About us:

For the past 14 years Huanchaco FC has run a youth soccer academy, here in Huanchaco beach, Peru, for boys aged 7 to 16. The main goal of the club is to develop and place young talents on the U17 Peru National Team. The players are selected for their talent to form an elite team. The long-term plan is to help develop the players so that they can become professional players and play at the highest level. As well as focusing on technical development, Huanchaco FC places great emphasis on inculcating them with positive values. We believe that being a good person is as important as being a good soccer player and that these skills can help them overcome the situations that they are often presented with. This is one of the major reasons why we are seeking volunteers. By creating a positive environment, our players can thrive. The success of this approach can be seen by the fact that the majority of our first generation of players (1998/99) are now playing at both the national... more inside

Description:
Our accommodation is located in Santiago de Surco, a beautiful residential area of Lima, very close to touristy areas like Barranco or Miraflores. We have enough space to accommodate 8 travelers per night. As our accommodation is small we give our guests a different and more personal service. We started hosting travelers as a hobby in 2009 and started this project in 2012. Since then we have been quite successful and now our accommodation is a favorite among travelers who visit Lima. As we are now quite busy we are looking for a volunteer to support us a bit.

NO FEES. ONE MONTH MINIMUM STAY. ENGLISH mandatory. Our farm is below Corongo in Northern Ancash, 7 hours from Huaraz or Chimbote, or 14 hours bus from Lima. We teach Natural Farming and search for volunteers that want to learn about it. We recommend reading "The One Straw Revolution" by Masanobu Fukuoka, for information about what it is.
Our farm is about 2600 masl but we have fields until about 3500 meters altitude, for the cultivation of many highland crops and frost-resistant crops from the northern hemisphere. We run a small seedbank.
Natural farming has influences from southern China; from Daoism, but also from traditional ways of mountain-peoples from Amerika to Europe and India. It is spiritual farming, searching for the Sacred Road ; Dao. It is about reverence for life, like Albert Schweitzer called it; to tread softly on the ground.
One of our main principles is: No Burning (except for firewood in the stove of course) It is the burning that has made all the Andes-mou... more inside

I am a Doctor of alternative medicine which I practice since 11 years in the Peruvian Amazon and I'm currently looking for volunteers who have an interest in learning more about these healing techniques. My treatment includes the usage of indigenous medicinal plants, chinese ear acupuncture and magnetic resonance healing for which I have decades of experience. More information on my techniques and cases are available on my website. Accommodation is in a beautiful and comfortable private jungle cabin, ayahuasca and san pedro ceremonies can be organized if interested. Rates
are $20 per person per day including food, or $10 per
person per day not including food.

Now I'm having a cancer patient who needs to be attended, and through this you would experience the healing process and learn so much of the aplication of natural healing methods.
