4ha lifestyle block with 8yr old planting of natives and organic vege garden. You would need to be a non-smoker.
Vegetarian, bilingual household (german and english) comprising of 1 female adult, 4 horses, 2 dogs and 3 cats. 7km from Oxford township, 62 km from Christchurch. Close to scenic walking tracks (Mt. Oxford). Wonderful views and great riding country. In the past most helpers arrived and did not want to go anywhere for weeks.
Own transport needed if you want to get around - however regular lift into Christchurch and Rangiora possible.
I live a busy lifestyle and would like someone who would fit as part of our family of humans and animals. Due to currently working long hours on 2 days of the week you will need to be able to cope with lots of time on your own - doing your own cooking on those days.
I prefer people who are motivated - with a positive, cheerful and relaxed attitude, able to work unsupervised, have initiative (ie picking up jobs when seeing they need to ... more inside

Nestled in the beautiful Southern Alps is the historic settlement of Cass (approx half way between Christchurch and Greymouth). I am offering private accommodation (separate from the house with own bathroom)in exchange for odd jobs - painting, gardening and lawn mowing.
I also have a horse drawn wagon seen in the photo's which is needing a keen horseperson to drive and keep working.
There is plenty to do in the area including fishing on many of the nearby high country lakes (1.6 km to Lake Sarah) day walks/ tramping in Arthurs Pass National Park and Craigieburn forest Park, skiing on one of the 5 local ski fields, four wheel driving, Scree jumping (down Sugar Loaf). A short drive to Cave stream scenic reserve (one of the south Islands best free activities) and Castle Hill natural rock climbing park (where scenes from Lord of the Rings and Narnia were filmed). Other nearby facilities are The Bealy Hotel (10mins) and Arthurs Pass 20mins. In exchange I would like four hours work... more inside

Hi, We now have 4 white female Alpacas, and are meant to be also grazing two pregnant ones for our relations soon, so that will be interesting. Our place is very nice with lot's of trees around it, and also on it. I hurt my shoulder badly over five Months ago, so need a hand more than ever now, as I can still not do much, but a bit more than I could. I have some painting jobs that I could do with some help with. Also clearing up trees we topped, ie, cutting them up for firewood, and carting the branches away to be burnt. I am also repairing an old shed which has a history. Would prefer a female if possible as there is some house hold duties that I could do with a hand with, as my wife works long hours. Also garden work as we have lot's of garden. The main reason I am wanting to be a host is that I enjoy meeting people from overseas. My place is only a half an hours drive from the Mountains and rivers are close by. It's about a half an hours drive to the edge of Christchurch. The... more inside

We live on a small block just north of Christchurch with our son Noah, daughter Louisa, Beagle and Labrador dogs, cats, and sheep.

Clarkville is less than 20 minutes from Christchurch airport and we can pick up and drop back there if required. We are able to host females or couples only.

We are in our mid 30's and would enjoy having people of a similar age to stay. We like to interact with our helpers and learn about you and your culture/country. You must have initiative and be able to work unsupervised, but we are happy to write lists of things to do. Cleaning up after yourselves and helping with meals is part of the deal. Helpers must have host references.

We are looking for some help with various odd jobs around the place like:
gardening
weeding
lawn mowing
fencing
gathering/cutting firewood
Irrigation and ditch digging
Dog walking
Pruning
Babysitting

We have push bikes and helmets available and there is a lovely reserve with a stream nearby which... more inside
