Hello Helpers,
Would you like to see some of the sights of Launceston and surrounds?
Do you need a rest from travelling or farm work and want to relax?
Well…. I am offering any young backpacker (Guy or girl) a large separate guest room with its own toilet, Wifi, book library (and small martial arts training area) downstairs in my home, ….. available for short stays only.
I especially like to meet people from The Netherlands to get some Language practise, but we enjoy meeting travellers from all countires as well.
Here at my home I have a Professional Massage Studio which I use.
But.... I really do need to have a Helper that will let me Practise some New Massage Techniques that I have just learnt.
I just need someone to practise on "only once a day" is all I need so I can feel confident with a new massage style.
You will never be asked to pay for anything!

LENAH VALLEY, AT THE FOOT OF MT WELLINGTON PARK NATURE RESERVE.

We have lovely mountain views, we are a short bus ride to the city centre, and we have a large spacious double bedroom with it's own spacious bathroom and separate toilet. We are really enjoying meeting people from different countries and cultures, and we would love you to come and stay with us. Please note, we usually only have female helpers. We will consider couples with references.

About our family and where we live:

We are a family of three, myself (43) and my two daughters, 8 and 10. We live in a spacious sunny 5 bedroom house with a lovely garden that continues to get better with the help we have so far received. I have finally planted some veggies and we are in the process of expanding the vegetable garden. We are keen to get helpers with knowledge of veggie gardens and organic or biodynamic principles.

***Unable to take helpers from November through to mid-December***

Relatively new to Tasmania and the beautiful Huon Valley, we have recently moved into our lovely cottage house on 4 acres. Our household currently consists of 3 sheep, 4 brand new lambs, 3 goats, chickens, our super cute cat Pinot and a flock of ducks and ducklings.

We're attempting to learn and discover the wonders of a small farm, whilst at the same time studying and working. Stuart is a student nurse, Likira works at MONA and also studying. We are enjoying our organic vegetable garden, fruit orchard and keeping happy and healthy animals.

We are both really happy and laid back people, love the company of good friends, interesting people and challenging conversations. The Huon Valley inspires us with the amazing environment, spectacular scenery, delicious produce and great sense of community. We LOVE to use local produce and are passionate cooks, you will b... more inside

Our 5 acre hobby farm is situated in the Huon Valley, Southern Tasmania. Our family consists of three active children, two horses, four sheep, many chickens and two dogs. We are currently establishing gardens, including Australian native gardens and an organic vegetable garden. We are only 40 minutes from the capital of Tasmania, Hobart. Jobs would include weeding, mulching, moving soil and general farm maintenance. We have a separate guest house, however the bathroom is in the main house and is shared. There are many areas of natural beauty in Southern Tasmania which are all fairly close to us. We have kayaks and bikes for your use and there is a bus service very close by.

Hello

We are a family of four with two young children. We have a dog, many fish, chickens, and a few tadpoles. We love to socialise, eat nice healthy food and enjoy the outdoors. Rob is a keen fisherman and we regularly go boating, fishing and surfing.

The big jobs we have at the moment are:

1) converting the pool into a natural filtration pool by creating a wetland.

2) planting native trees

We also have the regular ongoing jobs like:

3) General veggie garden jobs
4) General aquaponics maintenance
5) General housework because we are so busy outside...

We live in an outer rural suburb near Hobart's best surf beaches about 15-20 mins out of town. We have access to public transport with a bus stop the end of the street. You will have your own room and bathroom and bike to access the many trails and beaches.

If you'd like to help us with our various projects we'd love to hear from you. We will pick you up from town and bring you to our home!

Come join our journey of holistic living with horses and humans! We are proud to announce that our house is completely off the grid – meaning we don’t use power supplied by utility companies! Our vegetable garden is organic and this year we are excited to be able to grow new annual vegies from our own seed.

In terms of animals, we have a herd of 18 horses (baby on the way!), 1 cat (Puss in Boots) and 1 dog (Meeka).

Your stay with us would include bringing horses into the yards, feeding, cleaning yards, gardening and helping us prepare for trail rides and riding lessons. This is a perfect opportunity to learn new skills by observing and/or participating. Some of the methods used are classic English (Dressage), Clicker training, Natural Horsemanship, Monty Roberts `Join up’ to name a few. Meet our Warm Blood Stallion and learn about our small breeding program.

If you are seeking to extend your 2nd year VISA you may fit into our `breeding program’ by helping to prepar... more inside
