We are in Hepburn Springs in Central Victoria, and looking for a couple or a few friends , from late May, for a variety of tasks. As we have sold this property, Malcolm has a shed to sort out and empty. There is some lifting and shifting, and we have a garden and orchard to maintain, there is dog walking, and there are tasks to do on a block of land in nearby Daylesford where we are building a new home. Usually 4-5 hours of Morning work, only 5 days a week with Fridays and Sundays off. We may ask you to work with another local host for one day (usually Saturday) during your stay here. You are welcome to come bushwalking with our local group on Fridays. Stays of 3-7 days.Public transport from Southern Cross Station. Love to hear from you Ruth and Malcolm.

We are a fun family with 3 children (7, 13 & 15), cats, dogs, chickens and horses.

Our home is a large, comfortable mud-brick house that has been hand crafted using reclaimed materials. We live 15 minutes South of the border of NSW and Victoria where the famous Murray River flows. The countryside around us is attractive and there are fantastic views from the hill behind our home.

There are miles of walking trails joining our land if you are into adventuring. There are usually kangaroos around, as well as occasional echidnas and wombats.

Albury/Wodonga is a popular stopping point for people travelling between Sydney and Melbourne. We are approximately 3-4 hours from either Melbourne or Canberra, 5-7 hours from Sydney.

The accommodation here is your own room, either with a gorgeous queen-size four-poster bed, or one of two single beds. Both rooms are in a separate part of the house and are away from the rest of the family. We prefer helpx guests to stay for approxi... more inside

I have recently purchased a 10 acre block on which I am converting an old building into a house and developing an organic farm using permaculture principles. I need help with all sorts of demolition and construction projects. Including work on the house, fencing, setting up the vegie garden and planting trees. There is a lot of old junk on the block so we often find some interesting treasures.
I have a horse, 2 dogs, 2 cats, some sheep, cows and alpacas and lots of chickens.

I work mornings as a farm manager at a local school so we will only be working afternoons. You will have your nights and mornings free. :)
I spend Saturday morning in Yackandandah drinking coffee and doing the quiz with the locals.
The property is close to the historic town of Yackandandah, renowned for its music and alternative thinkers, located in between Melbourne and Sydney about 1.5 hours to the snow resort of Falls Creek. With fantastic bush walking, mountain bike riding and trail riding near by. ... more inside

Can offer very comfortable accommodation on Gippsland Lakes with boating, sailing and kayaking from the front door in return for some help in garden and general property/ household maintenance.
Semi retired gent, well travelled and would like to be travelling but can't just at the moment so what's the alternative? Have travellers come and visit! Very interested in cultural diversity, music, outdoors, and want to improve my French so happy to help with practicing English skills in return for some French parctice where possible.
Suit young people particularly interested in outdoors, boating, sailing, kayaking, fishing around the big expanse of Gipplsand Lakes system. Good access to Melbourne by train (3 per day) and can meet train in Bairnsdale. Work routine is not regimented on a daily basis but is more a cultural exchange with a bit of help but most importantly a good experience for both parties.

The garden is filled with Autumn colour and so very beautiful! Please come and enjoy the serenity and a bit of leaf raking :)

We live in the mountains of north east Victoria, one hours drive from Albury Wodonga. It's a really pretty place with rivers and creeks and friendly people. Our garden is what needs the most work as there is about 4 acres of it and we open it up to the public for some of the year. We have a large collection of medicinal plants and like to teach people about how they were used to heal in the past.
We like to do artistic things, we make our own soap and always have building projects on the go.
The gardens are magnificently landscaped and include a water lily covered lake with Monet bridge, large vegetable garden and hedge maze.
We are located beside the Mitta Mitta river in a picturesque mountain area close to the snow fields.
We ask for 5 hours or there abouts gardening or odd jobs per day.
You will have your own room and comfy bed. Transport can be... more inside
