Our property one hour north of Wellington is a self sufficient mix of fruit trees, herbs and vegetables with a few sheep, chooks and ducks. It is set in a stand of ancient native trees on the rich Hautere Plain at Te Horo near Otaki. Our main crops include apricots, feijoas, kiwifruit and olives. We prefer helpers with some horticultural experience. We enjoy sharing our attractive property with visitors and offer good private accommodation for a couple or single person.

A small farmlet close to the Tararua Ranges. Currently running a horse,2 cows, sheep, hens and ducks. Various projects on the go and help would be useful for helping with our horse, building chicken enclosure, pruning and autumn clean up around the place, also general house work or childcare (so we can do some of the jobs too!).
A family with 3 young children. Can offer very basic accommodation in hut on the property (see first photo below) with shared use of bathroom facilities and all meals. Non smokers only please.

Our property runs along a river and a DOC walking track. We have wifi broadband internet. Ideally you should have your own transport although pick ups from Paraparumu or Waikanae train stations can be arranged. Otherwise we are a half hour bike ride to Waikanae train station and town. We have a bicycle you can use.

Hello - we have a private residential property with rooms to share. We are currently undergoing a painting project as well as some landscaping.

From 13 September we will be building a new deck and landscaping with old railway sleepers. So if you are happy to be a hammer hand and can work 4 to 6 hours per day - we can offer full board.

Alternatively, we can offer a bed only for 2 hours work to cover each night you stay with us - that means you supply all your own food. You can work as many hours as is suitable each day to build up "credit". This will depend on the type of work you are doing and possibly the weather. It means you can then have free days to explore our beautiful city & surrounding area.

With our recent Helpers we have each taken turns to provide the food and prepare the evening meal that we share. This way no extra hours are required. We are flexible with arrangements & want to ensure it is a Win/Win for everyone.

We are 10mins from the city by car... more inside

At the moment, we're building a shed/workshop and would love helpers with building experience to contact us. The work is mainly interior walls, plastering and painting as well as fencing.

Accommodation is a self-contained cottage with one queen bed. It's 3 minutes by car from Otaki and an hour from the centre of Wellington.

Three bedroom 1960's house on 1/4 acre in Wainuiomata. Out of town, public transport links (50-60 mins to CBD, or 25-30 mins if you are driving off peak), quiet, rural environment with one small dog, one cat and a large garden running down the hill. Two spare bedrooms, one double, one single with linen, furniture.
I mainly need help with gardening, I have a lot of weeding, landscaping, and gardening to do to make my land feel happy, and working during the week it is hard to manage to get it all done! As well if you have the skills to prepare and paint the outside and/or inside of the house, that would be fantastic! You could work for two hours a day and self cater, or four hours a day and be fed and watered :-)
Happy to discuss duration of stay, anything from a couple of days up to a couple of weeks is possible.
