Our farm is located 40 mins drive north of Launceston in the Tamar Valley (Tasmania). We have a 140 acre property with panoramic views of the Tamar Valley to the east, mountain ranges (snow capped in winter) beyond and the expansive ocean to the north.

We are a monogamous same sex (male) couple and hope that you will respect our relationship and our privacy as we will respect yours. Gay friendly. Open minded.
Our business enterprise is centred on beef cattle (60+). The farm is based on principals of perma culture where possible, particularly in the vegetable gardens, where we grow seasonal vegetables for the household and casual workers. We grow fruit, vegetables and nuts, we also keep a few chicken for eggs and meat. Here we value our environment and its diversity and have therefore set aside an area (approx. 10 acres) of native bush that we rarely visit, to allow the flora and forna to exist undisturbed. Yes we can sign 2nd years visa applications.

We offer you comfortable... more inside

Our 35 acre property, is nestled amongst the farming community of Stowport, Northwest Coast of Tasmania. We have 10 acres of beautiful rhododendrons, camelias, azaleas and a large variety of exotic conifers. The other 25 acres is natural rainforest bush with a dam. We have 10 Indian runner ducks and 2 geese on the dam. We have a resident platypus, wallabies, Tasmanian Devils, possums and bandicoots. Our platypus has not been seen for some time. The Tasmanian Devils are not seen as they are very shy animals, but we know they are around. If weather permits we like to take helpers on a night walk by torch light around the property when wallabies, possums and occasionally bandicoots can be seen.

Work will include, weeding, pruning, planting, raking and assisting with wood splitting (more wood stacking than splitting). There would also be some physical work assisting Wayne around the property. Hours of work would be approximately 5-6 hours per day with a total of 30 hours per week.
