We are urgently seeking a rider, or someone with horse experience. We are located in northern Victoria and breed and train horses for dressage and show-jumping as well as hunt. As a rule we have about four or five horses being worked daily so there is plenty o f work for those who are good riders or love working with horses, and can help us in their training.

We have been training and breeding competition horses for over forty years and information about us is available on the web. For those that wish to review that information, Google "Northern Warmbloods", or Northern Warmblood Stud.

We have two groups that help us: those that ride or who have horse experience who work with the horses and those without who help with the stables, feeding, some farm work. A working day is between five and six hours depending on what we are doing. The work is not hard, but needs to be done to a standard so that the stables are clean and tidy. Some instruction will be given at the outset on ... more inside

This is an old family property first established by my Great Grandfather, although we now live on a small section of the original property. My wife and I were formerly running a merino sheep stud. We have a large garden which needs constant work and from time to time also undertake more major projects for which we seek strong, enthusiastic assistance! We try to match the work expectations to the skills and interests of our guests.

Basic fitness and a readiness to learn and be involved are essential. We prefer to speak English but have some limited French. We are 90 minutes from Melbourne just outside Ballarat in central Victoria. We offer full board in pleasant surroundings with us in the old family homestead in return for about fours hours of work each day on average. We feel that (reasonably) short term stays are best. We have two dogs who do come inside and we have a lake for swimming.

We are happy to collect you from the Ballarat Railway Station and we are very willing... more inside

** We'd like to welcome an enthusiastic 20-25 year old who enjoys working outside. Previous gardening or farm experience would be great, as would experience with horses. Stays of 4 weeks (or longer) are preferred **

Our family of 5 (mum, dad and 3 kids 21,18 and 14) live on a quiet 8 acre property around 35 kilometres east of Melbourne. On our property we have horses, dogs and chickens. All of our animals are well behaved and love daily attention.

We're a friendly family that enjoys getting to know new people and learning about different countries and cultures. Our eldest son lives near his university, but when he's home he enjoys relaxing with our helpers (maybe over a beer or two) . Our middle daughter is a dedicated horse rider and enjoys riding and going out with friends. Our youngest adores animals and drawing. My husband and I welcome a laugh and a chat about almost anything, especially over a meal and a glass of wine! For the time you are with us, you are treated as... more inside
