Hola Buenos dias! We are welcoming volunteers now! Starting on the 15th of January!
We are currently in the process of expansion getting ready for the summer so, most of our volunteer work is ourdoor and building related
In January, we are starting building our yurt and a compost toilet and solar showers! So we are looking for self movitate individuals with with woodwork or building yurts or someone who is happy to take the lead and help us build an awesome compost toilet/solar showers to come and share their skills with us in our beautiful space. If you have experience with Bioconstruction, carpentry, woodwork, building yurts/geodome do apply!.
Our eco farm is a sustainable space in the breathtaking Natural Park of Los Alcornocales, near Tarifa, surrounded by mountains, an eucalyptus forest, and cork oaks. We are Fernando and Daniela, a couple living a life based the principles of sustainability, rural life, spirituality and respecting nature and the rest of the creatures on it. Our eco farm has several spaces of bioconstruction and offers holistic retreats, workshops, meditation and healthy living courses. Our aim is to be a self-sufficient farm through permacultural and biocostructions design, solar energy, spring water from the mountain, allotment and fruit forest .
Fernando is very interested in self-sustainability, gardening, bioconstruction, meditatation and the development of communal living. Daniela's live is based on living in connecting with mother nature, mystics, spirituality, consciousness, indigenous traditions, healthy living and healing therapies.
We do our meditation practices and we are adapting a yoga space. The volunteers would be very welcomed to any of these activities. We are looking for people whom are full of live, that can work on their own and have a spark of iniciative,
that have energy and would love to immerse in the beauty of living in nature. People with energy, streght and stamina, good mental and physical health.
Also, those who share our philosophy of life which includes respecting the environment, healthy living (we are vegetarian), consciousness and who can feel part of the project. That’s why our farm is meat, fish , alcohol and drugs free. If you have your own skill or spiritual practice that you would like to share with us, you are most welcome!
To make sure we have inspirational communal living we are also looking for people who respect the spaces, keeping them clean and love to have harmony in their enviroment. There are two lovely dogs in the farm and three cats, so we prefer volunteers who enjoy being around animals.
Experience in Carpentry, Yurt making/building, stone building, Wood work is most welcome!
We are looking for volunteers who can assist us with the overall development of the eco farm. We currently have two bioconstructions and we’re planning on working on a new one. There’s also a garden and an orchard which will be expanding soon. We want people who can help us with:
building a yurt and a geodome
We expect 5 hours of work 5 days per week, and the days off would change depending on the week.
The project offers breakfast and lunch, and dinner is not included. In order to get the food for dinner, you can use the garden -when it’s harvestable- and you’ll be offered a lift to the supermarket in Facinas, the town nearby at least twice per week. We keep a rotation to make lunch between all the people in the project.
We are looking for a minimum stay of one week.. We have a double bed in a room and an individual one, both in a lovely cottage Ideally, We’re both looking for a couple or two friends who are travelling tohgether. If you are travelling alone and won't mind sharing the cottage with other, you can apply too.
We are looking for people experienced in bioconstruction, carpentry, woodwork, permaculture, managing retreats, building yurts/geodome
Some of the work is physical, so you will need to have awareness and good physical health to perform what this work entails. It is important that volunteers are motivated, who can use their own initiative, are able to manage themselves, and of course we want people bringing good energy to the project! We want to take care of the health of the group through supporting each other, but it’s very important to have self-sufficient and empowered people. Devasmita needs people who can both work physically and bring creativity. We really want people to be authentic! If you have any skills you would like to share we would love it! We are open to anything: spiritual activities, creative ones, therapies… We also want to learn from the volunteers!
Volunteers will have their own cottage, a cosy bioconstruction space, which keeps the temperature down in the summer and is very well isolated during winter. The cottage has a private room with a double mattress. It has a kitchen and space for sleeping and a sofa bed. For the cooler months there is a stove.
There is wifi working for several hours every day in the main house. The bathroom is in another cottage closer to the forest and it has a toilet, a sink and a shower with hot water.
Volunteers will be able to enjoy the natural space, lovely vegetarian food, a bed in our cosy house and you can join the activities in the farm and get some training in yoga and meditation. We speak Spanish and English, and Fernando loves teaching Spanish, so it can also be a good opportunity to learn the language.
The farm is a few minutes by car and an hour walk from Facinas, a lovely small typical Spanish village where they can enjoy local life and its beauty made by its views and its typical white houses.
