YOU WILL LOVE IT!!!

BEAUTIFUL COOCHIEMUDLO ISLAND in Moreton Bay (BRISBANE) is where you will find my "TRAIN FARM" with 7 train carriages and my "QUIRKY COTTAGES" just down the road. I have a pet dog, donkey, sheep, chickens ducks and more.

HOW TO GET HERE?
Just 40 minutes drive east of Brisbane City to Victoria Point Jetty, then a short "FERRY RIDE" to Coochiemudlo Island. You can catch a bus from the city to Victoria point jetty or a train to Cleveland station then another bus to get here. I can pick you up from the Coochie jetty when you get here or it is a short walk. You may want to look up translink on the web for more info about buses and trains.

MY PROPERTY:
Located across the road from a lovely sandy beach. Close to golf course and a 10 minute walk form ferry.


YOUR ACCOMMODATION!!
Your "UNIQUE" accommodation will be in a cute little FULLY SELF CONTAINED train carriage.

BEDDING:
Sheets, blankets, pillows and a bath towel are provided for you if you do not have your own.



HOME ENTERTAINMENT:
Enjoy tv, dvds, various board games, cards, chess in your carriage.

LAUNDRY: You may use my washing machine and please hang clothes on line. If you want to use clothes dryer, I ask only $2 per load.



WHAT TO DO ON THE ISLAND:
Enjoy the sandy beaches, swimming, tennis, fishing, golf ($15 per game), (free golf clubs available) , nature walks and more.

There is also a restaurant and a corner store for basic needs.

OFF THE ISLAND - MAINLAND VICTORIA POINT
Close to shops, cinema only $7 movies, library and cafes in Victoria Point. Public transport from Victoria point jetty to shops and Brisbane city. One hour drive to Gold Coast or Sunshine coast.

WORKING HOURS:
I offer FREE ACCOMMODATION and a totally unique experience, in exchange for 3 to 3 1/2 hours help each morning. After 6 mornings worked, you will get a day off. YOU MUST BRING YOUR OWN FOOD, HOWEVER, SOME EVENING MEALS MAY BE PROVIDED on the very odd occassion.


WORK DUTIES MAY INCLUDE....
Feeding the bigger farm animals, chickens and guniea pigs, watering the gardens, mowing lawns, weeding and propagating plants or occassionally house hold duties like ironing, cleaning, making beds as well as simple things like painting


WHAT TO BRING:

MUST BRING FOOD AND DRINKS:
It is cheaper to buy food at Aldi or Woolworths at Victoria point, on the Main land

OTHER THINGS TO BRING:
Old clothes for working
Covered work shoes (joggers will do)
INSECT REPELLENT
Rain coat
Flash light (hand torch)

I own and operate zany, fun, happy and pet-friendly holiday home accommodation for all ages, called QUIRKY COTTAGES.

Please note, if you would like to enjoy a cheap holiday on Coochiemudlo Island, with your friends or family, you may book your very own "quirky" cottage, I give good rates off peak, arrive Monday depart Friday. Much cheaper than most back packer hostels!!!
