Moora Moora is an intentional community of about 30 households on top of Mount Toolebewong, 70km north-east of Melbourne.
Our helpers stay together in a community owned building we call 'The Lodge'. We are a great place to come and help at as there are always lots of people, other helpers or community members to have fun with. The work is varied as you work with different people each day. Jobs that you are likely to be asked to do included vegetable gardening, weeding, fencing, building, painting, rendering, wood splitting, wood staking, landscaping, building chicken runs, cleaning, perhaps child minding and more.
We have wifi in The Lodge but it is a little slow. The Lodge is also solar powered and power is limited sometimes, we cannot use hair dryers in The Lodge.
During your two days off we have many ways you can enjoy yourselves. We have a waterhole to swim in and a tennis court. We are also surrounded by forest which you can explore. There are beautiful views and much wildli... more inside

The Squirrell Ranch is located just 1 hour (35km) north of Melbourne's CBD in a picturesque and peaceful community called Arthurs Creek. Our property is a 140 acre "bush block" that is surrounded by natural bushland (Kinglake National Park and Yan Yean Reservoir). We have rolling hills with gullies and creeks to explore on foot or on our purpose built mountain bike track. Along the way you will see and hear kangaroos, lyre birds, wombats and maybe even the odd koala. You will also have access to a pool and tennis court should the weather be on your side. We are both in our early 40's and have two young boys; we all love to have fun outside and so come and join us.

We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals or couples to help with general gardening and maintenance around and in the house. Jobs might include: weeding, pruning, household cleaning, window cleaning, firewood collection, fencing, painting etc (please do let us know if you have any trades or handy ex... more inside

Hi, my name is Lynne. I am a sole parent to the wonderful (and nearly) 7 year old Lulu. Currently we live in Newcastle, NSW but I've lived all over Australia and in many other countries. Before becoming a mum I traveled extensively for both work and cultural experiences. Previously I produced music festivals, managed arts and community projects, and for the last 5 years have been a full time parent. Generally we have a simple but wonderful life, enjoying the beach, bike riding, , cooking, growing vegetables, dancing, singing, art listening to music, go paddle boarding, enjoy reading, drawing and I love to practice yoga at home.

We intend to travel to Victoria to attend the famous Rainbow Serpent Festival 25-30th January 2018 and am inviting a special person(s) to join us with free entry into the festival in exchange for child care

We provide a perfect opportunity for riders who have established riding ability to indulge their love and passion for horses by riding several quality warmblood horses per day. As a rule we have about four or five horses being worked daily so there is plenty of work for those who are riders or enjoy working with horses and it provides a great opportunity to improve riding skills.

We have been training and breeding competition horses for over forty years and information about us is available on the web. For those that wish to review that information, Google search for our property name which is Northern Warmblood Stud, or Northern Warmbloods.

We have two groups that help us: those that ride or who have horse experience who work with the horses and those without who help with the stables, feeding, some farm work. A working day is between five and six hours depending on what we are doing. The work is not hard, but needs to be done to a standard so that the stables are clean an... more inside
