A beautiful property by a river, backing onto a reserve and garden. A very peaceful place with an enchanted feel about it.

We are a family of 2, myself Valerie, mother of a delightful 4 year old child, Issa . We have also 2 dogs, bichons frises, Willow and Banjo We love having visitors!

The help needed would be easy gardening work. Anyone with building skills to bring that would be welcomed as we are planning to do up a garage at the moment.

I look forward to meeting whoever is drawn to coming to visit us. We live in a very beautiful part of the country.

Hi There Helpers,

We have a small flock of sheep, hobby vineyard and a good sized garden and are looking for one helper to start 6th March. The priority at the moment is the vineyard, the work is easy and pleasant. There will also be a small amount of housework each day, sometimes some meal preparation. There could be some gardening and other farm work but mostly in the vineyard.

Our property runs from the road down to a small beach where we keep a couple of kayaks helpers can use or just swim, walk and enjoy our beautiful little bay.

Robyn works four days a week at the local YMCA so you would be working with Peter most of the time.

We would like you to work five hours a day with us(or whatever suits us both) in return for a room and good healthy, varied meals. Peter loves cooking on the barbeque and sharing his knowledge of grape growing and making his own wine and beer.

If you don't have your own transport you can take the Christchurch to Akaroa shuttle bus, get... more inside

We are a busy family with 5 sons (7, 10, 15, 17, 21 years) and live in Diamond Harbour on the Banks Peninsula.
We have a beautiful home and our Micro-Farm, as we call it ... a garden, some chickens and we grow organic children :-) There's always something happening in our house, but we also just enjoy the simple village and community life. We all love to have visitors, talking, eating together, sharing our home and getting to know new people.
And of course, there is always something to do in our household! We love doing it ourselves, but sometimes it is nice to have a little help, for example with work in the house, cooking, in the garden, with the children or just being there to give a little backup.
Diamond Harbour is a small village on the beautiful Banks Peninsula, no shops, but great community and lots of nature.

We are a German family with lots of travel experience in NZ and local knowledge and we are happy to support you!

Looking forward to meet you!

After two years of travelling and getting our earthquake repairs completed, we are back taking helpers again!

Our family of five lives on a 10 acre lifestyle block 25 minutes south of Christchurch on the way to Akaroa. We grow our own vegetables and animals on the farm, and usually cut the larger paddocks for hay. We enjoy getting outdoors as much as possible and are keen bikers, skiiers and climbers. The size of the property means there is always a lot to do so we are grateful for the time and energy our helpers give to us.

We offer free self-catering accommodation in our fully self-contained one bedroomed flat, plus use of bikes, swimming pool and wireless internet in exchange for 4 hours labour per day. You can also help yourself to whatever is in season - vegetables, grapefruit, feijoas, eggs etc. Work includes light farm duties and gardening and is suitable for those with no farm experience. Typical jobs include feeding animals, tending the vegetable patch, mowing the la... more inside

This is a Perendale stud sheep property situated on a very picturesque Banks Peninsula hill-country property overlooking Akaroa Harbour. We farm 300 ewes, and depending on the season either 500 lambs or 250 ram and ewe hoggets. All sheep are fully recorded for genetic selection and the business of ram selling.

We are a married couple in the mid 60's age group, assisted by two wonderful sheep dogs, Sledge and Bien.

Jeanette has a business organising self-drive tours of New Zealand for international visitors. She speaks French quite well and will love to continue her improvement in this language.

Our home is new (very warm and cosy) with landscaping and garden development an ongoing project. Its a non-smokers house.

Our guest will live in, with their own bedroom (wonderful view) and ensuite. Access to free WIFI. You will share all meals with us. Prefer helpers who enjoy coffee breaks and a glass of wine with dinner.

Work will involve a combination of livestock farmin... more inside

We are raising our two kids on a small eco-friendly farm on Banks Peninsula, 35 minutes from central Christchurch.

We offer a farmstay, with accommodation in a warm open-plan sleepout. We will provide you with food for your own breakfasts. You are welcome to join us for lunches and your evening meal. We would like helpers to work for four to five hours per night stayed helping us to regenerate native bush, farm chores and gardening.

At the moment we would love your help to plant native trees and help with firewood for next winter.

We aim to be as self-sufficient as we can. We grow and eat some of our food. We're not vegetarians. Our heating and hotwater is a mix of solar and wood burners with wetbacks. We try to recycle our waste including having composting toilets.

We have great walking and biking at our back door accessing Banks Peninsula's highest peaks. David travels into Christchurch each week day and is happy to pick you up at the museum. Absolutely no smoker... more inside

We are looking for a Helper or two that can start anytime.

Accommodation here is an almost finished self-contained colonial style sleepout, it has a loft which can sleep 2, also bedding for one or two downstairs.

Oh, we have a wee one named Evie. . she's 6, and awesome! Very friendly, fun and loves people!

One thing we do ask, is that people arrive in the morning and not evening.

We have 3 young children and live in beautiful Little Akaloa by the sea. We run a small sheep farm and Olive grove.
We have a brand new sleep out with a kitchen unit, ensuite and a super comfy double bed!
We would require help predominantly on the farm and in the garden as we have quite a big property to maintain.
If you like kids, animals, the sea and want to live in a sleepy little bay on Banks Peninsula this is the place for you. Must have your own car as this would allow you some independence
