Currently looking for a longer term helper from mid june , but all inquiries welcomed...
We are 6.5km from the Takaka township and 500mts from Pohara beach, cafes, bars and a small shop. Our home is warm, friendly and has a rural outlook.
We are both very relaxed, tidy men so your tasks are varied and easy. Some meals to prep , bit of clean and tidy, etc. Feed the chooks, some gardening, all easy stuff. We ask for 3 hrs per day.
We are offering you your own warm room, all meals, use of a car(as long as you have a valid licence), mountain bikes, fishing rods, with boat trips(we spend a lot of time on our boat so a love of the water will be handy)and limited Internet provided. Every 2nd weekend and half school holidays off, so lots of time to explore the area.
My son is 13yrs old and a very active young man, he enjoys down hill mountain biking, rugby, fishing and loves music(and is learning how to play guitar)
We gather and collect shellfish etc from the local beaches and bays regularly and enjoy cooking and introducing local foods to our Helpers.
The minimum stay we prefer is 2 weeks (the longer the better)but all requests are taken on there merits :)
