We are a mother and son(15yo) living in a cute residential home. We need some help over the christmas period until the end of January, to look after out house, our garden and most importantly our dog Ruby, a 3year old Staffy. We are close to Rapid Creek Water Gardens and markets, and with the use of our bikes are close to the beach and the Casuarina Coastal Reserve. We have a spa and air conditioners in the bedrooms, and very comfortable living areas.
We also need some help in the next few months with paving our driveway.
Thanks, Cath

This is a beautiful little farm surrounded by native forest and apple and cherry orchards. Yum! I live alone except for ducks and geese, oh and my pet python. I like reading, can make reasonable coffee and try to eat only food I harvest.

I have spent most of my life working in conservation biology. I have traveled to many countries and also done a bit of volunteering, including two years volunteering in Wadi Rum in Jordan in 2011-13 working on threatened species reintroduction.

I am now settling down a bit and putting my efforts into my own parch of earth. Two years ago I bought a cottage on a small and very neglected old organic farm. I am restoring an apple orchard and have planted a variety of other fruit trees and a vegetable garden. I have put in solar power, rainwater tanks and am making the house energy efficient. My aim is to be reasonably self-reliant.

I need help on the farm looking after the trees and garden and doing landscaping, building, planting, beekeeping... more inside

Helpers needed in September 2016 for lime picking and orchard maintenance work such as pruning, weeding and mulching. Other jobs available are listed below. Would suit a couple or 2 friends travelling together. Experience with a small tractor would be great but not essential. This farm is a scenic 12.5 acre property situated ten minutes from Gympie, and 1 hour from Noosa and beautiful Rainbow Beach. From there you can get to Fraser Island. We have two friendly dogs, an irrigated orchard of 300 lime trees, vegetable and other gardens, 1 horse, free range chickens and a small herd of goats. We have goat twins born (21/9) Our French helpers named them Marcel and Chippie :) Other jobs include; mowing/slashing, brush cutting, gardening, goat care, feeding, milking and general farm maintenance. Cooking and cleaning as jobs are also a helpful option. Hours and days vary depending on demand for limes, average 20-25 hours per week. Shared meals or food provided to make your own. We offer 3 months work to qualify for the second year visa. This is an Australian Timber plantation and Labradoodle dog breeding farm. At the moment we need the help of a young man for some of the harder jobs as we are renovating. We would like help with the dogs, in the workshop, the house and on the property we live and work on. It is therefore important that you like dogs.
We have a lot of puppies at the moment and would appreciate longer term helpers. If you have the right attitude, paid work is available in the afternoon. According to the new Immigration laws, YES we qualify for your application of a Second Year Working Visa for Australia through a 3 month (88 days) work contract. We would also appreciate help from guys as we have a few 'heavier' jobs that need to be done.
If you are the kind of person who likes to be a happy cheerful person, like many of our visitors, then you are most welcome. We love sharing with you the way we do things as this will add to your life's exp... more inside

Looking for that special someone who adores and enjoys spending time with Dogs to help out with the day to day activities of our Show/Breeding Kennel. Work is not difficult and lots of opportunities for Canine cuddles and Puppy Play. Our Dogs, although a full on energetic Breed are generally well behaved, well mannered, and are always happy. Some are House dogs, so you MUST be comfortable with this and having 'Lap Time' as they LOVE cuddles.

We appreciate a minimum of 2 weeks but truly any time is wonderful, we just love the opportunity of Cultural Exchanges. We are a Friendly welcoming Couple, who although new to HelpX have had many years Hosting BackPackers, with many Friends made and return Visits.

While we do NOT believe in taking advantage of our Helpers ever, we do love those who get in and really help take the pressure off our very full days (not add to it)....Initiative, Responsibility and Attention to Detail are BIG pluses!
