We, Ann and Bill, are going to Vietnam so we need house sitters and caring companions for Bonny

Our property is situated at Woodbridge, a village 35k south of Hobart on the D’Entrecasteau Channel.

Some ingredients e.g. rhubarb, horseradish, are grown on the property, other wise sourced from local orchards, private gardens etc.

There is a vegetable garden in which I practice, as much as is feasible, a no dig garden, trusting mulch to inhibit the weeds, so garden maintenance is minimal.

We have a vacancy now for one or two people.

It would be nice to have someone who can teach us a bit of Spanish as we plan to go on holidays to South America.

We live in a pretty part of Tasmania where we commercially farm flowers, poppies and other crops.
We welcome people with a 'hands-on' mentality. If you like new experiences and don't mind getting your hands dirty you are very welcome. We are in the proces of renovating our house, (near the end))
If you can help with jobs in and around the house and on the farm and garden you are welcome. We are now harvesting and processing flower bulbs.

Also people more interested in domestic duties such as cooking cleaning and keep an eye on our son (Alex is 9 years old) are welcome.

We can sign your 2nd year visa application.

We appreciate your help. We like to give back in experience and showing you nice parts of Tasmania and other ways we can think of. We have a big organic vegetable garden and many fruit trees. W... more inside

hi there!!!
my name is sabine and i am from austria,i live here since 11 years and am horsetrainer and instructor. my husband philip and i are bible believing christians. we have given a home to numerous animals that have been previously abandoned. we d love to have people help with feeding, farmwork, housework and cooking.
our place is situated in the real bush and everything that comes with it, as there is spiders, snakes, mice and rats.....but also lots of wildlife to watch in a natural environment! it is also very isolated from civilization and there s no shop or cinema around the corner to walk to. anyone interested would have to be an animal-and horse-crazy-person and well experienced with the kind of work that goes along with looking after horses and other pets!
at the moment we are looking for someone with advanced horse-riding skills, who is not shy of work and does not suffer from hayfever neither!
one important thing to mention is ,that we do not have wifi or mobile... more inside

NON SMOKERS ONLY! I (Yvonne) live in Launceston, Tasmania. I will have a vacancy for about a week or so from Thursday 4th June, which will involve food preparation work on some days. Otherwise, helpers usually assist me with gardening, weeding, feeding the chooks, food preparation, cooking, cleaning, tidying and housework. Work hours depend on what I need you to do, so you must be flexible, but you will work an average of five hours a day. I can collect/deliver you to/from anywhere in Launceston, the local bus depot or Launceston airport. You will be rewarded with good food, a comfy bed and a friendly household. One household member can speak Mandarin Chinese. Helpers MUST be NON SMOKERS. Due to allergies and my work with food I WON'T accept any helpers who smoke! We operate a commercial cut-flower farm in Gardners Bay, 6km south of the Cygnet township. We are able to offer a recently renovated, self-contained cabin (separate from the main house)for your accommodation in return for two hours work per person per day. The catch is that we would require you to do your own cooking.

Tasks around the farm include weeding, pruning, flower picking, mowing, whipper-snippering, painting, other maintenance, etc., etc..Having your own transport would be advantageous, however, we do travel to Hobart every day, where we have a florist shop, and there are twice-daily buses to and from Cygnet to Hobart.

Our preference would be for non-smokers and people who will stay longer than a month.
We have a vacancy from 8th June 2015.
