We provide a great opportunity for riders who have established riding ability to indulge their love and passion for horses by riding several quality warmblood horses per day. As a rule we have about four or five horses being worked daily so there is plenty of work for those who are riders or enjoy working with horses and it provides a great opportunity to improve riding skills.

We have been training and breeding competition horses for over forty years and information about us is available on the web. For those that wish to review that information, Google search for our property name which is Northern Warmblood Stud, or Northern Warmbloods.

We have two groups that help us: those that ride or who have horse experience who work with the horses and those without who help with the stables, feeding, some farm work. A working day is between five and six hours depending on what we are doing. The work is not hard, but needs to be done to a standard so that the stables are clean and ... more inside

Hi there!

Just take the Belgrave train for 1 hour from Melbourne, and paradise awaits! Transport from the station is easy.

This is a bush property abounding with birds and tall gum trees in the Dandenong Ranges. There is a double bed in the spare room, which has a stunning view over the garden and beyond, similar to the last photo. There is wifi.

Great food is on offer; carnivore, vegetarian, even vegan or other needs are easily catered for. Entertaining is a pleasure. The only animal is a lovely friendly Australian Shepherd girl, so no dog allergies please!

Open-minded and fun-loving, I love alternative music, and smoking outside is ok. I have a guitar and a piano. There are even some good live music venues close by, and you can go for a night out if that is your interest.

I speak some French, and am happy to help with conversation for French people wanting to improve their English.

COME AS STRANGERS.....LEAVE AS FRIENDS :-)

We are a middle aged couple with a beautiful energetic young pre-schooler at home, passionate about developing and living in a sustainable world. Mum works with youth who have disabilities, while Dad is at home, home schooling Bub, keeping house, producing food in the garden and the kitchen, and developing the property with permaculture principles in mind.

We currently live in a converted open plan schoolhouse with 2 bedrooms. Bubba shares our room, so the other room is available.

We have chickens,a bull and 2 cows, 3 young calves, several sheep, pigs, sometimes ducks, and hopefully soon rabbits and goats, along with our cats and dogs. We are located about 2 hours from the city, in a region that has diverse farming operations-from vineyards and market gardens, through to dairy and sheep.

We'd love to share our rustic, no-frills life experiences with you here, in exchange for your willingness to help us as we work in our food-g... more inside

Winter update: 1 or 2 people who are happy to work outdoors (it's cold!)

Some upcoming help with lifting old tiles, minor demolition, mowing, digging, light gardening duties would be appreciated.

We are a family of two adults and a teenager on 7 acres in Woodend; an easy 1 hour train ride from Melbourne. We are undertaking a lot of garden maintenance and home renovation and will appreciate your help with numerous projects.

We will collect you from the station, so you don't need a car. If you have a vehicle, it's a bonus. It's a picturesque area near famous Hanging Rock. If you stay for 2 weeks we will take you on some trips around the area to see some sights while you are here.

The work required is varied and we will match it to your skills: gardening, planting, weeding, digging, painting, fencing, animal care, cooking, cleaning, mowing, collecting branches, tidying up etc. Please let us know if you have... more inside

We need 2 people to come to our olive farm and in a beautiful peaceful valley. Cattle (and kangaroos) also graze on property. We need a minimum of one week starting beginning of July. The work will be helping us pick olives and making then extravirgin olive oil. There may also be be mowing grass, pruning, gardening and other farm jobs. We serve you lunch and dinner with us and there is very nice accommodation in a comfortable two bedroom cottage. There is a small cash reward for good work. We are close to the beach and Wilsons Promontory National Park and can lend you a car on days when you are not working. We are 2.5 hours by bus from Melbourne. We speak a little French but welcome visitors from anywhere and like to help you to learn English if necessary! The weather is not as bad as you think in South Gippsland! Sunny days are quite common in July and we have warm accommodation and no snow. We are Andrew (0428304477) and Lyn (0413016624) and would love to hear from you.

Hello, we are a music loving couple living in a large 3 level home in Reservoir, Melbourne with our gorgeous dog Clara. Rob is an English teacher and Meg works in the film industry, we have both done a fair bit of travelling through Asia and Europe.

Our house has 2 kitchens and 2 bathrooms and is a meat free house- (seafood is ok) with a large garden 16km's north of the central city. It is a 5 min walk to the bus station and a 30 minute walk to the main train line which takes a 30-40 minute ride to Melbourne CBD, there are some shops nearby (convenient store, fish n chips, pizza place) with a larger shopping area inc supermarket and cafes about 4km away.

There are a lot of low skill repairs, improvements and maintenance that needs to be done on our house and garden that we don't have the time to do.

Ideally we would have a male helper or a couple who are dog lovers and happy to work 2 hours a day for accommodation only.

Work would include such things as dog walking, g... more inside
