We would love someone for up to a week or two people for 4 days from sometime after the 2nd of December. We are a small deer and cattle farm with country homestay type accommodation available. We have odd jobs at the moment, weeding, grubbing thistles, picking up the calf shed shavings to put on the garden, planting native trees, helping with guests as well as contributing to the household chores.
Are you friendly, responsible, strong and flexible?
We have a pet pig Missy and a friendly lamb and lots of cats also.
In exchange for 4-5 hours work a day, we supply all meals, we have a warm upstairs bedroom for you (with electric blanket), a shared bathroom with spa bath, internet, fireplace, a mountain bike (Cust village is 3 km away). Arthurs Pass and Hanmer Springs are both only a few hours away. Rangiora and Oxford towns are close by and Christchurch airport only 35 minutes away.

We are a non smoking family, living on a 20 acre lifestyle block only 6 minutes from Rangiora township. We have 3 small children, 7,5 and 3 years old. We have 2 Jack Russell dogs. We have a handful of cattle and sheep. We are looking for a person or a couple who can help us in our garden, and on our property. The work involved would be garden maintenance, redevelopment, putting sleepers into the garden, mowing lawns, spraying, weeding, tree pruning and maintenance, cleaning windows and odd jobs around the home. We would like someone who would be happy to do the odd babysitting stint if we decided to go out. We love the outdoors and live in a lovely setting with farms all around us. We have a loft in our home for helpers to use. As our home is a busy one with small children, and lots to do, we wish anyone staying with us can help out with meal times, (by the way, we eat a lot of meat), washing up and the odd jobs around the home. We have Wifi and SKY TV. We love meeting new peo... more inside

Hi there thank you for checking out our profile, we are a family of 3 with my two lovely girls being 11 and 13 years old.,
We live 15 min from Rangiora on the banks of the Okuku River and under Mt Thomas. On our small farm live 11 horses and ponies, sheep, two donkeys + baby donk "Archie", two dogs and two cats. We live a really busy life with a sign at the door saying "welcome to the madhouse", as I'm working as a midwife locally and my kids are busy at school etc We warn you we are totally crazy on ponies and horses. That's why we always appreciate a helping hand as our life is full on and the job list glares at me to catch up!.
Work will include poop picking , riding, gardening, housework and some general farm work. Depending on your skills and size we can usually sort out an appropriate pony or horse for you to ride (with supervision if needed). Lots to do around the farm, more than we could ever do on our own!

It would be great if you can use a chainsaw to help get the wood in for winter but there are other chores to do too.

Inside our house we have started some demolition as we are renovating our house. There are a few little like jobs finishing of the chicken sheds and garden areas. Also lots of landscaping as we have just had a new pool built due to the earthquake damage to the old one.

Jimmy, my old horse needs some work so if you like to ride that is a possibility.

We try to match our helpers to the job they like and know best..there is a big choice!

We like our helpers to be easy going and flexible. Some days you will be left to work independently other time with us. Work is usually
about 4 -5 hours a day depending on the job but if you are flexible hours can be accumulated so you can have full days off to go exploring.

There is no public transport but we may be able to help by taking you p... more inside

Nestled in the beautiful Southern Alps is the historic settlement of Cass (approx half way between Christchurch and Greymouth). I am offering private accommodation (separate from the house with own bathroom)in exchange for odd jobs - painting, gardening and lawn mowing.
I also have a horse drawn wagon seen in the photo's which is needing a keen horseperson to drive and keep working.
There is plenty to do in the area including fishing on many of the nearby high country lakes (1.6 km to Lake Sarah) day walks/ tramping in Arthurs Pass National Park and Craigieburn forest Park, skiing on one of the 5 local ski fields, four wheel driving, Scree jumping (down Sugar Loaf). A short drive to Cave stream scenic reserve (one of the south Islands best free activities) and Castle Hill natural rock climbing park (where scenes from Lord of the Rings and Narnia were filmed). Other nearby facilities are The Bealy Hotel (10mins) and Arthurs Pass 20mins. In exchange I would like four hours work... more inside

We live on a small block just north of Christchurch with our son Noah, daughter Louisa, Beagle and Labrador dogs, cats, and sheep.

Clarkville is less than 20 minutes from Christchurch airport and we can pick up and drop back there if required. We are able to host females or couples only.

We are in our late 30's and would enjoy having people of a similar age to stay. We like to interact with our helpers and learn about you and your culture/country. You must have initiative and be able to work unsupervised, but we are happy to write lists of things to do. Cleaning up after yourselves and helping with meals is part of the deal. Helpers must have host references.

We are looking for some help with various odd jobs around the place like:
gardening
weeding
lawn mowing
fencing
gathering/cutting firewood
Irrigation and ditch digging
Dog walking
Pruning
Babysitting

We have bikes and helmets available and there is a lovely reserve with a stream nearby which is ... more inside
