Must like animals & be prepared to share the couch with a dog or two !! Landscaping/gardening/weeding/lawns Fencing/general renovations.
Always lots of weeding and housework to be done :)
Putorino is an hour from Napier & 2 hours from Gisborne.
Great fishing & walking tracks, no shop but a friendly cafe/hotel within walking distance.
There is a daily bus to/from Napier and Gisborne. We would be quite happy to collect/deliver from Napier, if it coincides with the weekly trip for supplies.
We do smoke & enjoy a wine or beer after a good days work :)

The home farm runs sheep, cattle and deer we also have dairy farm up the road and with pigs there is always something to do so a hand would be well received
If you are looking for a real farming experience would be a good place for you to come
Duties include things like
shifting stock
Shearing
Weighing animals
Fencing
Because we live on the doorstep of the ruahine ranges tramping and other outdoor activities are so close should insure both parties benefit from this experience

We are moving and need some help to do so.We enjoy having people to stay and would hope this experience is beneficial to all of us. There is some work on the land, mainly fencing. There is also painting and gardening to do.

Update: 12 April; Looking for non smoking helpers, preferably couples from 20th April. Plenty of farm work/ stock work. Shearing drenching, weighing sheep and cattle. Walking young hunterway pup and some house and garden work. As previous helpx people say. There is plenty of hard work, but we make sure you have a good time. Often time to go to stock sale during the week.

We are a Family of 4 and have a lifestyle property in Otane.It is a beautiful property, fully planted in trees with a creek, awesome swimming hole and very private. We relocated our large 5 bedroom villa onto the property about 4 years ago. Otane is a small village and our property is right on the edge of the village.There is a bus stop just around the corner. There is a cafe, pub and dairy close by(5 minute walk)We are wanting help with our renovations,gardening, firewood maybe some cooking and looking after he children. We are animal lovers, have sheep, chickens, cats and dogs.

Our farm is 2km to the sea with coastal views and the village 6km with a shop. Nearest service town 54kms. 8km to longest place name.
We farm sheep, cattle. Have 3 horses, 2 dogs, chooks, ducks, cats and pet goat.
Must have own transport, a sense of humor,and love animals.

We enjoy meeting people from different countries, cultures and lifestyles.
All meals are provided, home cooked and mostly home grown. Sorry we can not cater for vegetarians.

This is wonderful wine country; and Hawkes Bay is considered the fruit bowl of NZ

We live on a lifestyle block and have sheep and horses, 2 dogs and 2 cats. We have 4 grown children, including 3 daughters at university, two of whom are often home on holiday.
We are not organic but don't use sprays.
The work is flexible - 3-4 hours per day in return for accommodation and food. Work might include helping with the animals, weeding, mowing, raking leaves, gardening, picking up a wheelbarrow of horse poo each day or any other jobs. Nothing too strenuous!
We are 10km from the city, with a village (shop, pub etc) 3km along the way into town. We have bicycles available plus can offer rides into town most days.
Comfortable accommodation in our house, wireless internet, swimming pool, river across the road, close to Hawke's Bay's amazing cycle tracks. Vegetarians no problem.

We are a young couple with 3 preschool boys. We live in a newly renovated home on a large sheep and beef farm
Provided: Queen bed in own room (see photo), computer access and free Wi-Fi, mobile coverage, all meals, pick up from Hastings, Havelock North, Waipukurau, Waipawa.
Long term stay may be available to the right person.
We require help with:
- landscaping and developing new vegetable garden, animal care, a variety of farm work depending on season, gardening, childcare, firewood, planting of native trees, and much more... (4-6 hours per day, flexible)

We have a self contained flat close to the main house which has kitchen/dining/lounge area, separate bedroom with queen bed, flip-out double couch in the lounge area, and separate shower & toilet. There is Sky television, and wi fi, and a swimming pool in the summer. Immaculately clean and tidy.
SELF CATERING
Supplied are tea, coffee, sugar, s&p, flour, eggs - if the girls are being good, oil, honey, jam. So you just need stuff like meat, pasta, bread, milk, butter etc. All meals are self catering. However, if you've forgotten anything we can provide from the house. There is a washing machine available.
We are growing 170 olive trees and 65 truffle inoculated oaks/hazelnuts.
