Please note we do not have a position available until March. We hope you can come then!

A bit about our home first.
Our home is partly an urban infill development, where we have converted one house into four self-contained living units, tripling the population density without adding to the house’s footprint.
Our home is partly an urban farm with chickens, goats, compost and fruit trees, plus a large shared veggie patch.
Our home is partly a demonstration sustainable house, with cutting edge energy systems, water collection and dispersal systems and innovative passive solar design.
Our home is partly an educational opportunity and community hub, with regular tours, workshops, films and other community events.

Why not come and stay with us?

Your hosts Shani and Tim will be happy to meet you. Tim does all the building, landscaping and art work around the place, and Shani is in charge of the gardens and animals.

The Hamelin Bay area is the unspoilt/unchanged part of Margaret River. Tall forrest and secluded beautiful ocean meet very close to this land..., in fact it's possible to walk from this land, through the forest to Boranup Beach and Hamelin Bay. This land has a natural parkland appearance with shady groves of Peppermint and Grass Trees. If you choose to stay and help me here, I can help you make a nice campsite with tables, chairs and other outdoor kitchen stuff. You will have the use of a very clean camp toilet and great solar rainwater shower. And there's a winter stream winding through this land..., and all the usual Australian native animals roam and fly around freely and safely here. Karridale Tavern, Post Office and Cafe is 5 minutes drive away, Hamelin Bay is 6km(by road), Margaret river is 20 minutes drive north..., and Augusta is 15 minutes drive to the south. Blackwood river swimming is 10 min and all the caves are within 10 km.
