We have a modest chemical free farm raising fruit, vegetables, grapes, chickens, ducks and miniature pigs.
Work is varied depending upon the season- this includes weeding, planting, garden maintenance, looking after the animals and helping around the house, cleaning and occasional cooking.Helpers work about 4 hours per day for free accomodation, all meals and a drink after work.
Helpers have seperate accomodation behind the main house with shared bathroom facilities.
Friday nights we make wood fired Pizza in our own cob oven and often have music nights.
We smoke cigarettes and drink alcohol- often at the same time :) so if this offends you we are probably not the right venue for your stay.
We take our helpers out 1 day per week to show them the beautiful sights of North east Tasmania.
Artistic Helpers are especially needed as the property has a number of murals and artworks on display but are always looking for more.

We live in the coastal/ country area of Bream Creek, on the east coast of Tasmania. We live amongst beautiful dairy farm country with a stunning beach 5 minutes away. Boneyard surf break is just round the corner!
We are a relaxed and busy family with 3 young kids. Our house is on a 1 acre block and we always need help in the garden. Some of the jobs we'd like to do soon are: mulching the back corner of the block, chopping firewood for next winter, re-doing the vegetable patch, mowing, whipper-snipping, and much more! We are happy with an average of 4 hours work each day - some days are longer, some shorter.
We have a room in the house or a tent if you would prefer.
We lead busy lives and, while we're keen for our helpxers to join in with our activities, we also need you to be independent.
Please contact us if you think you'd like to come and stay with us.
Many thanks,
Helen and Dougal.
