Driver and general helper needed in Launceston.

We have a car but neither of us can drive (I have my learners). We live in a beautiful 1920s house close to the city.

We are sisters, Ned and Leny, Yumi the greyhound, Dante the chihuahua, Mollie the lurcher (whippet/border collie) and Guy the cat.

Ned is a digital artist and Leny is a jack of all trades. We only moved to Tassie in 2014 and we absolutely love it but we still have a lot more to see so there is a good chance that we will do some sightseeing with our helper.

We usually live in a beautiful 1920's "arts & crafts" house 3km south of Launceston city centre. It is quite a big house with a lovely garden and we always need help maintaining it.

We also have a house right in the centre of Campbell Town, a small historic town very conveniently located on the highway 67km from Launceston and 134 km from Hobart. We are a few doors down from the very picturesque 'Red Bridge' the oldest bridge on a highway in Australi... more inside

Dover has everything one needs: supermarket, cafe, pharmacy, bank, bottle shop, police, doctor's surgery, high school to 10 years etc. The beach is 20 minutes walk through town, the mountain is behind us. Our property has the vineyard, natural forest, pastures, vegie garden, lakes and creeks. Our wild life and the birds come visiting right to the front door :-)
- We are flexible with work hours. Some days we work all day in the vineyard/vegie garden, some days we just clean the house, cook/bake or do something in the cellar, serve customers or visit friends, sit and talk, read a book or go for a walk etc. You will be treated as PART OF THE FAMILY, so the help we require is not really like a "job". While with us, you will live the life of a country farmer. Your help enables me to go to work or sleep after a night shift :-) while you are taking care of business what I would normally do home... more inside

Helpers have seperate accomodation behind the main house with shared bathroom facilities.
Friday nights we make wood fired Pizza in our own cob oven and often have music nights.

Hello happy travellers,

We are a family of 4 (4 year old boy, 9 year old girl) living 20 mins out of Hobart, in a suburban area on the edge of the bush, near a river and 5 mins from Kingston Beach. There is a major bus route nearby.

We live these principles:
Wellness: Raising healthy & well-balanced children, healthy home-cooked food, non-smoking
Sustainability: Learning to grow organic vegetables using permaculture principles, composting toilets, building with recycled materials, saving energy.
Happiness: Balancing hard work and enjoyment, community involvement, time in nature, living simply and comfortably.

Given that we are a very children-oriented family, you'll need some interest or experience in interacting with young children. My 4 year old will want to discuss dinosaurs with you, and my 9 year old will want to play the piano for you.

We would like your help with:
If you're an OUTDOOR person --
- Gardening (vegetable and ornamental)
- Fence repair
- Painti... more inside
