Please read this first: we are now living in the small house and can only offer accommodation for one person. Patrick's health does not allow him to do much physical work, thus I would like the occasional help around the garden/property/maintenance preferably from a male helper, or possibly a strong woman, minimum age 21, non-smoking vegetarian/vegan (although we can accommodate meat, but not smoking).

We live outside of Thames, down a quiet country lane, near the Kauaeranga River with beautiful swimming spots nearby in summer.

We aren't slave drivers and recognise that you are here foremost to enjoy a holiday and explore. We would like 3 hours a day, however you can manage that to suit (more some days, less others). Length of stay is usually 1 or 2 weeks, but is negotiable. In return we offer 3 meals a day, a comfortable double bed (including sheets, pillow, duvet and heated blanket) in your own room. No TV, but Netflix in the lounge, and unlimited WiFi.

We are an arts, music and sculptor cafe/restaurant/good food shop. Situated on beautiful Flaxmill Bay we have the lot! We are open from 1st October til 30th April and are crazy busy in between so need lots of help and enthusiasm to ensure a good time is had by all. accommodation is in the house above the cafe. We ask for 4hrs work a day for 6 days a week in return for board and lodge, we close Mondays so everyone gets a day off. Work varies from garden work, renovations, help in the cafe or shop. We make all our own bread, cakes, ice cream and PIES. Specialise in glorious Coromandel seafood and have an overall organic/good food ethos.

I offer a majestic view; a basic fare of soup, fish and chips, roast chookand fajista, smoked kahawai and pizza burgers etc; with homemade beer.

In exchange I ask for 3hrs per day (9-12). You do not work on the day of your arrival or the day you leave (except to make the bed etc).

Behind my place is the mighty Coromandel Range so you can go walkies up the creek into the bush. Maybe use windsurfer boards as kayaks and just paddle around. Possibly cycle 4km to Waiomu and walk 1hr to Kauri Grove. Or just chill with the view and/or catch a fish from the beach.

TEXAS HOLDEM (free or $20) in town on Thursday night. TWILIGHT GOLF Wednesday, ($12 for 9 holes, $10 for dinner and $5 for a beer) is up to you but I go as I help on the bar.

Please Note: I have a mouse that lives in the house. You may also see the odd hedgehog, and waddling ducks sometimes appear in the lean to, scrounging for food. I have even had a possum run around the lounge and out an open window! Please don'... more inside

I am looking for one or two persons to help me on my lifestyle block here on the Coromandel Peninsula. Have room available this coming week and the weather is looking good. There is always a project or two on the go as well as work in the garden, orchard and the animals to take care of. I am ideally situated surrounded by native bush with sea views. Walking distance to beach and only minutes away from some of the best beaches in the world!

Accommodation is a cosy warm garden cottage with sea views. Comfortable for two persons with shared kitchen and bathroom. Looking for short-term help for 1 to 2 weeks.
Help needed is likely to involve a range of things including animal care, wood chopping, gardening, building. Four hours help a day can be exchanged for accommodation and food, you can help yourself to organic fruit and veges from the garden whatever is available.
Own transport is preferred, I am 17km north of Whitianga & 28 km from Coromandel town.

We live on an beautiful elevated section overlooking both sea and the bush in Kuaotunu, 30 minutes drive from Coromandel town, and 20 minutes from Whitianga. Our house was built 4 years ago but we are still developing our section. We have a small orchard and some vegetable gardens. The back of our section is a natural re-vegetation project which is a work in progress. It involves reclaiming natural bush and replanting natives to attract native bird life. Pete works from home and Lorraine is a part time nurse. We have a very friendly Dalmatian called Ilam. We prefer to host couples. Kuaotunu is a small community with a store, café and pizzeria.
We are currently looking for helpers who are have skills in painting as we require help to repaint the outside of our house. There would also be some general house and gardening jobs to do during this time. We look forward to hearing from you.
