We have been hosting helpers now since February 2011 and are very happy with experiences to date. We have met a wide range of travellers and pleasingly many have returned for second stays.

primarily, trades people and / or handyman or people who can use electrical equipment such as drills and sanders are most suited here

so far we have had helpers from Spain, England,(a lot of English) China, Taiwan, France, (a lot of French) germany, norway, sweden, netherlands.
Belgium, japan, Denmark, Finland, United States Hong kong, Italy, Canada and Wales.
We are situated halfway between Brisbane and the Gold Coast with beautiful warm weather easy access to beach and hinterland. Train is nearby and 5 minute access to 8 lane motorway between Brisbane and the Gold Coast.

we have a few odd jobs around the place to be done but our emphasis is on keeping the house clean and running smoothly, laundry everyday, poker and ping pong are always on the agenda.

We are Todd and Wiebke and we live on an avocado and garlic farm outside of Toowoomba (1.5hrs from Brisbane). We have two horses. And we also have a border collie named Pebbles.
I work as a photographer and in accountancy and Todd is an aircraft engineer and works on helicopters. Todd is Australian and I am German.
We have both travelled a lot through Europe, South East Asia, Canada, America and Australia and we know how great it is to see a bit of the local life instead of one backpacker after the other.

We now have an avocado and garlic farm so we are looking for fit energetic helpers to help around the farm,( weeding, picking, planting, gardening, cleaning up, painting etc), general housework and help looking after our horses and dog.
At the moment we need help with mulching the avocados and we will be picking our garlic in a few weeks.

We can also sign off on 2nd year visas.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

We live in the rainforest hinterland behind Byron Bay. The nearest town is Mullumbimby 20 minutes away.

We are developing an edible forest garden on a permaculture design beginning with about 2 hectares of our land, and slowly returning the rest to rainforest. We are chemical free, working with the weeds rather that against nature. We are not aiming to be self-sufficient in food, rather to have an abundant food supply, which we supplement from the butcher, the grocer and the deli.

We benefit from all the help that is offered in developing the place, and love the companionship of sharing the journey with like minded folk or those just beginning on the path of growing food.

We expect four hours work a day six days a week. Our helpers have stayed from a minimum of ten days to a maximum of two months, and some leave for a beach break, and then come back.

Work includes maintaining and establishing gardens; weeding, digging, mulching and planting; window and house cleaning; p... more inside

Hello!
We are a family of five. We love where we live with our three girls (8 years, 10 years and 12 years old)and a young black labrador dog and we would welcome you to join our family to experience the Geradlton way of life. Shane works full time and I work 3 days a week so help is required with cooking, laundry, cleaning and occasional child care. Geraldton is a four hour drive north of Perth (or a 7 hour bus trip). We live in Wandina which is a suburb south of the Geraldton town centre. It takes about 6 minutes by car to get to town or about 25 minutes by bike (of which we have one for you to borrow). We are also on the local bus circuit that takes you into town. We are a short walk from local beaches and sand dunes. Accommodation is a spare bedroom in the house with a shared bathroom with the children. We like to be active on the weekends and depending on the weather we may be surfing, walking or riding. We welcome you to join our happy, comfortable life.
