Two hectares, 35 kms from Launceston, growing hazelnuts, vegies and a range of fruit trees and soft fruit. We have a large worm farm which needs quite a lot of maintenance. Near Holwell Gorge and 1 hour from Narawntapu National Park.We have one spare bedroom and can therefore take one person at a time. Short stays of one week in our modern home, longer by negotiation. Work is 4 and a half hours per day and could include pruning, mulching and hazelnut collection in season.... none of the work is exhausting! Pick up in Launceston available by arrangement. We are a couple, no kids and meals are mostly vegetarian. Some of our interests include travel, the arts and bushwalking. Our house is modern and you would have a room with a view to yourself. We particularly need someone for the last week of February.

Hi travellers

Our home and organic garden is in New Town on a frequent bus route into Hobart - about 10 minutes by bus or 5 minutes by car. The Airporter bus stop is an easy walk around the corner and shops and cafes are a 15 minute walk away.

We are a busy couple living in a heritage listed 19th century Georgian Victorian home which we are restoring using traditional 19th century techniques. If you love old houses and old stuff then our place is for you. We are looking for help from mid to late May doing unskilled work on the house and general help getting the place into order. Non smoker preferred.

Current helpex's moving out on the 20 th of this month.. April.

We are a family of three, my wife and I and twelve year old boy, and two dogs,we have two separate properties one of which is my studio. I am a practicing artist ( sculptor) operating a studio on 14 acres and I'm the process of setting up the garden and exchange artist in residence and helpx accommodation ( very basic). There is a little cottage on the property with a double bed and an open fire place. So suitable for a couple or single person( one room) or shared small space. It has a lovely valley view and very cosy.
The toilet and shower are a short walk away. It is more practical in summer as a lot of the time you are outdoors. We are looking for some one to live in the little cottage and work for minimum 2 hours a day five days a week, or one full day ! This really is only an accommadation type exchange hence the 2/hours per day work requirement. You will have to supply own food and prep - kitchen availab... more inside

We are on a 16 acre hobby farm in the Huon Valley, 45 minutes from Hobart. We have a small vineyard and several cows, calves, a dog and some chickens. The house has three bedrooms and 2 bathrooms is warm and user friendly. We work the vineyard, have a few odd projects at the moment, like preparing for vintage, which is big day when we have a huge sti down lunch, live music and all our friends pick our grapes in the morning. But we also go for walks, sail and enjoy life. We are a retired couple, who are into lifestyle and laughter. We hope if you join us you will also enjoy the property, mix in and help when we work and also come with us and meet our friends and any other activities we are involved with in the community. No smoking.

Hello

We are a family of four with two young children. We have a dog, many fish, chickens, and a few tadpoles. We love to socialise, eat nice healthy food and enjoy the outdoors. Rob is a keen fisherman and we regularly go boating, fishing and surfing.

The big jobs we have at the moment are:

1) converting the pool into a natural filtration pool by creating a wetland.

2) planting native trees

We also have the regular ongoing jobs like:

3) General veggie garden jobs
4) General aquaponics maintenance
5) General housework because we are so busy outside...

We live in an outer rural suburb near Hobart's best surf beaches about 15-20 mins out of town. We have access to public transport with a bus stop the end of the street. You will have your own room and bathroom and bike to access the many trails and beaches.

If you'd like to help us with our various projects we'd love to hear from you. We will pick you up from town and bring you to our home!

LENAH VALLEY HOMESTAY - easy access to both Mount Wellington National Park and Hobart city centre.

Availability:
Now.

About us and where we live:

Hello travellers, we have a large bedroom available with its own bathroom and separate toilet, and built in cupboards. There are two single beds that can be put together to make one big bed.

We are a family of three, myself (43) and my two daughters, 7 and 10. We live in a spacious sunny 5 bedroom house with a lovely garden of a small to moderate size, that borders a reserve that leads to the foothills of Mount Wellington. You can walk to the top from our house. At night, the wallabies come out to feed and we can see them from our kitchen window. I also have two bird baths, and a birdscaped garden to bring in many of the native birds, including some sweet little honey eaters, and one very bossy one.

We get all day sun when the sun is low in the sky, making us warmer in the cooler months. And of course, we have a lovely... more inside

We are a friendly Franco-Australian family living on six acres of land on the beautiful Tinderbox Peninsula in southern Tasmania, five minutes from a Blackmans Bay (a suburb of Hobart) and twenty minutes from the centre of Hobart. We are looking for a visitor (or visitor couple) to help our busy family, while enjoying a cultural exchange and discovering beautiful Tasmania.

**No availability until late April, then from late April we are looking for people wanting to stay for at least a month to help with a busy period***

Hobart is a small and beautiful town with many attractions, but it is not really for those who are looking for nightlife and shopping. To make the most of an experience with us, you need to be adventurous, love the outdoors and nature, be creative and self-sufficient, and like animals. On our property we have six sheep, five chickens and a rooster, and a lively Australian Kelpie dog. We also have a lot of bush, full of possums, wallabies, parrots and other na... more inside

We enjoy growing much of our own food and have recently purchased a 3 hectare hobby farm with a small orchard and great views of Mt Roland. We are in the process of renovating the house to better suit our needs. The house is mud brick and we are about to re-render those. We hope to move in late April. At the moment we have 11 chooks, 4 pigs and 12 sheep enjoying life on our farm.

We also have a good sized vegetable garden at our current home to maintain.

We are looking for helpers who are good with children and prepared to get involved with what ever work needs doing at the time, from feeding chooks to helping with renovations and farm work. We are looking forward to meeting new people and learning about their journey in life, we enjoy discussing/debating the bigger issues of life. We offer a separate bedroom, shared bathroom, wifi and of course meals.

Sheffield is a vibrant small country town know as "The Town of Murals", Mt Roland provides a stunning backdrop to the town... more inside
