We have a handful of cattle and sheep. We are looking for a person or a couple who can help us in our garden, and on our property. The work involved would be garden maintenance, redevelopment, putting sleepers into the garden, mowing lawns, spraying, weeding, tree pruning and maintenance, cleaning windows and odd jobs around the home. We would like someone or a couple who would be happy to do the odd babysitting stint if we decided to go out. We love the outdoors and live in a lovely setting with farms all around us. We have a loft in our home for helpers to use. As our home is a busy one with small children, and lots to do, we wish anyone staying with us can help out with meal times, (by the way, we eat a lot of meat), washing up and the odd jobs around the home. We have Wifi and SKY TV. We love meet... more inside

LOOKING FROM END OF JANUARY PREFER SOLO PERSON. WOULD CONSIDER A COUPLE FOR A SHORT STAY.

We are a busy Family of 5. Parents in 30s and 3 boys 8, 6, 4 years old. We live 10min out of Rangiora but go there a few times a week and 30 min from Christchurch.

My Husband is a shift worker and I work from home so it is always very busy, so one of our main criteria is that you have great initiative and will be able to complete the required hours from a list, after being shown what to do if necessary. We are looking for a helper to do mainly housework, cooking and childcare but there are also never ending general chores around our property including lawn mowing, painting and gardening (the work is not hard just things we run out of time for). We also have cattle, calves, sheep, lambs and a cat.
An extra pair of hands is always appreciated!!

In exchange for 3 hours honest work per day you will get a room in our house with a double bed and ensuite and one main meal per day (normal... more inside

Our home is a lovely old farm homestead with extensive gardens and is attached to a dairy farm. We are 3.5km from the nearest service station and 8km from the small town of
Darfield which can supply almost anything you would need. We do have a bicycle you can borrow for local trips. We have 2 spare bedrooms as our older children are off at university. Our youngest is in a wheelchair and has special needs. We have both travelled in the past and enjoy having guests.

Darfield is a great location with mountains as a backdrop, situated between the Rakaia and Waimakariri Rivers. Canterbury / Selwyn district has a variety of activities to take advantage of including tramping, skiing, jetboating, ballooning, fishing...
