Our 2.5 acre is situated in Dolphin Sands on the East Coast of Tasmania, 1 1/2 hours drive from Hobart and Launceston, pretty much in the middle. There are buses from both major centres to Swansea. Swansea is a 15 minute walk along the beach or 7 minutes drive by car from Dolphin Sands. Swansea is the closest Post Office and Supermarket with Café’s Restaurants and great Tassie history.
We enjoy the spectacular Nine Mile Beach and Great Oyster Bay with views of the Hazards of Freycinet National Park. All this is only a five minute walk from the front gate.
We are looking for help to set up a permaculture style gardens and build with alternative methods and materials. At present we have a caravan and enclosed verandah as our permanent living space. There is plenty of room for camping with you own gear or in our 10 man very comfy tent. There is electricity and water and we have a dogs(female) Pinta.

A waterfront luxury holiday accommodation cottage set in a bush and garden setting on Bruny Island. Lots of wildlife - from wallabies/possums/eagles and frequently dolphins. I need help with running/cleaning the cottage and general garden maintenance work/mowing raking etc. Helper accommodation is totally self contained overlooking the sea.(see www.stclairs.com/studio) Private jetty and outboard dinghy with fishing gear may be available to helpers - also use of a car whilst on Bruny. Cook your own food provided and/or shared meals in the house. Paid work may be available on a neighbouring property. As the job involves cleaning and some driving, female HelpXers of 26+ with good English skills are preferred as they will be dealing with the public. Sorry no helpers needed until after Easter.

*Sorry, we do not need any helpers at the moment*
We try to live as self sufficiently as we can on our picturesque farm 12 km from the town of Scottsdale (and 10km from Bridestowe Lavender farm) On the farm we have have sheep, hens, geese, turkeys and guinea fowl, we maintain a large vegetable garden and a small orchard. We also keep bees and sell our honey locally. The help we require is mainly with weeding of our large gardens, collecting fallen bark & pine cones from the bush around the farm and helping us pick fruit. We would prefer one person but will consider 2 if you have relevant experience. Please only contact us if you really do enjoy country life/are interested in self sufficient living and have an enthusiastic, helpful and hardworking attitude.
We have a large dam with a resident platypus and and 30 acres of natural bush. Lots of wallabies are to be seen around the farm in the evenings, as well as other native wildlife. We also have a friendly cat called Charlie.

If you want a place to get away from the hussle and bussle of city life. This place is for you. Situated on beautiful Bruny Island the farm is on 12 hectares, close to a white sandy beach (100m).Bruny has the cleanest sea water and air in the world! Third pic is a whale and calf across the road today! We grow about 12 different sorts of berries, mostly strawberries. Assistance would be required on the farm in the way of maintaining and picking the fruit. There will also be some employment in the café for the right person. The farm has a fully serviced cafe which is now open for the next 6 months. We look forward to meeting everyone. I can sign your 2nd year visa. How would you like to get close to a white wallaby? Only place they are wild in the world! Bruny Island! With the weather improving we might get some fishing, especially for LOBSTER, now done in my boat
