This is a backpackers retreat. An Old Post Office which opened in 1900. Also a guest house. Help with maintenance needed, and also cleaning the hostel and guest house. Comfortable single or twin accommodation and great meals on site. No smoking in or around the buildings. Bluff Harbour views, ferry leaves for Stewart Island from Bluff. Great Bush and Sea Walks. Twenty minutes to city of Invercargill. Lex has a boat and loves fishing and hunting. Karen enjoys creating with fibre, spinning, knitting dyeing and felting in her large workshop. For those who want to stay longer and improve their English, Lex has qualifications in TESOL. You are part of our family and join us on any outings if you wish.

a car is a great asset as on days off you can explore the catlins. I HAVE 3000 SHEEP 200 CATTLE. a compact garden nestled among large trees. overlooking the catlins forest. close to lovely beach walks work includes cleaning the house gardening. working on the farm shifting stock whatever is happening you can just come along and learn and join in during the summer you can go and swim with dolphins just minutes away i look forward to hearing from you mike.

I have day spa which I need help cleaning and gardening. Also at the cafe I need help with the dishes during busy hours. Prefer a male as it is mostly outdoor gardening work I need help with...I really need my helper to work 5 hours a day. Also my accommodaton is in a little garden room - it has a great view but it is not warm and no electricity. The room is in the photo the third on the top line with open doors. I feed my helpers at the cafe as I do not want cooking at the house which is a spa.

We are a hotel in southland looking to use our land for organic farming and growing to help us grow to a sustainable level.
We offer our woofers a large room with its own shower and toilet, We have free internet for use and t.v room. Meals included in exchange for 4 hours work.Duties can include working in the bar or kitchen or looking after our vege gardens and animals ( Sheep, Cows, Chickens ) A trout river runs past the hotel so bring your rod! We also go to the coast, tides depending for hunter gathering missions. We often travel to Queenstown and can offer a ride to the hotel also pick ups and drop offs to invercargill. Arthur needs an adult female helper to help run this adventure voyage. CONTACT US NOW (PHONE IS BEST) IF YOU CAN BE IN BLUFF FOR SUNDAY AT 9 AM AND THINK YOU MIGHT BE SUITABLE AS A HELPER FOR US.
This help involves living on board for five days, helping Arthur to supervise these youngsters in their activities. Think about coming aboard with us and seeing Stewart Island in a way few people have the opportunity to!
The helper needs to fun loving and adventurous and not mind living in close proximity with the young people. You will adventure with the rest of us, - sailing, small boat handling, exploring the hidden beauty of Stewart Island, snorkelling, walking, history... while at the same time helping out as required and being there as necessary for our female adventurers. Hi
We are looking for 1-2 people to help with general cleaning chores/ reception work in the backpackers, and on our property such as stacking firewood, some simple maintenance and maybe repair jobs.
Please phone or by email if you are interested, for rfeception work you must be able to speak english well. Usually we require 2-2.5 hrs work per day for free accommodation.

This is a luxurious Bed and Breakfast accommodation facility. It is located on a 305 hectare working farm in Northern Southland. It is a great location from which to base yourself as we are one hours drive south of Queenstown, one hours drive north of Invercargill, one hours drive east of Te Anau and a forty minute drive from Gore. The area is well known for its many great fishing rivers. A walk up one of our hills gives you the most spectacular scenery. Roger works full time on the farm - we have 800 Sheep, 300 Deer and 50 Cattle. Paula runs the Bed & Breakfast - we have two rooms available both with their own large ensuites. We have a one room cottage available for anyone who comes to stay with bathroom facilities in our laundry. There is plenty of room and space on our property. Thanks to all the helpers I have had since September 09 - there has been a continual stream and lots of good work done. We completed a few landscaping projects in the garden, built a shed, painted some rooms inside as well as the general maintenance jobs, the cleaning inside and clearing and sorting sheds etc. Going in to winter now, the work is slowing down but we are always interested in having help.
A couple works well and covers both aspects of work here - one inside to do housekeeping and cleaning and the other outside in the garden. One person at least must have a current driver's licence valid to drive in NZ and your own car is a bonus (but not essential) so you can go exploring in the area when you are not working.
You will have your own fully equipped accommodation and wireless internet - we provide the food and you do your own cooking.

We offer free accommodation in exchange for household work, yellow-eyed penguin preservation work and helping run my surfing school at Curio Bay. Basic work is a maximum of 4 hours per day in exchange for a free bed & dinner at nights. Own bedroom provided. Breakfast & lunch not supplied. But you will receive a BBQ or kiwi roast once a week. Best of all is woofers who stay 1 week or more get a free surf lesson. This bay is the home of the Hectors dolphins, yellow eyed penguins & NZ sea lions. All woofers really love it there.
