Hello! We produce exquisite, organic, sourdough bread in our Woodfired Artisan Bakery that operates off the grid. Our land and home is on a 400 acre community, 20mins from Uki, Nimbin and Kyogle and an hour from Byron Bay. We sit at the foot of the Boarder Ranges National Park, in the heart of the caldera....it's peaceful and beautiful but not far from the action! Not only can you learn the true art of bread making with us but there is also gardening and building to be involved with. We are a happy couple with two delightful boys. We enjoy good food, music and our home. There is lovely house available all to yourself and we look forward to hosting you.

Great accommodation & delicious food is being offered to one friendly male traveller for 1-2 weeks. 5 Hours North Of Sydney!

Youíll be staying in a comfortable cosy apartment, which is separate from our house, with a wood fire and TV. The Telstra internet and phone signal here is really strong so youíll be able to connect with you family and friends back home.

Our main project is helping Graham build a log cabin along the river. Other duties may include fencing, moving cattle, gardening and general household duties. This would suit a man who is familiar with manual work. Graham will work by your side and provide all necessary training, while Chris will be busy preparing meals!

But itís not all about work: we enjoy sitting around a campfire getting to know one another and giving you a wonderful Australian outback experience. Our past helpers have written lovely reviews about their time with us, which we are very proud of. You can find some of these on the HelpX sites, or... more inside

HALFWAY BETWEEN SYDNEY AND MELBOURNE
Scott and Fiona are married couple in late 40s/early 50s. We have recently bought a property which includes several old buildings, one of which is heritage-listed, and 2 rented cottages in addition to our residence, with local river frontage.
There is a lot of work to tidy up the grounds, establish gardens, orchards and paths, as well as continuing to work to eradicate blackberry stands. Goats have done the bulk of the blackberry clearing, but the canes need cutting and raking into piles for burning when the weather allows.
We will also be renovating all the buildings, so replacing verandah timbers, painting, patching damaged weatherboard, reinstating missing stairs and decking. There are also internal renovations - completing a bathroom, tiling with granite and marble offcuts, internal walls.
Accommodation for volunteers is in a large 10m caravan, which has a double bed and 2 bunks, as well as a shower/toilet and kitchenette.
Access to... more inside
