I am happy to host a single or pair who can do some home maintenance/DIY, general housework and gardening in Inner City Sydney. It's a terrace House with a small garden that is part way through renovation. I need help unpacking boxes and sorting things so I can get some empty spaces ready for the next stage of builders to come and do their work.

Stairs to bedroom. One bedroom available to helpX person(s). The house has 3 bedrooms. I need to store the stuff out of the way in the spare room. The helpX guest(s) will have 1 room and I have the other. The Helpx room has a double bed.

I live near Redfern Train Station and within walking distance to King St, Newtown where there are bars and restaurants and music and movies. Only 1 km from Central Railway station and on the airport train line.

You don't need any special skills but would like it if you are not famous for being clumsy. Cooking is basic until renovation is complete.

Situated 15 minutes outside Darwin City, Virginia is my breezy 5 acre property, full of exotic palms, cycads. Currently under construction a fresh water stream with built in rock pools. This involves manual labor ground preparation, mixing cement and stone pitching, my aim is to create a tropical wonderland so pruning palm fronds and garden maintenance is ongoing. Furthermore build eco accommodation in the tree tops which provides visitors with a feel of freedom within natural calming surroundings. I believe just as an artist applies his craft with paints onto a canvas the landscape is also a canvas and we my friends from various corners of the globe are the artists who collectively over time create a masterpiece all of witch begins in our imagination then turned into creation.. We are friendly relaxed people, flexible on arrangement, ie. base rate we supply accommodation a/c room separate bathroom free wifi & 3 healthy feeds per day in exchange 3 hours labor as directed for 7 days.... more inside

Our property is located 10 minutes from Narrabri in northwest NSW which has a population of 7000 people. There is an indoor aquatic centre, movies, airport and daily train service to Sydney. We have 130 ha in two farms 10 to 20 minutes from town. We have sheep, horses (for recreational riding), cattle and chocks and a dog. We also operate an agricultural crop spraying business and an agricultural research business in cotton and wheat. Accomodation is a private ensuite room joined to the house but with separate entrance,..

We are looking for help around the farm with sheep work and with the two business which mainly involves moving vehicles from one farm to another, a good way to see the local district. There may also be some field work in cotton over the summer. The work is dependent on rain and the time of year but there Is plenty of variety on a daily basis. My sister (Bloss) and I (Rhu) have a 13,500 acre beef cattle property (Huntly) in central Queensland not far from Carnarvon Gorge National Park. Between us we run about 2000 cattle. We mostly use horses for mustering cattle but also have motorbikes and quad bikes if needed. My sister lives full time on the farm and I travel up regularly from the Gold Coast where I have an international development consulting firm. We also have a small 45 acre farm in northern NSW.

We have had many volunteer workers over the past 10 years many of whom have said that the time spent on our farm has been the highlight of their visit to Australia. You will be welcomed as one of the family.

We care passionately about the environment and as can be seen in the photos have carefully preserved our trees and have an ongoing tree planting programme.

We have 2 houses close together so good-quality private bedroom accommodation is nearly always available. For the adventurous wanting to get closer to ... more inside
