Hi,

We are currently looking for helpers for late July, August, September 2017.

We live in a house in a suburban location near the centre of Hobart. We have a large vegetable garden (in the photo you can see it needs weeding!), berries and fruit trees, and 3 chooks. You can see more photos of the house on our airbnb listing via our website link above.

We have a studio out the back for guests, with shared bathroom inside the house. WIFI is available.

We have two sons in their teens (although one has recently moved to Melbourne soon for uni). We like being hosts so we can meet new people and introduce our sons to people from other cultures. We'd love to have people in our home who can share their stories (and cooking if they want!) and help out with the garden, odd jobs and a bit of housework.

We live near a cycleway and can usually lend helpers bikes to ride around Hobart. The MONA museum is an easy ride from our house along the cycleway.

We play music, go bushwa... more inside

A warm and friendly welcome awaits your arrival here on this wild and rugged west coast of Tasmania.
Hello. My name is Janelle. A 50 year single woman with a deep appreciation for life and people. I've lived here for 9 years, establishing a permaculture property on 1/2 acre. The front gate opens to the ocean, the back gate to the rain forest. It can get wickedly windy and wild as it's right in the path of the 'Roaring Forties'. Although it's a wet and windy time, winter is simply breathtaking with huge storm surges battering the coastline. You will feel its energy and power under your feet.
I've got a lot of little projects on the go and regular tasks that cater for a wide range of skilled or unskilled people. Some of the projects include: building and construction of raised wicker beds, shade house, chicken coop, paving, cob oven, fences, ponds and water features, outdoor kitchen, outdoor bath house, stone garden walls, paving, garden art, new berry beds, tiling, bathroom renova... more inside

NON SMOKERS ONLY! I (Yvonne) have a house in West Launceston, it is not a farm! Helpers assist me with gardening, weeding, feeding the chooks and cats, food preparation, cooking, cleaning, tidying & housework. I can collect/deliver you to/from anywhere in Launceston, the local bus depot or Launceston airport. You will be rewarded with good food, a comfy bed and a friendly household. My homestay uni students can also speak Mandarin Chinese.
