Hello,
We are a family of five with three young children centrally located near Gore, approx an hour from Invercargill, an hour and a half from Dunedin and an hour or so to Queenstown.
We are looking for someone to help on our 750 acre sheep and beef farm and sometimes help with some domestic chores. No experience is necessary but an interest in animals/farming would be great! A good grasp of English is essential. Because it's a rural area, having your own transport would be helpful. However, we're happy to pick up/drop off at the Gore bus stop. Minimum stay is one week.
Accommodation is a self contained house.

We welcome helpers from all over the world to help around our house and farm. We would prefer a couple. Two friends is fine but you would have to share a bed as we only have a double room available.

We are a busy farming family looking for help around our property and on our 1000 hectare sheep farm. We have three boys and a pet cat. We prefer people to stay at least one week.

We need help with gardening, house work and entertaining the kids. Jobs will vary daily. You will have an opportunity to see the farm, sheep and sheep dogs.

We are located on the edge of Lumsden, one hour from Queenstown, Te Anau and Invercargill.
No farm experience is necessary. We are looking for friendly, flexible, enthusiastic people. We need people who are keen to fit in with our family life.

We are happy for you to work approximately 4 hours a day for food and accommodation or work a full day and have the next day off.

You will need to have your own car.We will supply... more inside

I live on a beautiful picturesque farm bordering the Fiorldland National Park. It is currently leased to another farmer but I have a few sheep & chooks that need fed daily.

The farm is located up a secluded valley surrounded by native bush where the deer roam free. I am a keen hunter and also enjoy flying my microlight. The work available at the moment is mostly in the garden and around the house, including general maintainence and cutting firewood. 4 hours a day for accommodation, food and wifi. Please phone or text as I don't always check my helpex account.

Trying to achieve a self susstainable organic set up, free range chickens, ducks & live stock, organic vegetables and orchard and I only eat food that I know where its come from & that includes only home kill meats (which are the best anyway) that have lived an awesome natural life. The house backs onto the Waiau River, the property requires help in maintenance and up keep. Very cruzy lifestyle & like to have fun whilst doing tasks (its not really work) and then show off and explore the surrounding area of Southland and go hunting, fishing, surfing, kayaking, diving etc. I am always looking for helpers & if had to choose I prefer solo helpers over couples (no offence couples it's just less shit for me to clean, sort out & multi task) so hit me up!?!

Prosperity Farm is a lifestyle property very close to Invercargill which is a good base if you have a car and want to visit the Catlins, Stewart Island, Fiordland, local walks, cultural and sporting facilities of Invercargill. A small herd of White Galloway cows and beef cattle are grazed on the property. A flock of free range chickens produce fresh free range eggs. Mike is a tramping hunting fishing outdoor man who also enjoys cooking. If you like them there is always organic beef, wild venison, trout, duck, or whitebait available. Three dogs enjoy a walk to Seaward Bush which is close by. Help with housework, gardens and cooking is appreciated. Accommodation is a large sunny room with a balcony in the home. There is plenty of room and power if you have a camper van. Feel free to call for an obligation free inspection.

We are looking for people to help to tidy up 2 acres of native bushland. The work involves clearing the land of broom and bracken and other weeds (new growth as this was done last year), planting natives and general gardening and landscaping.

We would welcome arborists and hardworking people who enjoy outdoor work.

We are always interested in builders.

The accommodation is nearby, very comfortable and peaceful.

Lake Manapouri, known as the most beautiful lake in NZ, is a 5 minute walk away. Te Anau is a 15 minute drive and Milford Sound is only 2 hours. Manapouri is also the gateway to the beautiful Doubtful Sound.

For food and accommodation, you would work for 4 hours a day - the hours can be flexible so you can get away and enjoy the environment of Fiordland!

We welcome couples and singles and can take up to 4 people at a time (2 bedrooms).

You can also spend a few days at our home in Queenstown.

Preference will be given to helpers with a genuine interest in learning about NZ dairy farming and animal husbandry. We love sharing what we do and prefer to host helpers with a desire to learn.

300 cow family run dairy farm close to the Southern Scenic Route, between Invercargill and the Caitlins.
We offer a family environment with opportunities for farm work, housework, gardening and cooking. There is a wide variety of work available. Working with the animals of course, weed control, plus fencing work, painting, carpentry and lots of different small tasks to complete. If outdoor work doesn't appeal, help in the house with cooking and cleaning is always appreciated, and the small, developing garden offers a third alternative. We try to fit the work to each helper's skills and interests, and keep things varied and interesting.

We have 3 children who are mostly grown and away doing their own thing, but come home occasionally.

Looking for helpers who can fit in as part of t... more inside
