We are on a 10 acre block with two dogs and two cats, a swimming pool and a spa pool (hot tub). You will need a car as we are 5 mins drive to Mangawhai village and 8 mins to the beach and there is no public transport.

Be sure to read our reviews.

We are looking for 2 people over the age of 23 who have a car, who are prepared to do 4 hours of work. We have a small amount of pine peeling to spread, gardening to do and we will probably have some gravel to spread. If you are an experienced painter our house is overdue for some TLC or can do small building projects, cutting firewood etc or just helping out where it is needed. Once you have done your work then go off and enjoy the beach, Mangawahai, relax in the caravan with a book or WIFI.

Enjoy a typical Kiwi family!

Having initiative is really important to us and helping with dishes and odd jobs is appreciated.

We always enjoy our time with our helpxers - see our reviews but our accommodation is basic so if ... more inside

We live on an orchard 12 minutes north of Kerikeri, in the Bay of Islands, growing blueberries. We would love help in the orchard now that the picking season has finished.

We ask our helpers for 4 hours work a day in exchange for accommodation and 3 meals a day. Please bring wet weather gear in case it rains. Free Wifi is also available. It is better but not essential for you to have your own car, as we live out of town with no public transport. You will have your own separate accommodation, with a kitchen, lounge, bathroom and laundry.

We offer friendly hospitality, have travelled overseas ourselves, love meeting people from other cultures and enjoy sport. We are a Christian family and do not work on Sundays, so ask that you organise your own meals that day. Murray works on the orchard, and Sue teaches English.

Next Help needed: From August 2018
Kia ora,
We are Soultribe ink, a family art business based out of Pipiwai, rural Northland, NZ.

Our family consists of Mako, an artist specialising in Tattoo, traditional Maori art including wood and stone carving and design.
Philippa, a Mum of many talents, operates a Yerba Mate Tea business from home and completes the admin side of Soultribe ink, also loves to build things, and passionate about natural health.
Ahika, our adventurous toddler.
Loki, our sweet French bull-mastiff dog who loves to cuddle and sleep in sunbeams.
We are also expecting a new addition to the family in July :)

We are fortunate to work primarily from home on a 100 acre farm where we have a tattoo and art studio along with a carving and building shed and Tea office.
From December-April we spend the majority of our time traveling New Zealand operating a mobile Tattoo and Art Studio from festivals and events across the country.

Want to experience a slice of heaven? We are lucky enough to live in one of the most beautiful spots in the world (well we think so anyway!) and we would love a bit of help.
We are a family of 4. The 7ha property, the sheep, cows, pigs, chickens and dog keep us busy but we always ensure we find the time to enjoy all that this amazing location has to offer.
We live right on the waters edge on the beautiful Taiharuru Estuary 25 minutes from Whangarei. With our own private beach at the bottom of the garden we enjoy sailing, kayaks, fishing and other water activities. The area boasts some great surf beaches and walks.
We need a bit of help with a variety of jobs including gardening, fencing, pruning, building a vegetable garden, looking after the animals, cooking and cleaning and generally just helping out. Some of the work will be hard so you will need to be physically fit and prepared to put in the effort.
Whilst you will have access to the house, the accommodation is a cabin on... more inside

I have been living in Whangarei for most of my life - love it here :-) I've just purchased a beautiful waterfront bach 15 mins from Whangarei CBD. I'm also flatting with social / active flatmates and there's lots of fun things to do nearby.

With these homes there's plenty of work to be done around - including painting, gardening, housework etc.

I'd like to meet some travellers to help out with these and happy to introduce / show around some of northland's best attractions / secrets!
Can provide sleeping quarters, food and drinks for around 4 hours work per day.. Can also potentially provide a vehicle to borrow / further allowances dependent on the level of work..

Also if anyone has any specific experience and job history as a mechanic or builder I would happily pay a good hourly wage for some work.

Would prefer to host helpers with experience or those in 20s+

In return we will provide free accommodation and meals.

I am now looking for someone to help with gardening & spring cleaning.

We overlook the beautiful Opua Harbour in the famous "Bay of Islands". We have stunning views! Check our reviews! We are situated at OKIATO - the site of the FIRST CAPITAL OF NZ. We are 10 min from the Russell township. Our home is warm & comfortable. We have broadband internet service & WIFI.

Duties while staying with us will include gardening, cleaning & general maintenance of our property. We can also make use of trades people such as electricians or plumbers from time to time.

I now have no children at home & find I am not home much at all. So I now offer 2 hours work per day for accommodation only. I do not provide food. Although if I do happen to have some time at home I may well cook for you occasionally :-). There are full kitchen facilities available. I am very flexible on working times. You can do a full day & then take several days off to explore the bay.
