Next space is from 21st October 2017.

We have 21 great reviews of past help x people. We can sometimes say yes to arriving tommorow.

You can come for 10 days if you want or 3 weeks just give me dates and we are fairly flexible unless i have a help x booked in. Once you have dates that space is yours.
First in first served. Some tasks include some housework, dishes, some help with girls and feeding our pet lambs(spring) april ~ we have 1 puppie for now. We usually have 1 or 2 a year.

The farm we live on has a facebook page if you want to have a look. As this page is not managed by us just dont send personal messages to that facebook page. You will find it on "glen eden ~ new zealand"

When you get to the driveway make sure you are there are 2 letter boxes. If one of them is red it is correct. and recheck the blue square number on the pole. (I think it is google maps on cellphones that takes you up the completely wrong driveway.

We also shear sheep sometimes ... more inside

One person to help around a house in central Wellington and possibly Help setting up a new business in the sustainable well-being area. Sense of fun and adventure essential and a systematic approach necessary.

This is a change from the farm business where we grow peony flowers producing approximately 23,000 flower stems each season. We also have an Olive grove and orchard. I am interested in expanding my view to encompass not only good food and nutrition but also physical, spiritual and commercial sustainability and well-being into the mix.

To those purely interested In flowers, Peony flower season commences in late October and runs through to the end of November. This farm uses low-impact and sustainable farming practices. Harvest time is always filled with fun and laughter. always working as a team to bring in the flowers and celebrate our successes.

I am looking forward to hearing from you.

Elizabeth :)

Hello, we are a sociable couple with a house in 5Ha of native bush 20 minutes drive east of the small wine village of Martinborough.

We are looking for a couple of people to help us with a renovation project we are doing on a 1860 "Villa" (a timber house from the early colonial period) in the nearby (25 minute drive) charming village of Greytown. We could use help in late September through November of this year.

The tasks we need help with include helping sorting native timber which we are recycling in the re-build, constructing a picket fence in the front, laying some brick walks, clean-up, and landscape work. We would be working right there with you. It's a half-hour drive from our place in Martinborough where you will be staying with us. Ideally you would schedule your stay with us so you could work full days and then enjoy the same amount of time relaxing at our rural house or exploring the surrounding area.

This would be ideal for a couple but this is not a requirement... more inside

Hello, we are Rachel and Dennis. We live with our daughter Connor, aged 15 and son Hunter aged 13, on a lifestyle block on the edge of Pukaha Mt Bruce, a native bird reserve, as a result we receive visits from many native birds including Kaka, Tui and Kereru to our block. Also in the area are bush walks and some fishing.
We have a variety of animals, a cat who is mostly an outside pet, a house cow with her calves, horses, a small flock of sheep, a bunch of chickens and 2 hives of bees.

We are working towards becoming a self sustaining property and as a result at times we have interesting projects on the go such as cheese making, hide curing, etc, and a philosophy that if we can buy it in the shop, surely we can make it (although sometimes not, as it turns out). We enjoy good food and people who like to cook are always welcome. Please inform of any dietary requirements.

We have many projects including building, gardening, firewood and fencing as well as general farm maintenan... more inside

We are looking for preferably 2 people to help us around the house both inside and out as well as some light on farm work. Richard will try and explain what we're doing on the farm at the time of year, give you a tour around the farm and where able involve you in some of the jobs when handling the animals. As mentioned we are 25 mins east of Masterton and only an hour and a half from Wellington. Accommodation is in with us, with a double bed (plus another mattress which can go on the floor). Please note that given we live on a farm and like to eat some of our produce, we prefer to not host vegetarians or vegan diet... more inside

Hi travellers, welcome to NZ!
I found out about helpx from travellers overseas and thought I would try it.

I live on a sheep and beef farm 35 minutes east of Masterton, 5 minutes from Riversdale beach and 25 minutes from Castlepoint beach. This is a busy period so I could use help for a few hours each day on the farm and around the house. The work would not be serious or hard, it would be about having an enjoyable NZ farming experience.

I live in a 4 bedroom house. You would have your own room or 2, food supplied, Internet, washing machine and Sky tv.
I can pick you up from Masterton.
You would be invited for about 1 week and can leave any time.

I have travelled a lot and enjoy meeting new people. I think a travelling experience is most enjoyable when a local shows you the local sites, cultures and attractions. I have had many friends, who I have met overseas, visit me and I enjoy being host and enhancing their NZ experience. And when I visit them they do the same for me.

We need help working with our horses and general jobs around our home and small farm. We have competitive endurance horses and also do dressage and jumping. We have horses, dogs, cats and chickens.

Musicians are most welcome as kitchen and jam sessions are not that uncommon in our home.

Kia ora, we have a large 100 year old villa with a big garden and an orchard. We would love you to help out with maintenance of the grounds!
