We have a farm twenty minutes south of Tela, with a picturesque landscape with rivers and mountains nearby. We grow oranges, mandarins, avocados, lychees, mangoes. We also cultivate Tilapia. We have cows, horses and chickens.
We have an 80 acres farm and are in the process of building an eco lodge/hotel at our farm. We only have 5 workers that are local farmers who also live in the farm. We need volunteers with carpentry skills, construction, renovation, permaculture.
Also we need help planting fruit trees, or if you would like to start your own project - we would be more than happy to support your ideas.
We can offer a shared room in the house. Or camping ground. We offer 3 meals a day.
In your free time and days off (1 - 2 days per week) you can use our swimming pool, go horseback riding, hiking, go to the beach, explore Tela, and surrounding Garifuna villages...
Transport will be provided to and from the farm.
