Roy and I lead a very busy life. We need help in the garden, spring-cleaning and some minor house maintenance.This year we are doing some interior painting work and would like some help with that. We have a small dog who spends a lot of her time with Roy at work.
Plimmerton is a small seaside village, 20 mins drive from Wellington city. There is a very good train service leaving every 30 minutes from the station. Trip into Wellington is 30 minutes.
Our home is a five minute walk to the beach.
Roy is a eccentric Irishman who deals in classic cars, Annie works with families affected by mental health issues.
Our home is set in a tranquil environment in bush and gardens. We get a lot of pleasure entertaining and being active in the Wellington Folk music scene and often have musical evenings at home.
We both enjoy food, wine and good company.

We are middle aged, fit couple who enjoy meeting people from around the world. It would be a bonus to have assistance of 4 hours a day as we are often busy and our lovely house and section has lots of challenges.
We live close to Wellington CBD, the Capital of New Zealand. There is good transport. We live 10 minutes by road to the Wellington railway station and the Cook Strait Ferry to/from the South Island (Interislander). [We will try and pick up helpers.] We live in the suburb of Johnsonville which is 20 minutes by rail (on a scenic line) to the city. Johnsonville has its own shopping centre.
We can host one person or a couple, in a double bed.
Our section has over 200 trees and shrubs with nice lawns. It is a half acre, or 0.2 hectors. There are always tasks to do depending on one's skills, gardening, weeding, cutting hedges, mulching, washing the house or cars, windows, home maintenan...

We live on the hills alongside the Hutt Valley near Wellington. We have pleasant gardens in need of work, and we would also like some help to springclean. If you enjoy cooking, we are always interested to try something new.

Current project is a small caravan that needs to paint stripped, water blasted and polished. Needs to be retired interior and exterior, so an electrician would be good, and also to lay a takin are wood floor.

We run a retreat/ lodge (sleeping up to 40 people) that provides accommodation for a number of different retreats, groups, camps and workshops. We are located 10 minutes out of Otaki township on the Kapiti Coast (and 1 hours drive from wellington). There are trains from wellington to the nearest station and we can pick you up from there.
We are currently developing organic/ permaculture gardens, compost toilets and upgrading the facilities. Help is needed for general gardening, maintenance, cleaning, building, and we are also open to people coming and putting their ideas into fruition. Building/ carpentry skills would be ideal!!! Good wholesome food, (and laughter) is abundant in our household and we welcome those interested in sharing in this.
Our property runs along the Otaki River with bushwalks, a waterfall and native birds everywhere. You will need to like dogs too as we have two that are very friendly. We are close to some of the most beautiful walks in the Tararua Ran...

Ross and I have 3 boys, 17,14 and 11. We all love to travel as we love our OE (overseas experience). Now we are in need of an extra pair of hands for cleaning. We live in a lovely area, near the beach. This is an hour north of Wellington and there is a train just 4 klm away that goes there regularly. Over the garage is an apartment which is where our visitors or helpx visitors can stay so you have plenty of room to yourself - even a gym and sauna. Also, in the last photo,you can see the artifical turf we have built for our boys to practice their football skills. We are not the greatest of cooks so we often eat Subway for lunch,if you enjoy that, you can join in with us. Otaki is 1 hour north of Wellington by car on the Kapiti coast with its great beaches and bush. We live in a rural setting about 2km from the main state highway 1.
Our place is a specialist heritage rose nursery (all of our roses are grown from cuttings in planter bags and supplied by mail order all year round). We also propagate other plants from our 3 acre country garden (which is open to the public). We have a small gift shop and sell pottery and garden art. We also have workshops on gardening and arts/crafts in our new barn. We have a 4 acre run down pear orchard. We also have a few beef cattle, 6 chickens, 3 bantams, 6 ducks plus ducklings and chicks and a small dog. You would be sharing our beautiful heritage home built in the 1890s. Most of the house has been renovated - just the study to go.

Just a brief message to the 2 friendly helpers who contacted me on my cell phone approximately 5 days ago.I have lost my phone a few days ago so wont be able to reply.
We have had a variety of wonderful helpers stay with us over the past 4 month assisting us with the total transformation of our place.We are currently taking a well deserved break but will be looking for one or two helpers in June approximately for one week.
we are a family of 2 at the moment and live 20 min away from Wellington.
Our place is 20 min by car from the Interisland Ferry terminal and 30 min from Wellington airport. .
Skills required are varied and I feel most people would be reasonably good at them .
I have been in the process of renovating our home over the past 2 years so some in and out door painting skills would come in handy too.
