Thought it was time i updated our profile on HelpX
Hi we are Toni and John.
We live on 10 acres 10 minutes south of Te Awmutu.
We are close to Waitomo caves, Mangitaturi mountian and 40 minutes from Hamilton.
We used to rear heaps of calves but now are trying our hand at kids(baby goats) and lambs.
We've hosted many helpX over the last few years and have thoroughly enjoyed the experience, especially the cultural exchange of ideas and ways of life.
We have a number of tasks on our block that always in need of an extra set of hands.
Splitting firewood, weeding around manuka trees that we have planted, painting the decks, helping feed animals etc.
We exchange for 3 and half hours work each day accommodation, food( rest assured im a good cook)
Internet and a beer under our 'beer tree'

I am needing help from 27th May. I need help with the children, housework and walking Alfie the dog. You would need to have experience and interest in looking after little children, like dogs and ideally have your own car. We love having people who are enthusiastic and happy and able to fit into a family easily.

We are a family living about five minutes drive from Raglan town. We have two young children, aged 4 and 10, one of whom I homeschool and a young lively dog and a lovely home close to the harbour, with just a short walk down to a gorgeous little beach. We need help with gardening, general housework and childcare. We provide a pleasant private room and mostly organic meals for 4 hours work per day.

We love Raglan, enjoy watersports and are happy to help you have a great time!

I am an artist and part time teacher. There’s always something a practical person could help with around here. Presently outside work. I’m flexible with hours of work in return for a warm room, own bathroom and garden. Also free to use the kitchen, and wifi.
Cambridge is a vibrant town set along the Waikato river near Lake Karapiro. A centre for national and international rowing, cycling and equestrian events, a good base from which to explore the Waikato region.

Couples or Females only please (sorry boys! But my partner often travels for work, so I'm home alone).

My German partner and I (a kiwi) would love to share our beautiful 1905 home, (NZ classic architecture of this time), with some willing helpers.

We are a couple in our 40s with no children and enjoy socialising. So far our guests have loved coming and staying here.

There's a little but not too much to see and do around Hamilton - Therefore we recommend a say of a week or two at most, dependent on how much time you have in NZ.

We try and have a healthily lifestyle, we have free range chicken, geese, vegi gardens, fruit.

We don't have any children at home but we do have a beautiful pet peacock for entertainment. Sorry but the horses in the photo aren't here any more. We now have two steers, sheep, lambs and birds.

Our spare room has 1 double bed, it's a very beautiful room and is next to the family bathroom. We have an additional room with two bunk beds... more inside

We have a 9 unit motel and holiday park which accommodates campervans/tents/and buses. We can offer a self contained motel room or an on site caravan, free wifi, and meals in exchange for general cleaning duties/maintenanace work and painting.Would love to have someone for a long term, but of course we welcome any proposals.Putaruru is close to "everywhere" and though not essential, having your own vehicle will allow you to enjoy so much more of what the Waikato has to offer.Rotorua,Taupo,Mt Maunganui and Waitomo caves are all within an hours driving.Locally the famous "Blue springs",Hobbitton and Waikato river walks feature and we will be able to arrange transport to some places if you do not have a vehicle. We are both maori and I think we can provide other perceptions and cultural perspectives to your visit.

Hi,
We are a family of 2 adults and 4 children (aged 5, 7, 9 and 11 years old).
I also have a small seasonal flower farm on leased land across the road from our house. At the moment I need help getting the flower farm planted and set up for winter as well as general flower farming jobs.
Other jobs if its too wet would be helping as needed with family life. We are not slave drivers but in return for all your meals, accommodation, wifi etc we would want 4 hours of work.
We have a large spare room for our helpx which would suit an individual or couple.
We enjoy meeting new people and think it is great for our children to interact with people from all cultures.
We are on the very edge of Hamilton but still walking distance to shops. We are close to the famous Hamilton Gardens and central for day trips to Hobbiton, Raglan etc.
We would love to hear from you

In exchange for two hours of weeding and tree freeing each day you get to stay in a cute tiny house in Raglan. We are 5 minutes drive from town and 15 minute drive from the surf so having a car is recommended, i can lend you a surfboard.

The work isn't glamorous but it's a unique little place. No Wifi, limited power, compost toilet, outside shower, bugs and spiderwebs, bring your headtorch and come for an adventure.

You will be given some direction but essentially left and trusted to work your own schedule.

Welcome to our jungle in the central city.
You'd be staying a few minutes walk to the city center, river, lake, museum and along the river to the Hamilton Gardens.

We are a community of 14+ people. It started as a family coming together to live communally and we have slowly grown and opened up to share with more people. All connecting into the community whatever amount is right for them.
Together we have many skills we share, Everett is a builder who built his own tiny house, Christine is passionate about healing and permaculture gardening, Penny is a mother of three and enjoys to making wine and preserves.

At the moment we have an amazing project, we are creating a second community, renovating a beautiful old 1920s villa.
So there are lots of different things we could use a hand with, from building, painting, gardening - we are happy to teach and share the journey.

Expect to be surrounded by life, bustle and children. This is a community bringing the heart to the hea... more inside
