Allens Rivulet Farm is now closed for helpers for the winter - it's been a busy summer on our mostly organic/biodynamic old mixed farm with so many great helpers coming to stay. We've had a ball. Our farm is located in the idyllic Allens Rivulet region just south of Hobart - with loads of great HelpX workers helping out and partying in our old Appleshed at night. The farm is located 30 km's southwest of Hobart and is easily accessible via the Huon Highway (we can pick you up from the bus stop along the highway). At the moment the summer jobs are complete, but we now need to do some fencing plus we have some small renovations on old sheds on the go. We also have horses (mine and others) and lots of baby chickens to look after. There is plenty of work to do to keep the farm running. Summertime help is bringing in the hay and weeding, for the rest of the year it is random jobs to suit your skill base. You will stay in a small self contained cottage. After hard days of work we have plen... more inside

We are in Hepburn Springs in Central Victoria, and looking for a couple or a few friends , from late May, for a variety of tasks. As we have sold this property, Malcolm has a shed to sort out and empty. There is some lifting and shifting, and we have a garden and orchard to maintain, there is dog walking, and there are tasks to do on a block of land in nearby Daylesford where we are building a new home. Usually 4-5 hours of Morning work, only 5 days a week with Fridays and Sundays off. We may ask you to work with another local host for one day (usually Saturday) during your stay here. You are welcome to come bushwalking with our local group on Fridays. Stays of 3-7 days.Public transport from Southern Cross Station. Love to hear from you Ruth and Malcolm.

Hello and welcome to Australia!

We have a room available from the 3 may,

My husband and I are in our late 50's, but we always have great pleasure having young people around us and would encourage you to be part of our family and not stay hidden in your room...

You expect our helpx to work 4 hours a day in exchange for your own bedroom, free wifi, breakfast, lunch, dinner! Your work will mostly be some housework (cleaning the house, ironing, vacuuming, helping with the dishes etc...) or some gardening and painting.

If you stay a full week, you will have one day off. We are flexible with the way you do your hours, if you wanted to combine hours in one day to have an extra day off, this is fine with us.

We are originally from Switzerland, we also speak French. We have a chef at home and you do not need to cook.

We are very friendly and love to hear about your adventures in Australia .. And we can share ours!!

Our house is located 22km from Brisbane ci... more inside

** 2 HELPERS WANTED **

We are a 2 child family (aged 6 & 9) living outside the funky market town of Eumundi, 25 mins to the beaches of Noosa. There's lots to see in the area, we love nature, have bikes to ride and for longer stays there are opportunities to borrow our canoe to take up the Noosa River to camp for the weekend. The property has plenty of space and beautiful views with lots of plans to turn it into a productive organic oasis.

Current inside jobs include general cleaning and house work. Outside work is planting hedge, tending vegetable gardens, building a fish pond and helping with the chickens. This will all be with guidance from us so it's fine if you have never done this before. Just be ready to learn. :-)

You can start early and spend the day at the beach or exploring the area. Own car would be needed for daily trips to the beach though.

We try to give visitors a variety of jobs to keep it interesting or to suit the weather where possible.

We are a fun family with 3 children (7, 13 & 15), cats, dogs, chickens and horses.

Our home is a large, comfortable mud-brick house that has been hand crafted using reclaimed materials. We live 15 minutes South of the border of NSW and Victoria where the famous Murray River flows. The countryside around us is attractive and there are fantastic views from the hill behind our home.

There are miles of walking trails joining our land if you are into adventuring. There are usually kangaroos around, as well as occasional echidnas and wombats.

Albury/Wodonga is a popular stopping point for people travelling between Sydney and Melbourne. We are approximately 3-4 hours from either Melbourne or Canberra, 5-7 hours from Sydney.

The accommodation here is your own room, either with a gorgeous queen-size four-poster bed, or one of two single beds. Both rooms are in a separate part of the house and are away from the rest of the family. We prefer helpx guests to stay for approxi... more inside
