We are a easy going couple in our thirties who have a 16 acre farm that we brought nearly four years ago. As we now have a 2 year old gorgeous wee girl and my partner works long hours we could really do with some help on the farm to continue building our dream.
A friend of ours also lives here in his shack and is currently building a tiny house for himself on the property. We also have a couple of caravans and a cabin onsite.
We started on our property with only a caravan and a bare block. We now have built a shack around our caravan and have some other infrastructure in place like large chook coups, gardens, compost toilet and compost bins, dirt bike track, woodshed, yards and more.
We all follow similar ideas for the farm trying to maintain a chemical, spray free paradise for us, our child and family.
We would one day like to be in a position to supply all our friends and family with spray free produce and organic meat etc to make sure everyone has health and well bein... more inside

Read our feedback, you will be convinced!!!

Having recently retired from the position as General Manager at Tangiaro Kiwi Retreat my partner and I are spending some time on our yacht currently in the Bay of Islands. I have been involved with hosting HelpX's for over 12 years and this is my personal host profile. We are offering someone (one person) an opportunity to come and stay onboard with us and help out with a few jobs, nothing to strenuous, polishing stainless, painting etc.
Katrin and I are social and enjoy having a drink at the end of the day, so if you don't like to partake, this position will not be suitable for you.
In return for your help we will offer you your own cabin onboard our 16m yacht and your daily food. YOU WILL NEED TO SUPPLY YOUR OWN ALCOHOL.

There are beautiful beaches, stunning walks and plenty of adventures to be had...fishing, snorkeling, etc. So add this one to your 'Must Do... more inside

Greetings from Karen and critters.
Bending Tree is a small hobby farm with friendly animals..I have a few calves, sheep, lambs, ducks, chinese silkie hens, three legged cat who rules and the donkeys all with different personalities and fun to be with. After volunteering in a donkey sanctuary in Ireland I decided to breed donkeys here in NZ in my retirement and I love it.
Maungaturoto is a small village with shops, two cafes and great old fashioned fish and chips. It's an easy walk or there are two bikes.
Waipu Cove and Mangawhai beaches are 20 minutes away. Also glowworm cave within 20 minutes by car. Feel like a cool swim in small waterhole only 5 k away.

We have fun animals to enjoy and recently two new donkey foals. With spring coming I am training donkeys and good to have help with this
I provide meals and accommodation for 4 hours help per day.
Some flexibility with hours so you can have time to explore but mostly we start 7.30 and have the afternoon off to relax or ... more inside

Welcome! My name is Robert

I am hoping to find helpers to share and help create my home and garden.

I live in an old home in a quiet setting near the ocean, 7km to Waipu centre, which is 140km north of Auckland and 40km south of Whangarei.

I am very open-minded and respect all other diverse cultures and ways of life.

A huge backyard, with rural views, and lots of native bird life. 6 acres... Lots of space.
I enjoy the natural surroundings and "relish" in the garden.
Have a small vege patch and an abundance of fruit trees so the kitchen can be a little chaotic as fruit ripens. My best mate is Charlie (my dog).
I may not always have time to show you around, as I am usually busy working but you will enjoy the area's natural beauty anyways.
There are wonderful beaches nearby ... I can sometimes give you a lift to town or the beach. The home is idyllically secluded so the space is as free as you want it to be. Nearby ... swimming, surfing, bushwalking, tramping, cyc... more inside

We are a busy family of 5 with an additional 2 people also living in a self contained flat - Nana and Poppa.
3 children aged between 7 - 13 a small dog and a boat.

We are hoping that in exchange for a place to stay and sharing dinner with us that you will help out with gardening work around the property. Stays can be from 1-2 nights up to a few weeks depending on visitors requests. Gardening work would involve pruning flax and weeding gardens, trimming small trees and hedges. This isn't difficult work and most capable people could perform these tasks.

We love going to the beach and doing all the fun beach things like diving swimming and fishing in summer months weather permitting.

Hi, Steve and Joanne here. We live on a pretty quiet 7.3 acre lifestyle block in Ruatangata, about 25 minutes north of Whangarei.

It's just beside a kiwi reserve so you can sometimes hear them at night. No noise pollution and views of the stars are amazing.

We are currently setting up a proper free range egg farm on our lifestyle block, so there's 400 chooks (far away from the house) along with some goats, a fat lazy cat, rabbits, sheep, calves, ducks, Kune kune pigs and our small two year old human.

We are pretty easy going, and just looking for some help really! For those that are interested in farming I can teach you how to do basics stuff like fencing and anything else I can. At the very least you'll definitely learn how to look after some animals!

Lots of jobs to do, mostly cleaning outside, tidying, moving stuff, maybe spraying weeds, maybe painting or planting, making nesting boxes for chooks and getting our sleepout ready for habitation! It is almost ready ... more inside
