There are a great variety of jobs that need doing on our small farm and we appreciate any help that can be offered. We are happy to match skills with abilities.
We have an extension being built onto our house and with builders here for several more weeks the place will be very busy, its a little bit like camping with changes every day but all needed amenities are still available.
We have lots of things to paint both inside and outside and lots of gardening jobs that need attention.
The weather at the moment is still very good, sometimes wet but often fine during the day, so still plenty of opportunity for outside work in pleasant conditions - I am still doing outside work in a T-shirt!
Over Autumn we will be continuing with ongoing gardening projects, harvesting, preserving, and making apple cider. I am currently overrun with Autumn produce and need to preserve this as possible quickly. The chicken runs also need some attention and preparation for colder weather.

Hi we are speaking German and English at home. My husband is retired and enjoys working on his many projects inside and outside and could sometimes do with a helping hand. I am working in Wellington and will only be at home at the weekend. When I am at home I cook gluten free and can also cater for vegetarians. We are living 7 minutes from a beautiful and rugged beach. We do have a caravan available for our guests. Outside porter loo use at night but everything else will be shared with our guests (i.e. shower and bathroon) We would prefer if you prepared your own breakfast and lunch ( we provide the basics)but dinner will be prepared by us, either by Murray or on the weekend by Gesine. We have a reasonable sized garden. Our vege garden is in its 2nd year and we are still establishing shelter for our plants. We don't have any animals but would like to have help with some of the tasks such as weeding, cleaning in and outside the house. You may cook if you feel like it....

We are situated in the picturesque Pohangina Valley on a 10 acres lifestyle block. This is about 25 kms ( 20 mins) from Palmerston North. We can arrange for you to be picked up from Palmerston North if you don't have your own transport.
Our home is next to a river which is great for swimming and fishing. Great place to be in summer.
We mostly have a furry family consisting of 2 dogs (inside), 2 cats, 4 goats, pigs, 1 highland bull, his girlfriends and chickens.
There is a variety of things that we need help with, gardening, painting, firewood and general chores around the property.
We have a one bedroom cottage for you to stay in (if available) or we have plenty of room in our main house.

Available to host from 21 May again.
I live on a 30 hectare sheep and beef farm with around 7-10 horses, chicken and sometimes pigs. Single mother with 1 child (7 years old) and my man friend Norris who is involved in the farming activities a lot.
I am looking for a child and horse friendly hard working person, who is interested in helping out with various work in the house as well as outside and around the horses.
Basic horse knowledge is is a requirement simply from a pure safety aspect. I can give lessons in liberty work and natural horsemanship.
We have several young horses and 2 rehab horses which require daily attention and if you have some experience in handling young horses that is definitely beneficial but not a must!
I am studying part time at university in Wellington, which means that you will be alone quite a bit. If you are after some time for yourself and you don't mind completing tasks on your own or just hang out with the horses this might be pe...

Hi Helpers I am looking for someone with building skills to extend a free standing carport prior to winter. help with some small stone walls around garden. My truck is in desperate need of maintanance so if you have mechanical skill and know how I could rally use your help - especially with dealing with rust. I do have other odd jobs about the place such as completing some exterior painting, gardening, animal care of my petting zoo furry family.
You need to know that due to a medical condition I cannot eat whole nuts/ whole seeds or chilli - I can be very sick from such things. While vegetarians can be here be aware that I must derive protein from red meat as well as my eggs and cheese.Too much fibre can make me exceptionally ill. I eat meat from the farm/ farms of others. I cannot cater for vegans as the seeds and nuts are simply not in my cupboards. I will be considering offers around May/ June for olive tree management (pickling and pruning).
I always need help from ...

We live in a river valley just outside Palmerston North, in the Manawatu area, and we are about 15km from town. We have a large family home (which we are still building) on a small 'lifestyle' farm with sheep, cows, horses, chickens, ducks, geese, dogs, cats, pet birds & a goat. There is a lovely swimming hole just below the house and we make our own power. Our extended family & friends live near by. There are almost always farming, fencing, building, home made power, organic gardening, weeding & tree planting activities to be done...and music making. We love to paint & draw and are musical :-)
