HORSE HEAVEN. EXPERIENCED RIDERS URGENTLY REQUIRED
Here at Wholly Horses we provide horsemanship skills for all ages of riders developing leadership and confidence as a basis for all forms of riding.

We train former thoroughbred champions of the track for life after racing. Called the Restart Program we urgently need intermediate/advanced riders to help us exercise and train these horses under supervision. We prefer longer term helpers 6-9 months or more.

We require an excellent level of horsemanship and are able to assist with feeding and management of our equine friends. If you have computer skills and are a wizz with social media you would also be very valuable to us!

Here at Wholly Horses we teach, practice and encourage good horsemanship and we are always looking for happy and willing workers to assist with the horses and general farm duties, in return for full board and accommodation, collection and drop off from airport. Happy to talk singles and couples.

NON SMOKERS ONLY! I (Yvonne) live in Launceston, Tasmania. Helpers assist with gardening, weeding, looking after the chooks (hens), food preparation, cooking and housework. Work hours depend on what I need you to do, so you must be flexible, but you will work an average of five hours a day. I can sign 2nd WHV forms for helpers doing specified work under the requirements of the 2nd WHV. I prefer short-term helpers who want to stay one - three weeks. I can collect/deliver you to/from anywhere in Launceston, the local bus depot or Launceston airport. You will be rewarded with good food, a comfy bed and a friendly household. Helpers MUST be NON SMOKERS. Due to allergies and my work with food I WON'T accept any helpers who smoke! No drugs or excessive alcohol consumption allowed. This is NOT the place for the 'party crowd', pampered Princesses' or lazy layabouts! We have a busy, somewhat chaotic, lifestyle. My interests include writing, performance poetry, Toastmasters, travel, cooking, ... more inside

We have some space in November/December for short stays. We shear in early December and happy to have more helpers then.
We run over 200 alpacas on a farm in Southern Tasmania. While not organic, we use few chemicals so we always have work in areas like weed control. We have people help us look after the alpacas - at sharing time, birthing and to halter train them. Our business can sign off your second year Visa.
We have a large English style garden so helpers are needed for this too. We are establishing an organic (non-certified) kitchen garden and have many local friends into self sufficient living who could also use your help.
We are 50 minutes from Hobart, near the Kermandie and Huon River - great fishing for those interested. The area has fantastic food, fabulous views and lots of fresh air. There are regular buses to Hobart and we can also provide transport to Hobart each morning. There is a farm vehicle for your limited use.
