This property has been in the Pole family for hundreds of years, passed down from generation to generation, Bill and Esma Pole are now the current custodians of this amazing piece of paradise just 20 minutes drive from the CBD, located in the Adelaide Hills region famous for its world-renowned wines and scenery.

Bill, Esma and their Son Graham have together run Shiloh hills for over 40 years investing their time, love, and faith into the land and facilities, predominantly catering for church groups and school camps.

Luckily my Fiance and I now have the opportunity to work with the Pole family as managers to open our doors to everyone from all walks of life around the world.

Drawing on our experience working an award-winning family-friendly hostel in Albany, WA, has been voted number 1 in Australia. We aim to put Ironbank on the map as being home to one of the best all-round accommodation parks in South Australia.

As you can imagine, this is a BIG game and we need your help to make it happen. Volunteers from around the world add a diversity and atmosphere unlike any other. I was amazed when I first saw what this place has to offer and I hope you will be too!

We open doors on November 3rd, so there is lots to do before we open, any help will be greatly appreciated with no specific skills required as I am always around to offer direction and help, although of course any specialised skills you may have would be highly regarded. There is lots of cleaning, restoring, repairing, and renovating to do, as-well as the general upkeep of the business and land. With so much space and kilometres of walking trails there is always something to do ;) To those suited we may also need help in reception or with making breakfast for guests.

Georgia and I currently live in the guest house on the property, we have a couple of spare rooms and you are welcome to share our home. As of November, we will be living in the accommodation where you will be able to stay in one of the guest dorm rooms.

We will require 3 hours help per day in return for your bed, while the rest of your time can be spent enjoying our facilities and the surroundings. Food can be worked out on an individual basis as it is nice to all eat together, however, this isn't always possible. We will always try and be flexible with working times and days off as long as you let us know of your plans so we can arrange to suit.

Surrounded by bushland, native wildflowers only found on our land and all the koalas and kangaroos you could wish for there is always something to see; or else head to some of the amazing attractions in the hills, explore the 'city of churches' and the beaches just off the tram line from Adelaide.

We want everyone to experience an authentic, welcoming, family-friendly environment. Free from the stress of busy city life, to see the Stars and get back in touch with nature! RUN BY TRAVELLERS - FOR TRAVELLERS - 24/7

Lastly, I would like to thank you for taking the time to read this and look forward to hearing from you soon.
