Hello from Dave and Jan!
DO YOU REALLY LOVE DOGS? WOULD YOU LIKE TO LIVE WITH US AS PART OF OUR FAMILY?
We are now looking for helpers from April onwards.
We have 3 lovely dogs, a cat, chickens , ducks and sheep.
Our house is a dog hotel, with dogs staying with us for their holidays. The dogs are all in the house with us, so we prefer you to have some experience with dogs. You will have to walk them whatever the weather, feed them and clean up after them. We also have a cattery where cats stay for their holidays.
You will be working with the animals, gardening, painting, cleaning the house, chopping wood etc. There is always plenty to do so we guarantee that you will not be bored! There is a chance to learn about training dogs in various activities.
You will be well fed with meat and vegetables from our garden where possible. We enjoy good food and conversation around the table, and hope you have a good sense of humour!! We also like to try food cooked by our helpers.
We ... more inside

Hi, we are Jane and Dave. We live in a small village in rural Lincolnshire in the East of England where we keep bees, chickens and pigs (pigs only during May-November) and grow fruit and vegetables in our large garden.

Please do read our profile fully before you apply, as it helps us to decide between the many applications we get.

Weve travelled a lot ourselves, so its great to welcome people from around the world into our own home. We get the benefit of all the help with the animals, the garden and our various projects and enjoy the company of so many interesting people. Our volunteers seem to be happy too, have a look at our reviews to see if this is a home-stay you would enjoy.

Weve been hosting HelpXrs for several years, as well as volunteers from other similar sites. For 2018 we'd like to welcome couples, families or single people who really aspire to our values and life style and who would like to join us in improving our garden for the future. We need practi... more inside

Hello dog lovers.

We can take people in March, April or May at the moment.

We would love to welcome you to our home in the small but busy market town of Frome in Somerset (has won awards as the best small town in the UK). http://www.discoverfrome.co.uk/frome/
We have been hosting for over two years and have enjoyed meeting new friends from all over the world.

The most important thing is that you need to be happy with dogs and taking them out for walks while we are at work. It is a great way to explore the town and surrounding countryside. Our 2 dogs love long walks and we are happy if they are happy!

Apart from dogwalking, we are happy for people to help us in the house or our garden or both (cleaning, cooking, gardening or decorating). If you have other specialist skills like carpentry, do let us know.

Our house in Frome is about 10 minutes from the centre and within walking distance of the cinema, the railway station, the leisure centre, the theatres and the co... more inside

Volunteering in a seaside hotel.

Please note: following the internal rules, including those of mutual respect and consideration for all, are a real "must". To avoid disappointment, please do not apply if you can not follow them.

DO apply if you are enthusiastic, motivated and trustworthy, and love to overcome a challenge - you have an opportunity to grow and gain new skills (see multiple reviews below :)
Do NOT apply: if you are lazy, irresponsible, dishonest, do not keep your own word and are likely to put your work on someone else. You will not succeed - and you are likely to lose your place (see certain reviews below)

Would you like to join us in a friendly seaside hotel on the Promenade in Blackpool?
This is the place where the charm of the Victorian hotel meets the enthusiasm and the young spirit of an international traveller, where one can start a career as a general assistant manager, a chef, a designer, a builder, a barmaid/barman, etc. - and participate in reno... more inside

Hi,We are now looking to host from mid March - mid April 2018. Our home is an old farmhouse, we have no animals but plenty of garden to look after, yurt and roundhouse maintenance needed. Cooking skills making the occasional meal would be great. Our village is rural and is approx. 2 miles from the coast. Our website and helpers reviews will give you some idea about us. We are experienced hosts, long time 'greens' and in exchange for your help we hopefully offer you a happy, comfortable stay.

A very large rambling house, 100 years old. Large 3 acre garden set on hillside with views to mountains of North Pennines and Lake District. Great area for outdoor tourism with Hadrian's Wall and lakes nearby. Have wetsuits to lend you! Exceptional mountain biking.

Fruit bushes, orchard, and other fine plants and trees. All in need of care and preparation for spring.

Thanks to previous volunteers the house is now running successfully as a bed and breakfast and a weekend holiday let.

1 mile to a bus stop, 15 minutes drive to Carlisle train station. Quite isolated if you don't have your own transport. Bikes available.

I need help to paint exterior and prepare gardens. It rains here so you have to be tolerant and prepared to dress for the weather as there are few indoor jobs to do.

The hours would be spent out in the garden turning over beds and cutting back brambles, lawnmowing, path clearance, lighting fires, collecting wood and generally making property work and ... more inside

Looking for someone to start as soon as possible for 1-2 weeks (maybe longer)

My 2 children (age 16 & 17), 9 hens & I live in a 5 bedroom house (building site) with a large garden & lovely views. We need someone to help with the weeding and other gardening when the weather is fine & do some housework and DIY when it's not. If you have any skills in painting & decorating, we could really use them right now. In return you'll be well fed as we love cooking and baking!

You will need to be fit & strong, like hard work & preferably know the difference between a weed & a (wanted) plant. A good dash of common sense will also go a long way. Must be a non smoker & I am afraid that I cannot host vegans. Either a single person or a couple is welcome.

We particularly love Kiwis, Australians & French speakers but if you're neither, you're still very welcome!

We live 10 minutes walk away from the local railway station which can take you to the bigger cities such as Leeds and Manche... more inside

Hi, my name is Andy. I have been doing this for a long time now and I have also hosted people via similar organisations. I have made some great friends and have gained some great memories. I continue to welcome people here from various backgrounds and places. If you are looking for something different then please continue reading :-)

I live here with my partner Joe. I enjoy helping people who are visiting or planning to visit these British islands we occupy.
I am a liberal person who appreciates people of a similar nature, people who want to learn more about this strange and wonderful planet we all occupy. I like people who care about others and want to learn more about themselves.

I am a well-educated person. I try to enjoy life the best way I can, I like music of most genres, a good film, writing, watching documentaries, current affairs, psychology, history, politics, philosophy, reading and anything technical.
