10 acre farm, organic vegetables, apples, perennial gardens, chickens, horses(not at the moment) and an interesting array of buildings from wood sheds to brick house to log barns, greenhouse, stable and stone fences. Located in the north-west end of Ottawa - close to Carp Village.
There is hi speed wifi internet (but if you are going to be on your computer most of the day, this is not a good place)
Beautiful, peaceful location (forest on one side, river on the other). a cat, two sled dog huskies, hens and often horses. Usually, on the weekends
we are joined by my partner and a 5yr old happy boy. You will probably also meet some of the lovely neighbours around the farm.
It is fairly relaxed work atmosphere around here. A good place to pick up useful skills. Happy to share knowledge, patient and flexible. Love to learn new things.

Heated by wood stove. Pleasant outside garden spaces. You are invited/encouraged to take on creative/artwork projects that enhance the natural beauty of this space and land.

There is a guitar, drum, piano, bonfire, yoga and good food.
Wellness and cultural activity in the local area: Saturday farmers market, artist tours, forest, river, beach, great sunsets.
You are welcome to use the bicycles for touring and enjoy the Carp river behind the farm in the Canoe.
Local thursday am meditation group, open mic at the cafe, monday eve reiki circle.
Love sharing cooking/food, exploring outdoors. field trips to local rivers, townships, cultural events.
The bus to carp runs only on Wednesday. Otherwise there is good service to kanata, which is 15 minutes from the Farm.
35 mins drive from downtown Ottawa.
A week to a month, can be extended depending on how well we get along. Can host single person or couple. You will get your own furnished room.
Expect about 4 hours of work a day.
