We are a kiwi farming family with the 5th generation just arrived. Our farm consists of sheep, beef, cropping and a small amount of forestry.

I have wwoofed in the USA and now that I have returned home, I get to host! There is not a definite set of skills that we are looking for, we will make use of your skills, whatever they are.
We will however need help from some with arborist/forestry skills from September 2015 on to help prune/tidy up some old oak trees.

If you like the outdoors, have an interest in farming, appreciate nature, enjoy photography, like to eat healthy, enjoy socialising then this is a fantastic place to visit! We are all about working hard and playing harder!
We are into our snow skiing during winter and all types of boating and waterskiing during the summer and you will a always be welcome to come along.
We are a creative/artistic family (photography, all types of painting) I design and craft my own furnature.

Hello, we have a 'boutique' dairy farm on the edge of Oxford, North Canterbury, where we sell fresh, real milk through our Village Milk vending machine. We milk around 20 cows year round and this has been a very popular addition to our farm. Our eldest daughter has enjoyed doing Help Exchanges overseas so we would love to give someone the same opportunity!

We have a few big jobs on at the moment that we would like some help with including altering a shed, and clearing yard areas. We also have ongoing jobs such as feeding out, weed spraying, gardening, tidying and household chores so depending on the day there will be some variety.

We would like one person aged 20 and over who has reasonable English and has had a little bit of experience on a farm already so they are ready to jump in to help with anything. Hours/days of work are flexible but we would expect around 4-5 hours a day, depending on the jobs and weather. Maximum 7 day stay.

You will have your own private room, wi... more inside

Nestled in the beautiful Southern Alps is the historic settlement of Cass (approx half way between Christchurch and Greymouth). I am offering private accommodation (separate from the house with own bathroom)in exchange for odd jobs - painting, gardening and lawn mowing.
I also have a horse drawn wagon seen in the photo's which is needing a keen horseperson to drive and keep working.
There is plenty to do in the area including fishing on many of the nearby high country lakes (1.6 km to Lake Sarah) day walks/ tramping in Arthurs Pass National Park and Craigieburn forest Park, skiing on one of the 5 local ski fields, four wheel driving, Scree jumping (down Sugar Loaf). A short drive to Cave stream scenic reserve (one of the south Islands best free activities) and Castle Hill natural rock climbing park (where scenes from Lord of the Rings and Narnia were filmed). Other nearby facilities are The Bealy Hotel (10mins) and Arthurs Pass 20mins. In exchange I would like four hours work... more inside

We are needing helpers from August onwards :-)
We are so lucky to live on a 10 acre life style block situated in North Canterbury . We have horses which are used primarily for dressage, show jumping and eventing. We also have a lovely property with a large easy care garden!
It would be great to have some help in the garden, general weeding and spraying, but mainly we need help exercising and caring for the horses. So we would love to hear from helpers that are experienced horse people! Especially those that have riding experience in dressage, show jumping and or eventing!! We would love it if you are able to ride without supervision! Our horses are competition horses!!,this means that we cannot have helpers that are beginner riders or inexperienced riders!!
We are looking for help from August onwards!!
We have 4 children, all are school age.
We are non smokers!!
during the winter we love to ski!!
We have lovely Warm and clean Acomadation for two people that is separate fr... more inside

WHO WE ARE:

Ellis and Sanna are a very fun loving, easygoing couple. We believe in living life to the fullest and love to meet new people from different countries and experience their culture. Between us we have travelled extensively and know what it is like to be in a new country far away from home.

Sanna and Michelle (our daughter 20) are from Finland, Ellis from New Zealand. Simba & Ziggy the cats & Sasha the dog.

Over the past 10 years we have built our own magnificent home, situated on top of a small hill overlooking the distant Inland Kaikoura Mountains. Our house is a 3 story, rustic dwelling with loads of character and Kiwi ingenuity. We have two massive trees up through the center of the house. The back bone structure is made up of huge hand milled beams with a natural timber ceiling. We also have built the biggest rock fire place you probably will see in NZ, which is great to sit around in the evenings.

We are both into health and fitness. Sanna is a person... more inside

We run an "Alternative Lifestyle" Bed & Breakfast and adult event venue, in rural North Canterbury. We have large gardens (fruit, berries, vegetables and leisure) and extensive tree hedges that take more time than we ourselves have for upkeep, so we're looking particularly for help with the outdoors. We use our gardens to feed guests the freshest possible food.

Our place is unusual, not for the prudish, but we do have a lot of fun!

We'd recommend you take a look at our website before you contact us, so you get a better idea of what we are about.

4ha lifestyle block with 8yr old planting of natives and organic vege garden. You would need to be a non-smoker.
Vegetarian, bilingual household (german and english) comprising of 1 female adult, 4 horses, 2 dogs and 3 cats. 7km from Oxford township, 62 km from Christchurch. Close to scenic walking tracks (Mt. Oxford). Wonderful views and great riding country. In the past most helpers arrived and did not want to go anywhere for weeks.
Own transport needed if you want to get around - however regular lift into Christchurch and Rangiora possible.
I live a busy lifestyle and would like someone who would fit as part of our family of humans and animals. Due to currently working long hours on 2 days of the week you will need to be able to cope with lots of time on your own - doing your own cooking on those days.
You would need to be female and possess maturity - don't contact if you haven't been long away from mum's caretaking. Can only cater for 1 person at a time.
I prefer peo... more inside

We are a family that have a 10 acre lifestyle block 35 minutes north of Christchurch. We endeavor to have a self sufficient lifestyle with lots of organic vege gardens, orchards, chooks, goats, 3 horses and working dogs etc.

Our property is located in peaceful private surroundings, only a 5 minute drive to the nearest township.

We have a small N.Z Native Tree Nursery, our plants are grown from locally sourced seed and are in various stages of growth that we are needing help with potting on.
We're also in need of help with some carpentry work in a wee rustic cottage we are restoring.

We are flexible with when you work and stop for breaks. If you wanted to do more hours one day and less the next that is o.k. We expect about 4-5 hours help a day depending on the work you are asked to do (less for more physical work, more for easier work etc) and in return we enjoy creating an enjoyable experience for our helpers.

Our 4 children ages 13, 12, 10 and 1 are keen horse riders a... more inside
