I live on a 7+ acre lifestyle block, 25 mins from Auckland central. I have an organic vege garden and orchards, hens and 2 small friendly, white dogs, plus 2 gorgeous alpacas.
Most work for helpx'ers is maintaining the gardens and doing odd jobs.
****** My present request is for a guy to help me catch up with odd jobs, plus some prep work and painting etc.
My rural property is close to many beautiful beaches, shops and attractions etc.
Work is approx 5 hours per day and rewarded with healthy, tasty meals and a comfortable bed.
I really enjoy meeting new people and have hosted for about 20yrs. Come and spend some memorable days in my happy home.

We have a 26 H small farm 7 minutes drive from Silverdale which is approx 30 minutes north of Auckland. We graze beef cattle and sheep. The sheep are breed for handcraft wool comprising 2 breeds Polwarth and Romney.
My husband is retired and works on the farm, I am a part time primary school teacher at a local school. One of our sons lives at home and constructs wood-fired ovens on the farm.We have space for 1 or 2 persons and would love to have guests to stay in return for some help around the farm. The outside work could comprise tree planting, farm maintenance, gardening, weed control and building maintenance. If necessary because of the weather there are some inside jobs-- seedling transplanting, house cleaning etc. We are an easy going family We prefer people who eat most things, as we find having to cater for vegetarians etc to be disruptive to grocery/meal planning. We would treat you as part of the family and not as unpaid labour

UPDATE: We are currently looking for helpers (either one or 2 people) from around 26 May. We will need helpers who are happy dealing with horses (bringing them in, changing covers, grooming, feeding, tacking up etc) as well as helping around the house and garden. If you are a proficient rider, you may be able to ride.

It would be great if you had your own transport as the nearest shops (and bus stop)are 3km away (although we do have bikes if you are keen).

We have a lovely 11 acre block, close to Kumeu, 30 mins drive to Auckland City, and 15 mins drive to the beautiful Muriwai Beach. We have 3 horses (one retired), 2 cats and 3 dogs (boxers) as well as some sheep, chickens, and a couple of peacocks. Ideally we looking for one or 2 people to help out with the garden (weeding/mowing/general maintenance etc) and with the animals in return for food and accommodation. Broadly speaking, we ask for around 4 hours "work" a day, 5 days a week. We are flexible about when the hours... more inside

Overlooking the sea, with access to a beach, suitable for summer swims or winter walks. Surrounded by several walking tracks and a short walk to Scotts Landing with its historical homestead, and lovely beach. A car will be helpful in order to explore the many and varied attractions the area has to offer, beaches, marine centre, sculpturama, cafes etc etc.
I have a small area of native bush on my acre of land & need assistance to restore bush, by removing noxious weeds and possible doing some regenerative planting, or other tasks, depending on weather. Approximately 4 hours help per day,in exchange for meals and accommodation.

I am retired lady who leads an active lifestyle, between here & Auckland. I enjoy sharing my home with others, enhancing their travel experiences, and providing a comfortable home away from home. We live an hour north of Auckland in an attractive area with plenty of great (surf)beaches and weekend markets and happenings nearby (at least during summer). For example, the popular Matakana farmers and vintage market, Goat Island marine reserve, Tawharanui Regional Park and great restaurants, cafés and Leigh Sawmill cafe for gigs. All this and much more within a short drive from our house.

We offer a recently renovated bedroom with a comfortable queen size bed and own bathroom and three meals a day. We also got wifi so you can stay connected.

In exchange we expect about 4 hours of work per night of stay and would like someone with a can-do attitude and some DIY skills to help us with some gardening work and some house renovations. At the moment we would need someone to do some house painting/ and or gar... more inside
