We have a nice home on 10 hectares in the beautiful Diggers Valley. The view from the house is amazing and diverse depending on where you are looking from. There is lots of Kanuka and mixed native bush, along with paddocks for the goats, quails and the farmers beef cattle. The house is comfortable and warm and being redecorated, it's only 10 years old.
We are looking for helpers to stay and help with a range of jobs, of course the decorations, but also weed control, gorse removal, fencing, gardening, plumbing, electrical, paddock creation, goat health maintenance, firewood collection, pest control, lawn maintenance and general duties. These are all the things we have to do....not all of them are needed every day, and will depend on the time of year

Your own vehicle is needed to get in and out of town.
We are also located along the Te Araroa trail, so walkers wishing to stop for a few days, take in the area and help out are very welcome.

No TV or mobile reception, but we have... more inside

We are a french/kiwi family of 3. We are living between Kerikeri and Paihia in the beautiful Bay of ISlands. Our warm house is in the country and we share it with Penny the dog, our chickens and cows.
We need helpers for some projects around the house ( fencing and planting fruits trees, helping with the veggies garden..)
Simeon , the kiwi part of the family, has a few differents jobs with could be some new experiences for you: beekeeping, saw milling and farming.
We love going out on the boat fishing or diving and having nice yummi diners with friends.
The helper will have a nice warm room and his own bathroom. Having a car is a plus because we are 25 mn from town and not on the main road who make it hard to hitchick!we do not ask any work with our baby!! Helper needed around 15 of october.

Cheers

We live in Waipapa/Kerikeri on a rural, 4ha life-style property. We have cows, ducks, chickens and a large vegetable garden. There is separate 2 bedroom accommodation for guests.

The intercity bus stops in Kerikeri. Our property is 5km from State Highway 10. We will collect you from Kerikeri if necessary.

Help needed is varied: gardening, pruning trees, drain clearing, room painting and repair, building painting and repair, weed control, farm maintenance, fencing, chopping wood.
In return we will provide free accommodation and meals.

Most of our food comes off the property and we aim to be as sustainable as possible.

Hi

We need help with a 2 ha garden and general maintenance (pruning, weeding, painting....). We are based just off SH1 (the main north south route) about 15 mins from Kerikeri and the East Coast (Paihia/Waitangi). Close to Ngawha thermal Springs and Kawiti Glowworm caves. Fluent German and enough French for basics.

We have a two dogs, chicken and a tiny orchard.

En suite double or twin bedroom, wi fi and shared Sky TV. Shared meals (but if vegetarian cook your own). Your own transport would be ideal, but we can provide lifts to most places.

See you soon

Welcome! My name is Robert

I am hoping to find helpers to share and help create my home.

I live in an old home in a quiet setting near the ocean, 7km to Waipu centre, which is 140km north of Auckland and 40km south of Whangarei. I am gay-friendly (straight people welcome). A huge backyard, with rural views, and lots of native bird life. 6 acres... Lots of space. I enjoy the natural surroundings and "relish" in the garden. Have a small vege patch and an abundance of fruit trees so the kitchen can be a little chaotic as fruit ripens. My best mate is Charlie (my dog).
I may not always have time to show you around, as I am usually busy working but you will enjoy the area's natural beauty anyways. There are wonderful beaches nearby ... I can sometimes give you a lift to town or the beach. The home is idyllically secluded so the space is as free as you want it to be. Nearby ... swimming, surfing, bushwalking, tramping, cycling, hitchhiking, beachcombing - you can do a lot here. T... more inside

Our family enjoy having fun, gardening, building things, and enjoying all that our area has to offer.

In exchange for work on our property including gardening, weeding, DIY etc, we will provide accomodation, food, and fun.
Accomodation is in your own comfy caravan very close to the house with Wifi.

we are in the suburb of Whangarei, easily accessible to downtown by bus (if you don't have a car) or on foot(6kms).
our property is next to a reserve and although we are part of the town it feels very rural with bush and a stream on our boundary.
we are a family of 5 but the 3 children have now left home...we have had young men students/apprentice/workers living in the house for 3 years while we were renovating the house but the renovation still needs work and to finish it we have moved to a caravan on the front section...
we need to find mature and motivated young people who can work independantly and have some knowledge about building, painting and maintening a property. My husband and I like to have foreign visitors and we are always happy to share good conversation and help young travelers on their journey... we enjoy sailing, going for walks, gardening and eating good healthy food (our vegies come mainly from our organic garden).

People have called it the closest thing to Fiji.
we are a very loving family run business and are looking for help with general house duties and cleaning.also some painting.some gardening too. all are welcome.
accommodation will be provided for the length of stay. You will have to provide your own food but now and again, free fish will be on the menu. Having your own car would be a great help as we are in and out most days.
