We have space from 3rd Oct to 12th Oct... Please get in touch if you are available and would like a luxury stay.

Paradise between the sea & the hills, in sunny Te Horo on the beautiful Kapiti Coast (see photo of Kapiti Island from Te Horo Beach).

We've spent the winter building a comfortable place for you to stay (the purple cabin)... now come & help us get the rest of the property up to scratch.

We have sheep, cows, chooks, ducks & cats. Only small numbers and very easy to manage.

We grow as much food & meat as we can and enjoy a healthy outdoors life.

Come and help us with a few projects... tire walls to build, paths and steps to put in, gardens to maintain and our 50+ fruit trees to nurture.

I make bread & cheese, bake amazing scones and cakes and would like to teach you or learn from you.

We ask for five hours effort per day in return for staying at our place with good food and a warm bed. No smokers preferred.

Hope to see you soon.

PS We can collec... more inside

This is a beautiful harbour-side location, with nice room(s) and decks, and fantastic views, on the warmer eastern side of Wellington. There are native forests and birds to walk amongst. There are safe bays to swim in and a large sheltered swimming pool (in season!). If the weather is right there may be a chance to go for a sail. It feels like the country here, yet there is excellent public transport to Wellington city: its the *best* suburb Wellington has :). Possible car availability. I am renovating the house next door so any practical skills towards that would be useful. But there is a range of other tasks everything from cooking and cleaning, to gardening, house maintenance, and general helping out - matching your skills and preferences with the tasks on hand. My aim is for you to enjoy your time here, and to find that Wellington and the local area have a lot to offer and are great places to be. I aim for you to find the work you do enjoyable too. Travelling is a great way... more inside

Otaki is 1 hour north of Wellington by car on the Kapiti coast with its great beaches and bush. We live in a rural setting about 2km from the main state highway 1.

Our place is a specialist heritage rose nursery (all of our roses are grown from cuttings in planter bags and supplied by mail order all year round). We also propagate other plants from our 3 acre country garden (which is open to the public Oct to March). We have a small gift shop. We sometimes have workshops on gardening and arts/crafts in our new barn. We have a 4 acre run down pear orchard. We also have a few beef cattle and two young dogs. You would be taking meals with us in our beautiful heritage home built in the 1890s. You will be staying in a lovely warm room in our barn (which has a kitchenette) with your own shower room and toilet. The room can be configured as a twin or double room.

Work involves gardening, weeding in the nursery, and at certain times of year, helping with rose cuttings, mulching the gar... more inside

Update on 14th September.

We have a proposal for a couple who would like to Helpx in the Lower North Island. This will best suit those with their own van or car for transport.

Very good friends of ours have a holiday house in the remote location of Tora which is on the East Coast of the Wairarapa. A beautiful place by the sea. Our friend Kevin and his wife Alana (in their early 30's age group) want assistance from the 30th September until approximately the 9th October. Mainly helping outside removing some trees and tidying up. Same terms as per our profile below, 4 hours per day for full accommodation and all meals. Kevin is a really keen fisherman and the Tora Coast is great for that, weather permitting. I (Andrew) will also be there for the first few days of your stay.
After that you will be with Kevin and Alana.

After the 9th then you can travel to Paraparaumu and be hosted by Juanita and me for approximately one week from the 9th to the 17th. See our profile statemen... more inside

I am German and have lived in New Zealand for almost 20 years. My two children live here half the week (3yr and 14yr), which tends to be the more social half of the week (other half I work a lot), and we have a Kiwi dog, 6 kiwi chickens and a Kiwi guinea pig.

Only five minutes drive from Hutt city, or 20 min to Wellington by train.

We live amidst a very beautiful native bush setting with a small stream running through the property, lots of Fantail, Kererus, Tui and other native birds. Enjoy unlimited access to the bush via walking tracks which go right to the top of the hills above Wainuiomata via fire breaks, or take a quick 20-minute loop walk to work up an appetite before dinner.

Right now I am looking for someone mainly for painting, gardening work and some cleaning. Anyone with woods skills would also be very handy. If you can handle a chainsaw let me know! You must be happy to work if it's raining as most work is outdoors.

The suggested arrangement is for you... more inside

We have a natural health country retreat set in the beautiful Reikorangi valley 10 mins inland from Waikanae. The farm is cared for by David and Joy and has a herd of Angus cattle, a few other animals, a separate accommodation building, two lovely streams, and peaceful native bush. Between us we have the following interests: homeopathy, Japanese language, gardening, dancing, and building. We are happy to pick you up from Waikanae which is one hour's train from Wellington and is on the main highway route. General farm work, varies from light work to some other work like fencing and digging.

We are a German family with two lively boys (7 and 9) and a cat and need help during the school holidays in the Frst week of October 2017. We need someone who looks after our boys a bit and helps in house and garden (spring is here!).
You should be happy to stay with us for about a week or two from 28/29 September onwards.
We have a decent veggie patch and bake our own bread but we are not organic.
As wie speak German at home, we want someone who is fluent in German please!
Raumati Beach is a nice little spot about 45 minutes north of Wellington at the beautiful Kapiti Coast. The train station with two trains per hour to Wellington can be easily reached by bike or by car in less than ten minutes. Opposite the train station is a mall with the standard retailers and big supermarkets. Raumati Beach has a couple of cute little shops and cafes and (of course) a dairy.
Our house is an easy 10 minute walk from the beach. The Kapiti Coast offers many opportunities for cycling, tramping... more inside

Hi, we live in Wellington in two old, turn of the century, historic cottages (1860's) that are 200 paces above the street, private, set in the bush amongst the song of tui and kaka. It is an easy 20 minute walk into the central city.

Note: we are not a farm.

We are self-employed, busy and very hands on in all that we do. We are a couple with two adult daughters, one has recently returned home to live with us.
We offer accommodation, food and company in return for a full day's work every second day. I.e. Monday, Wednesday, Friday and every second Saturday - no work on Sundays. The accommodation is rough at the moment as we are in the middle of renovating these old cottages... if you don't expect a palace you will be fine.

We need your skills in one of these areas:
1. Building and restoring the three cottages. 2. Making fermented soft-drinks at our brewery. 3. Work in the small vegetable gardens that supply our table (not too much happens in the garden over winter). 4... more inside

Hello

I need help now. I have hurt my hand and need help with gardening, painting and other household activities that I can't do one handed.

We live 25 minutes walk to town (coming home is up hill). We have a great view of the city with an outdoor bath having the prime view position. We have two loving cats.

We look forward to hearing from you.
Thanks
Jane
