Do you love nature? what about off grid living? How about great food and great company? We need your help to finish what a workshop of 35 people with Agari came out for 3 weeks left behind. We would love to have folks give us a hand to continue what has been started by loving community. We are located in a beautiful mountain/ bush setting, totally off grid. There is solar power and we are hoping to hook up a pelton wheel. The shack we live in is at the top of the block and the earthship is at the bottom. There is a working cob oven and rocket stove. Shelter in the earthship is dry and we set up a kitchen for use. Camping space is available and we have a tipi that is set up for either sleeping or relaxing. There are lovely bush walks all outside our back door. The weather is changeable; hot to cold, rain, snow, sunshine could all happen in a day. Our earthship has landed and now needs its roots in cobbing, rendering and bottle walls, landscaping, finishes. No experience necessary, j... more inside

...The Quiet Retreat , a Lifestyle Property...!!!

16 years ago , with only the help of wwoofer's/HelpX'ers , I started to built the house and clear the land , so this place is a BIG credit to all my helpers ....

As a wwoof host for 25 years , now I feel that for the helpers who come here , maybe self improvement/development could be one of their priorities... a good library of books is available and some very nice music...

I practiced Vipassana meditation/looked at Zen/Osho/Gurdjieff/Butterflies are Free to Fly etc and my long unusual life experiences , might give you some direction...
photo's,yoga, bush walking, connecting with nature, that is my young wife's specialty...

A Private Forest Reserve , 80 acre property, not a farm , not a party place , lots of bush and lots of native animals...yes, wallaby's , wedge tail eagles , wombats , spiders , very friendly leeches and the odd lazy black snake , LOL...

Accommodation for my guests is in a basic caravan for your pr... more inside

Our flower farm is overlooking the Huon Estuary located 8km from Cygnet. The farm is half pasture and half bushland. There are 3 dogs, 2 cats, chickens, 2 horses and beef cattle to look after as well as approximately 2ha of flowering plants. The farm is quite secluded and a very peaceful environment. Accommodation is self contained and it is helpful if people can cook for themselves food provided or otherwise negotiated. So animal friendly people are very welcome.

Our 15 acre property, 2.5km from Exeter 26k from Launceston, has fruit trees, berries and a vegetable garden.

At the moment, we are looking to clear overgrown blackberry bushes with the brushcutter. We have also had a lot of trees fall down so if you are handy with a chainsaw that would be wonderful.

We have some other outside work but you need to be reasonably strong. Household help always welcome. Stays of 3 to 10 days are welcome but longer by arrangement. Full board in exchange for 4.5 hours work a day. Accomodation is in our house with a shared bathroom. Our house is unfortunately very untidy as housework has a low priority! Please, we prefer helpers to understand English and be non-smokers. Our daughter, Amber, is 17 years old. Diet is mixed. Male/female bikes available. We love animals and part of our family are an inside cat and outside dog.

Looking for 1-3 helpers for summer and autumn. At the moment we need specially those who have experience in building, woodwork, rendering or cob building. Any handy man skills are welcome as we are building our new ceramic studio using natural building methods.

If you feel attracted to alternative life-style with a lot of potential to be creative then this is the place for you. Both of us are professional ceramic artists. Our small property is 40min drive South of Hobart in the picturesque Huon Valley.

We live in an old house and work most of the time in our studio or building a new one (natural building techniques). Also have a veggie garden, many fruit trees, and chickens not to mention the visiting possums and wallabies during nighttime. So, as you can imagine there is plenty of work around (some jobs can be demanding) –gardening, building, renovating, helping out in the studio and of course housework.

In exchange for 4-5 hours work daily, we provide you with separate ... more inside
