We are looking for energetic, self motivated & happy people with a very good understanding of the english language to help us maintain the lodge & grounds where required. Current work could include gardening & lawns, painting, small labour jobs around the place & sometimes helping out with meals. I have a beautiful rose garden that requires constant maintenence so if you have a passion for roses, great! Helpers with building, plumbing, arbourist skills etc are most welcome at the moment. Organic Status:
We are looking for 1 or 2 fit, energetic people at a time to help us restore and develop our harbour-side bush property. We need help to eradicate weeds, do soft and hard landscaping, increase our vegetable supply, and tend the chickens. We have a magnificent view of Whangarei Harbour, are adjacent to a golf course, close to lovely beaches and tramping tracks, and 15 minutes from the centre of Whangarei. We prefer those with their own transport as there is a very limited bus service (morning and evening in summer only), but a bike is available. We offer all meals and accommodation in a large downstairs room with own bathroom (or in an old campervan if you like roughing it) in return for 4 hours work per day. At the moment we really need a landscaper and/or arborist. Thanks.

Organic Status: Mostly
We live in a rural part of the Bay of Islands, with extensive views overlooking (extinct) volcanoes. Our 40 ha property is two-thirds protected native forest, with one third in pasture on which we run a small beef herd. Birdlife is abundant and we hear kiwis all year round! We also have a few sheep, ducks in the orchard, vegie gardens, a uniquely designed home, and a separate cosy cottage for guests. Only 4km from the highway, yet you will find yourself in a tranquil setting. Work is varied: gardening, landscaping, farm work, tree nursery, pest control, firewood gathering and more. Food is healthy & home-made, mostly grown from our own property. Our interests include: caring for our native bush and bird life, farming, gardening, art and creativity, music, sailing, kayaking, fishing, and cultural exchange, wood work, good food and fun! Your own transport is preferred, as there is no public transport. We live in an area which is 20 minutes away from the nearest town, (Keriker...

We are inviting travellers to share our lifestyle and work with us in the very beautiful far north. Some of the most spectacular coastal walks, beaches, and best shellfish and fishing grounds NZ has to offer are on our doorstep... we are only 60 kilometers to Cape Reinga.
Our property is mostly organic but not certified. We have a range of farm animals such as pigs, beef cattle, chooks, milking sheep, and turkeys. We also have two Jack Russell dogs Tai and Pippy, who live with us in and out of the house. Work will vary to suit the needs of the seasons but include gardening, weeding, house cleaning, cooking, feeding animals particularly the pigs, painting and other tasks as needed. Helpers who stay with us need to be motivated self starters with a good work ethic.
In the near future we will more than likely need help bottle feeding new born lambs.
We really enjoy people staying with us and having BBQ's, cooking and eating quality home grown foods, and generally living "The...

Cottage and rambling, overgrown orchard and gardens, chooks in one of New Zealand's most beautiful coastal villages, right across the road from the water. Walking distance to lovely village with art galleries, coffee shop, library. Growing bananas and other fruit and veges. Need strong willing workers, to help with gardening, clearing, tree care and general property maintenance, some carpentry skills would be helpful. You need some knowledge and experience of gardening, as I unfortunately do not have the resources for training folks from scratch. Non-smokers only, household is not strictly vegetarian but definitely vegetarian-friendly. I can offer accommodation and meals for 3-5 days in exchange for work.

we are setting up house in Russell and need some people to help us planting trees and clean up weeds and set up vege garden. We need 2 people as soon as possible for 3 weeks now.
We moved to NZ 20 years ago, have been traveling, sailing and living in the caribbean before that and have had a farm in kerikeri until last year. All children have left and farm activities were too much for us. The place became too big and we moved to Russell.
Before moving to the big house we lived in the "love shack" for 1 year. It shows as the last of our pictures. This will be your accomodation with view over the sea.
We have found some people to help us for now, so we will upgrade again when we know when we will need some more people later in the year. Good luck to you all finding some nice hosts.
