Hello,

Ever wanted to learn how to make sausages?

Experiences the buzz of preparing a burger at a food festival?

Travel around Tasmania selling produce farmers markets?

Hold a new born piglet.

We can also sign for second year visa.

We're after some helpers. We're landscaping our kitchen garden and carrying out some environmental projects on our farm.

A bit about us - we're a young team running a free range pig, sheep and cattle farm in a really beautiful part of Tasmania. We work hard and play hard! Eating good food is a big part of what we do!

The farm is 9km from the cute seaside village of Penguin in Tassie's north-west, and it's right next to a mountain range that's great for bushwalking and mountain biking. We're just over 1.5 hours away from Cradle Mountain. Technically, if our pigs escaped they could walk all the way to Cradle and only have to cross one road!

We're doing things a bit different to conventional farmers: we keep old-fashioned breeds ... more inside

heyhoo happy helpers,
we have a nice but very wild property on the hill right behind the sanddunes of roaring beach. right now there's not much up here yet, little shed, container, longdrop, firebath.. so we can only offer basic accomodation in tents, a old car converted into a tiny bedroom, caves with matresses if you have a warm sleepingbag, good food, and the beautiful view of the beach, surf, wedge island.. work would be helping us fencing, in the garden, build a pizzaoven and shelter for it, help building a outside bathroom and sauna where i wouldn't mind some hands praktikal hands, best with some building experience too..?? then i just started to do up a sailing yacht,- want to put it in the water in summer, but still heaps of cleaning up & fixing on that too..?? some wippersnippering, firewood, housekeeping.. (let me know any handy skills/experiences..) depending on the surf/weather we'd like you to help us roughly 6h a day- but very flexible with the times.. we ourselves c... more inside

Hi! Come visit my lovely, peaceful 2 hectare property where Eastern barred bandicoots and other adorable wildlife roam at dusk and dawn. It's only about 8 minutes drive from New Norfolk and about 45 minutes from Hobart.
I've owned my (previously neglected) property for about 2 years and am gradually rehabilitating it (both the house and grounds). Tasks include yard-work (e.g. raking leaves, collecting kindling & firewood) and indoor cleaning. Specialized skills like tiling, plastering, building, plumbing and carpentry would be very much welcomed. (Please only apply if you are happy to work on your own at least some of the time.)
I offer space for up to two people with a campervan or tent (which can be pitched inside a shed for extra shelter) or one person in the house. (One of your tasks could be helping to set up one of the sheds as a HelpXer sleep-out.)
There is a bicycle you can borrow, and wi-fi is available. Mobile phone reception is pretty good if your provider uses the ... more inside
