**PLEASE ONLY APPLY IF YOU HAVE KNOWLEDGE OF AND EXPERIENCE WITH HORSES**
I only ask this because we have taken people on to train them in the past and found it takes weeks for them to adjust and then it is time to leave - it is boring here for someone who does not know how to work with a horse. It can also be dangerous for someone who doesn't know what they are doing.

WE'RE LOOKING FOR WINTER SEASON HELPERS...

Working family farm/stud in rural North Yorkshire bordering the moor and large areas of forest, where we have 13 sport horses, chickens, and a dog. Help is required mainly to work with the horses e.g mucking and exercising- but also to maintain the farm. Experience with horses is necessary. We are self sufficient with a vegetable patch too so if you have green thumbs then that's a bonus!
We are situated near Helmsley, a small town with shops and pubs (and a bus system). In summer it's mostly hacking in miles of forest (you haven't seen riding like this!), and if you want to compete you can try that out too. We offer hunting twice a week in the winter season, and we can take anyone sightseeing if they wish.
The average day consists of feeding, mucking, grooming, riding and general care. During winter we hunt Wednesdays and Saturdays so preparation of the tack and horses ready for the 11am meet is important- this may mean rising at 7am on those days, or prep the night before. It's worth it though!

What we're looking for: hard working, outgoing people, who would be comfortable being left responsible for the horses for most of the day. This is in exchange for a bedroom and meals provided, and any local activities you would like to do.

My apologies if I don't get back to you straight away- I'm pretty busy but I try to get back to everyone when I get the chance!
