Hello, we're a family with mum Patricia (from Germany) and dad Gerard (Kiwi) and two boys living at home with us. Sam is 17 and working fulltime and Sasha is 14 and at high school. We also have a couple of people just renting a room each as our house is big. We have a lovely older dog, a golden retriever called Poppy. She loves people. Patricia works as a Yoga teacher and as a Nutritionist and Gerard is a commercial bee keeper. Our house is big and spacious with a spare bedroom for helpers. Bathroom is shared.
We need help with splitting a mountain of wood into firewood with a log splitter. Experience would be great, but if you're a handy and strong sort of person then you'll learn this in no time.
And we need help with spring cleaning the house from top to bottom (Ceilings, walls, lights, cupboards, windows, the whole lot ....) You really need to like cleaning or at least be okay doing the job. There might be a bit of other work. Because of the nature of the jobs we ideally want two people and as you'll be sharing one double bed a couple would probably be best :) We expect helpers to work 4.5 hours per day (starting early at 7:30 and working until around 12:30 with half an hour morning tea break in between) and on top of this help with household tasks like cooking dinner, doing dishes around dinner time and cleaning up after yourself. We provide food for breakfast and lunch and you make your own, but usually cook and eat dinner together. Patricia appreciates help with dinner preparation.
We would love to welcome a couple, staying together in one bedroom with a double bed.
Looking forward hearing from you. Thanks!
