*Sorry, we can't sign for 2nd year work visas*

*SPRING is almost here, so we are currently looking for a HelpXer or a couple to help with getting ready for the growing season. Lots of outdoor garden and work in fields*

Relatively new to Tasmania and the beautiful Huon Valley, we have recently moved into our lovely cottage house on 4 acres. Our household currently consists of 3 sheep, 2 lambs, 1 goat, 7 chickens, 4 ducks and our super cute cats Pinot and Hops.

We're attempting to learn and discover the wonders of a small farm, whilst at the same time studying and working. Stuart is a student nurse and Likira works at MONA. We are enjoying our organic vegetable garden, fruit orchard and learning to keep happy and healthy animals.

We are both really happy and laid back people, love the company of good friends, interesting people and challenging conversations. The Huon Valley inspires us with the amazing environment, spectacular scenery, delicious produce and great sense of... more inside

Hello,

Ever wanted to learn how to make sausages?

Experiences the buzz of preparing a burger at a food festival?

Travel around Tasmania selling produce farmers markets?

Hold a new born piglet.

We're after some helpers. We're landscaping our kitchen garden and carrying out some environmental projects on our farm.

A bit about us - we're a young team running a free range pig, sheep and cattle farm in a really beautiful part of Tasmania. We work hard and play hard! Eating good food is a big part of what we do!

The farm is 9km from the cute seaside village of Penguin in Tassie's north-west, and it's right next to a mountain range that's great for bushwalking and mountain biking. We're just over 1.5 hours away from Cradle Mountain. Technically, if our pigs escaped they could walk all the way to Cradle and only have to cross one road!

We're doing things a bit different to conventional farmers: we keep old-fashioned breeds that are at risk of extinction and we look... more inside

We are a grass Fed beef breeding farm, running black Angus, with calves, over three properties. It is a family business with 3 generations all pitching in. We need a help with kids cattle, chooks, dogs, and horses. We also have a huge variety of activities that we get involved in such as traditional carriage driving, low stress stock handling, and gardening, just to name a few. set In an idylic location just out of Burnie all three properties have views of the ocean, and from the main property you can cross the highway and you are there. We also have a swimming pool, although its a tad chilly in winter. You would stay in the family home, own bedroom and bathroom, meals provided and WiFi included, in exchange for a minimum 4hrs work 5-6 days a week. Negotiable, email to have a chat about what we can work out.

We live in the beautiful and historic town of Deloraine in a large 100 year old rustic house which we are in the process of renovating. There is an acre of field/garden which we are also converting to gardens and getting fences/sheds ready for chickens and sheep. We are a same-sex couple and have a delightful 8mth old baby boy (Bastian) who keeps us on our toes.

We would like to offer homestay with meals in exchange for some help either indoors/on the house renovations or outdoors (depending on weather) in the garden. We would also love to give Bastian exposure to other cultures/languages.

Length of stay can be discussed. Gay and lesbian friendly.

Hello

We are a family of four with two young children. We have a dog, fish, ducks, chickens, and a few tadpoles. We love to socialise, eat nice healthy food and enjoy the outdoors. Rob is a keen fisherman and we regularly go boating, fishing and surfing.

1) Landscaping around our natural filtration pool.

2) making hot composts and general garden duties

3) making curtains

We live in an outer rural suburb near Hobart's best surf beaches about 15-20 mins out of town. We have access to public transport with a bus stop the end of the street. You will have your own room and bathroom and bike to access the many trails and beaches.

If you'd like to help us with our various projects we'd love to hear from you.

* gay and lesbian guests are welcome
