Description:
Our accommodation is located in Santiago de Surco, a beautiful residential area of Lima, very close to touristy areas like Barranco or Miraflores. We have enough space to accommodate 8 travelers per night. As our accommodation is small we give our guests a different and more personal service. We started hosting travelers as a hobby in 2009 and started this project in 2012. Since then we have been quite successful and now our accommodation is a favorite among travelers who visit Lima. As we are now quite busy we are looking for a volunteer to support us a bit.

About us:

For the past 11 years Huanchaco FC has run a youth soccer academy, here in Huanchaco beach, Peru, for boys aged 8 to 18. The main goal of the club is to develop and place young talents on the U17 Peru National Team. The players are selected for their talent to form an elite team. The long-term plan is to help develop the players so that they can become professional players and play at the highest level. As well as focusing on technical development, Huanchaco FC places great emphasis on inculcating them with positive values. We believe that being a good person is as important as being a good soccer player and that these skills can help them overcome the situations that they are often presented with. This is one of the major reasons why we are seeking volunteers. By creating a positive environment, our players can thrive. The success of this approach can be seen by the fact that the majority of our first generation of players (1998/99) are now playing at both the national... more inside

Description
"Farming is the new hipster occupation"

***Volunteer at Nuevo Cherry Hill
We are Joshi and Arianna and we own a small urban farm placed in the centre of Jaen, Cajamarca (just two blocks from the main square).
Actually Jaén is located in the cloud/fog forest of Peru (it is a weird jungle, people here don't look, act or think like Peruvian Humans from the Jungle).

My husband Josh is an expat from the USA and I´m a peruvian young poet. We used to live in Lima, but a couple years ago we decided to move to the jungle in order to live close to the nature (our own jungle dream).

We are interested on hosting people, work together and enjoy.

We want to breed goats and make cheese, build chicken coops and grow organic vegetables.

We offer lots of coffee, tasty food, a cozy place to stay and fun!

Our property is placed two blocks from the main square. There is a market place pretty close to our place, drugstores and more shops. Also the General Hospital is in... more inside

We are a small organic farm located on the Tambopata River in Puerto Maldonado, in the amazing Peruvian Amazon. We are always looking to help volunteers and travelers enjoy their experience in Peru. We have a small rustic housing on the Tambopata River near the native community of Infierno. We offer a tranquil work experience in the Peruvian Rainforest for all kinds of travelers and volunteers.

We only accept volunteers over 18 years old. We don't usually accept pets because of the amazing wildlife on the property; we try to maintain a natural and harmonious habitat for these animals.

We are currently looking for volunteers to help with re creating a botanical garden, a bamboo forest, and general landscaping for both medicinal plants and fruit trees. We also need a hand in light building, painting, trail making, carpentry and tile work.

We are a family with 3 children and we have a small farm close to the Amazon forest. We own 25 ha but cultivate only 6, the rest we are reforesting slowly the natural way.

We grow coffee, cacao and mango mainly. We have many indigenous plants (medicinal and food) that we let grow wild.
We have other crops for our own consumption like yucca, uncucha (root crop), banana, papaya, lemon, oranges, masasamba, ginger, pineapple, avocado, and corn for the animals.
We use the wild crops for consumption but this depends on the season. In dry season the wild crops usually dry out and appear again the next rainy season.

We have some chicken, turkey, geese and guinea pig for our own consumption too. Other animals are the dogs and cats.

In harvesting season, between February and June, we harvest coffee and cacao. In June we also harvest the root crops. Although we spend a lot of time on the harvest, we also need to weed in this time of year.
The rest of the year, there is a lot of we... more inside
