Hi and thanks for reading :)

Come and join us on beautiful French Island, which is 70% national park, uniquely natural and very Australian. We need help from a couple, with one or both being experienced with cooking.

FRENCH ISLAND is only a ten minute ferry ride after an hour drive from Melbourne, Victoria. We proudly have the largest population of healthy Koalas in the world, great natural landscapes, over 250 bird species and only 100 resident humans!

Fully off-grid with unsealed roads, French Island is like stepping back in time, but we are equipped with solar, wind and battery power.

Koalas regularly hang-out in our nearby trees, enjoying the bay-views north and south! It really is a beautiful location, surrounded by nature. We also have some sheep, alpacas, a goat and Sam the dog.

If you like music, we have a piano, conga drums, acoustic guitars, harmonica, flute, microphone and amplifier. We also have a pool-table, massage table, board-games and lots of open sp... more inside

We are urgently seeking a rider, or someone with horse experience. We are located in northern Victoria and breed and train horses for dressage and show-jumping as well as hunt. As a rule we have about four or five horses being worked daily so there is plenty o f work for those who are good riders or love working with horses, and can help us in their training.

We have been training and breeding competition horses for over forty years and information about us is available on the web. For those that wish to review that information, Google "Northern Warmbloods", or Northern Warmblood Stud.

We have two groups that help us: those that ride or who have horse experience who work with the horses and those without who help with the stables, feeding, some farm work. A working day is between five and six hours depending on what we are doing. The work is not hard, but needs to be done to a standard so that the stables are clean and tidy. Some instruction will be given at the outset on ... more inside

We live in a rural setting situated approx. 15 km from Bendigo in Central Victoria in Emu Creek. We are approx. 1.5hrs from Melbourne. Our house is not seen by the main road it is very quiet and you can see the stars at night. We have great views of the country-side and our closest neighbour, 200yds away.

Our main production on the site is milking goats and we produce Cheese and soap from the milk. There is always plenty of work maintaining and feeding of goats, we also have miniature goats and boer goats. To apply here you must be able to work with animals. We also have a vegetable garden which requires some work. We are currently landscaping our front garden area with a lot of stone work currently in progress, so if you have skills in this area it would be great. We would like to be informed if special dietary requirements are needed. Non Smokers please. ... more inside

This is an old family property first established by my Great Grandfather, although we now live on a small section of the original property. My wife and I were formerly running a merino sheep stud. We have a large garden which needs constant work and from time to time also undertake more major projects for which we seek strong, enthusiastic assistance! We try to match the work expectations to the skills and interests of our guests.

Basic fitness and a readiness to learn and be involved are essential. We prefer to speak English but have some limited French. We are 90 minutes from Melbourne just outside Ballarat in central Victoria. We offer full board in pleasant surroundings with us in the old family homestead in return for about fours hours of work each day on average. We feel that (reasonably) short term stays are best. We have two dogs who do come inside and we have a lake for swimming.

We are happy to collect you from the Ballarat Railway Station and we are very willing... more inside

We are a middle aged couple with a beautiful energetic young pre-schooler at home, passionate about developing and living in a sustainable world. Mum works with youth who have disabilities, while Dad is at home, home schooling Bub, keeping house, producing food in the garden and the kitchen, and developing the property with permaculture principles in mind.

We currently live in a converted open plan schoolhouse with 2 bedrooms. Bubba shares our room, so the other room is available.

We have chickens,a bull and 2 cows, 3 young calves, several sheep, pigs, sometimes ducks, and hopefully soon rabbits and goats, along with our cats and dogs. We are located about 2 hours from the city, in a region that has diverse farming operations-from vineyards and market gardens, through to dairy and sheep.

We'd love to share our rustic, no-frills life experiences with you here, in exchange for your willingness to help us as we work in our food-garden, care for the animals, and play with our... more inside

Hi there! I'm a young farmer near Daylesford about 1.5 hours North West of Melbourne and I've been farming here for just over 3 years now. I have two exceptionally charming dogs (Bryn and Tasha), alpacas, bees, two yearling cows, ducks, and a flock of free-ranging chickens. We're currently doing two farmers' markets a week selling baked goods and pulled pork rolls both made from ours and our neighbours' produce. Our current project is building a food trailer which will serve food made with produce grown on or near the farm and if that works out we hope to build an on-farm restaurant based on the same idea! Work on the farm is varied but mainly consists of feeding the chickens, ducks and calves, baking, helping at markets, varied farm projects, weeding, harvesting vegetables, small scale construction and cooking woodfired pizza! Also if you have any ideas of projects you would like to be involved in building on the farm we would love to hear from you. On our wish list at the moment i... more inside

We are situated in the Upper Kiewa Valley in North East Victoria with magnificent views of Mt. Bogong. We have a large garden on a sloping block that need some attention, including weeding, mulching, and pruning. It would be good if you have had experience using a ride on mower and whippersnipper, plus you need to have lots of energy and be fit! Also if possible, some small general home maintenance jobs could be done, so would help if you are a painter or carpenter. There is plenty of sight seeing and tourist destinations near by as well as the Alpine National Park. I also operate a bed and breakfast accommodation with Airbnb, so will just have to co-ordinate the dates that are available when I have no other guests staying. I am looking at approximately a one week stay for HelpX. I'm sure you will have fun here and enjoy the hospitality my wonderful community is proud of.
