We are a Christian homeschooling family, who run a shop in the small town of Twizel in the beautiful Mackenzie Country.

Life is very full with running the household, land & business, plus we are quite involved in our community.

Our kids at home are now 12yo, 15yo and 17yo. We also have a 19yo who flats locally (so we see quite a lot of him) & a 21yo who has just finished university and is home for his final summer holidays. And we have quite a few visitors coming and going, so we are a busy household!

We have room for one or two Helpxers. You will have your own room in the house. We have broadband internet & WiFi.

We have an adorable labrador dog, a guinea pig & a budgie. We have a developing vege garden and enjoy many flowers in pots and baskets :-)

We need someone who loves cooking and would enjoy making the evening meal for us (and definitely not a vegetarian please!) and can do light household duties to help us run the home and keep it tidy (something we really st... more inside

Our family lives on a lifestyle property in beautiful Pleasant Valley (just 10kms mountain side of Geraldine). We homeschool our children, with just the younger two boys still at home - aged 15 and 16

Our property sits in the view of the Four Peaks Mountains, and has trees, creeks, and a spring-fed, home-made swimming pool. We graze sheep on our 12 acre property. We have two home orchards, raspberries as well as a large veggie garden.

We eat largely non- processed wholefoods homecooked meals, fresh veges and fruit. We make our own yoghurt from raw milk and make our own bread.

We also have our own natural swimming pool and camping ground. So you would be welcome to swim or if you like tenting - we have tents or a bus in the camping ground.

We would currently love some help to tidy this up for our New Year Camp.... weed eating, digging thistles, cleaning out the pond.

ARE YOU A CARPENTER or BUILDER?? Would love some help to finish the studio - paint the roof, buil... more inside

Hi, Our property is located just out of the small town of Geraldine. We have been here a couple of years. With a collection of animals to attend to - sheep, lambs, chickens, bees, a cow with 2 calves and fallow deer - there is always something to be done around here. We have about 3 acres of woodlot, a small stream and pond and a small orchard.

Our property is totally off grid with only solar power and rain water. This means if you like to shower a lot then our place might not be for you :-) We will eventually build our own strawbale house on site - our architect is currently working on the plans and we will look to start building next year. In the meantime we are living in a very small shed/garage with our kids. We have a sleepout on site which has a queen size bed to offer. We don't have wifi here but the local library does have free wifi to use (about 10 min drive away). The sleepout has limited solar power to run some LED lights and if its sunny enough to charge phones/table... more inside

We are wanting help around the house and in the garden. Also if you are able to help out with the children that would be great.
You have your own private bedroom and great meals provided.
We live on a 211 ha farm with three children ages 11 and twins that are 10. We lease our farm out but still have a few of our own animals. If you like gardening and children then this is the place for you. My husband works in Timaru (30 minutes away) and I also do some part time work. The main roles would be doing some gardening & landscaping work and general jobs. Come and meet our pet sheep called Richie and other pets. We have a pony that the kids ride called Manny. We are on route from Christchurch to Wanaka and Queenstown. We are only 40 min from Lake Tekapo. We are happy to pick you up from either Fairlie or Timaru. As a family we enjoy boating on the lakes, the local ski fields, mountain biking and hiking. We are looking for someone to help out with some general jobs. If you have... more inside

We farm 820 hectares in Mid Canterbury which include growing crops (grass, wheat, linseed, brassicas, peas, red beet, hemp etc) along with having sheep, bulls and graze dairy heifers just outside of Ashburton, approx. 1.20 hours south of Christchurch.

While our farm is spread over two properties (one with approx. 2km of coastline), we live 9kms off the main road (happy to pick up from Ashburton Information Centre). While our house (in which your accommodation is in) is 6 years old, it was built within an established large garden area with a pond.

We are a couple in our early 50's which three grown up children (living away from home but nearby). Tilly is our springer spaniel, Archie the cat, chickens and pet sheep. We love to travel, have trekked and climbed in Nepal, India, Africa and Peru and enjoy walks in the nearby hills when time allows it.

We offer board and meals in exchange for help in the house, garden and maintenance around the yard and farm. Our present pr... more inside
