We live right on the door step of Mount Oxford National Park, Coopers Creek is a 1 minutes walk for cooling off in the summer, or freezing in the winter.
Great for day walks and other adventures.
Please have an informative profile and some pictures.... we are flexible how you do the work, but typically we like about 4-5 hours per day stayed, and help with 'our' meals. Jeweller and lampworker( glass blower with a torch)in Akaroa ( beautiful french village in the middle of the peninsula. I'm a 30 years old women, i spend most of the week alone as my partner is just here for the week end; so it would be great for me a bit of company from time to time and help with my work. I create silver and glass jewellery, so i would need someone helping me 4 to 5 hours a day, monday to friday or saturday ( on my silver creations, but i would be also very keen on having someone with a good camera taking pictures of my work).Someone with experience into jewelery making would be just awsome, but do not hesitate to contact me even if you'r a real beginner ...However, i would appreciate if helpers coming are interested in jewellery or creation.Mainly it would be for 1 or 2 weeks(depending on my schedule). In exchange i would provide food(3 meals a day) and accomodation ( spare room with double bed).I would like someone who speaks good english. I live in a small b...

We have a small vineyard, growing grapes to make wine in our small winery onsite. Our family consists of Andrew (dad) and Stephanie(mum) plus our 3 active children. We are a busy household with lots of activities going on all year round. Our property is approx 50 mins drive North of Christchurch and 90 minutes South of Kaikoura. We are only 40 mins from the Hanmer Springs Thermal Resort town and 15 minutes from the beach and we are in the heart of the beautiful Waipara Valley Wine region. The little village of Waipara has a pub, a cafe, a garage and a small organic shop and post office. Amberley, our nearest town has a bank and small selection of shops and restaurants and is only 10 minutes drive. Our guest accomodation is a cosy sleep-out with a queen bed and a toilet semi-attached. We are looking for help with clean-ups in the garden, olive picking, housekeeping, cleaning type jobs plus a little wine labelling for those colder days! For approx 4 hours work per day we ca...

I am a semi retired chiropractor with a large house and garden 325 metres above the Southern Bays on Banks peninsula, near Christchurch. There is a separate sleep out and bathroom,so one has plenty of privacy, and the work is simply helping to keep the house and grounds maintained. It is isolated and beautiful. One is expected to put in 4 hours work for room and board, but am willing to negotiate the other 4 hours.Total flexibility I have been told by helpers that my description was rather terse,so am now trying to be more expansive.I have lived and was educated in both Europe and the States, but am now a happy and proud Kiwi.If you have other questions,or are interested in staying while in the Christchurch area, please let me know, and we will work something out.Peace.

Fancy waking up to a lovely sea view? We live in a beautiful spot, 10 mins drive from Akaroa, close to Duvauchelle and just over an hour from Christchurch. We can offer lovely accommodation separate to our house to one or two people willing to lend a hand with general spring clean/ gardening duties. 4 and a half hours (hard) work in exchange for accommodation and (good!) food. Stays of a few nights or a week are more suitable for us than long term helpers. We can pick up from the Akaroa Shuttle and sometimes Christchurch. We have 4 kids (12 -18) and some ducks, chooks and a couple of pigs as well as a few beehives but really want some help with getting the garden in shape (garden is an overstatement!) and general spring cleaning. We would also like help making raised garden beds. The work can be quite physical.
Akaroa is a picturesque small tourist town best known for swimming with Dolphins tours and Banks Peninsula is a beautiful unspoilt area with lovely walks and beaches. ...

Our home is a lovely old farm homestead with extensive gardens and is attached to a dairy farm. We are 3.5km from the nearest service station and 8km from the small town of Darfield which can supply almost anything you would need. We do have a bicycle you can borrow for local trips. We have 2 spare bedrooms as our older children are off at university. Our youngest is in a wheelchair and has special needs. We have both travelled in the past and enjoy having guests.
Darfield is a great location with mountains as a backdrop, situated between the Rakaia and Waimakariri Rivers. Canterbury / Selwyn district has a variety of activities to take advantage of including tramping, skiing, jetboating, ballooning, fishing... We live approx 25 minutes from Christchurch, a couple and 20 yr old son. We have llamas, chooks, dogs (west highland white terriers) and cats. We have planted 1500 Feijoa plants. We have a live in situation (own room with shared bathroom) with meals provided for exchange of 4 hours work per day. Whole days off are not a problem for exploring the countryside.
We currently require someone who can help with picking feijoas, gardening and general work around the farm. As we have a variety of animals we require someone who has a love for animals as we do.

Thank you to all the wwoofers who helped us in the last season, we don't need any help until next season say September. We are a semi retired Dutch couple with a hydroponic tomato growing farm. We use natural pest control and don't use sprays in the tunnelhouses. Outside we grown organic veges for local farmers market. We have chickens, turkeys,, 2 goats and bees. Accommodation is a cozy sleepout with a double bed. mostly vegetarian meals. The town centre of Rangiora is within 3km and bushwalks, fishing and beach are also close. Christchurch is 30km away.
If you prefer accommodation only, we have a cheap backpackers accommodation (sleepout) that you can rent for $25 per person a night. Minimum of 2 nights stay. 7 day special only $250 for 2 people. For 1 person $160 per week. Very clean and tidy. The sleepout is a "stand alone" and comfortable, plus self contained. It is one room with a double bed, a dining table, TV, a benchtop with a sink, and pots and pans and cutlery, ...

::::::: SORRY NO VACANCIES UNTIL SEPTEMBER. (see below). :::::::::
This is a Perendale stud sheep property situated on a very picturesque Banks Peninsula hill-country property overlooking Akaroa Harbour. We farm 600 ewes, and depending on the season either 800 lambs or 250 ram and ewe hoggets. All sheep are fully recorded for genetic selection and the business of ram selling.
We are a married couple in the mid 60's and late 50's age group, assisted by two wonderful sheep dogs, Flash and Sledge. We also have a most beautiful cat called Spicy who doesn't assist anyone.
Jeanette has a business organising self-drive tours of New Zealand for international visitors. She speaks French quite well and will love to continue her improvement in this language.
Our home is relatively new with landscaping and garden development an ongoing project. Its a non-smokers house.
Our guest will live in, with their own bedroom and ensuite. You will share all meals with us.
