have an outside toilet and shower and everything seems even more basic than before our move. On the other side we have an amazing view over the bay. ??
We might need people who have skills in building, gardening, planting, clearing bush, landscaping, driving machinery, and general outdoorsy work once we received the building permissions for the next steps of building. No need for volunteers in hospitality at the moment.

This is the 37th winery in New Zealand and a family operation. Danny, Claudia, Anneke, Bob and Rohan are winemakers, liqueurmakers, distillers, orchardists, gardeners and herb and tea growers. We produce a wide range of wines, liqueurs, cider and spirits and sell them in our Shop.

We also have an eatery with a woodfired pizza oven, bar, cafe and a very simple menu (pizza, fried food, salad).

We are located on the beautiful east coast of the Coromandel Peninsula, right between Hahei and Cooks Beach, near Whitianga in Mercury Bay.

Food, drinks and accommodation as well as rides to Cathedral Cove, Hot Water Beach etc.. are provided and transport might be arranged to and from Auckland as we do a return supply trip to K' Road occasionally.

We prefer easy-to-feed-helper. Due to our coastal live style we often eat fish and sea food!

In generel we are looking for self motivated people who like working in a team as well as independent and want to experience the coromandel lifestyle with us.

We need people who know how to behave in someone else's house, have experience living on there own or flatting and don't hesitate cleaning up there own mess as well as shared facilities (kitchen, bathroom etc.).

We are especially really busy from Christmas ongoing to Anzac day (January until April) but take people all year long.

We're looking for helpers who want to stay between 3 weeks and 3 month. We can't take people who want to stay just for a few days or a week.
WE PROBABLY WORK YOU HARD AND OUR ACCOMMODATION IS RUSTIC, but in exchange you get wonderful food, drinks and company and we always try to have a good balance between fun and work.

We have cats which live very close with us and especially like hanging around the helpers accommodation, so we can't have people who are allergic to our furry friends.

Evans Family

P.S.: please write us a mail. We can't organize helper on the phone.

*??*??summer update (Dec-April)*??*??:
Beside having 3 employees we are looking for a team of 4-6 volunteers staying with us during that time of the year. we probably work you hard, but in exchange you get amazing food, drinks and company. We are really generous with drinks and food and want everyone to have a great time while working here. Though the accommodation is quite rustic and mixed dorm organized.
And the opportunities to go to the beaches near by are always there. So you won't miss out on that!
