We are a couple who would like help with our two very small businesses. One is a small guest house and the other a small shop. We are also CELTA qualified English language teachers. We are both professionals with higher education degrees. We are friendly and helpful, and would want to make sure our helpxers are happy and comfortable with us.
We live in central Bath, World Heritage Site, with the famous Roman Baths and Thermae Spa. Bath is also a city of festivals, too numerous to mention, theatres and cinemas, and the elegant Georgian architecture. Within walking distance to the city centre, train and bus stations. We are located in the South West of England with London only 1.5 hrs on the train. Stonehenge and the Cotswolds 50 mins by car.
We are looking for single people, strictly non smokers (I am asthmatic and do not cope well with strong smells, so if you are a smoker please do not bother applying), who are presentable, punctual, responsible, fit and energetic, willing, w...

The Old Hall was originally built in about 1650 and a third storey added in about 1800. The house has some beautiful features but needs much tender loving restoration to bring it back to its former beauty.
There are stables (used for storage and one is a gym) and a large garden, paddock, a range of outbuildings, pig pen and an orchard & pond area.
Bedrooms have king size, double or single beds. Baths and showers. Kitchen. Dining Hall. Lounges.
We would especially like to host fabulous joiners, roofers, plasterers, plumbers, electricians, bricklayers, stonemasons, architects, structural engineers (or helpers with any experience of these).
Also at the moment, we would invite people with house keeping, vegetable gardening or landscaping experience and general grafters who have some experience of DIY. We are currently looking to host June 4th onwards.

This is a lovely old fashioned farm set in the very heart of the beautiful Devon countryside. The location and landscape is unspoilt and offers easy access to the wilds of Dartmoor.
Ben and his partner Lorraine (Larry), and Ben’s Mother Tessa along with our volunteers and students work together to maintain and develop the land, livestock and a sustainable way of life.
We enjoy life on our 400 year old traditional Devon Farm and manage over 100 acres consisting of culm grassland, hay meadow, ponds and woodlands (43 acres), all worked by our shire horses. Our Woodlands provide a wonderful opportunity for preserving the time-honoured skills associated with traditional woodland management such as coppicing, charcoal burning and horse logging.
Modern techniques and home comforts are embraced but where possible the farm is run pretty much on a 1940s basis. We love eating our own food and our aim is to produce all our own meat and vegetables on the farm. The fields are worked wit...

Here at Brickworth Farmhouse we are working towards creating a health and wellbeing retreat, where people can come to rest, relax, and reconnect with their source.
The 325 year old farmhouse is equipped with a walled garden, an orchard, a paddock and polytunnels and is situated in the heart of the Wiltshire countryside, nestled between the historic city of Salisbury and the New Forest, one of Englands most treasured forest and heaths. With beautiful views great walks and an abundance of wildlife.
We are preferably looking for a couple or two friends with experience in outdoor work to help us transform the 5 acre piece of greenery into a multifaceted living organism. The work will involve working alongside Josh in the walled garden/kitchen garden and developing the allotment area (this could be weeding, planting, pruning, sowing, watering and tending to the vegetables of the time, as well potentially being involved in some our larger projects which will develop over the th...

One helper needed to clear a garden and overgrown vegetable patch (next door to a working dairy farm). At the moment mostly digging, trimming back bushes/hedges and clearing some overgrown areas.
Would ideally like a Vegetarian or Vegan helper, but not essential as long as helper is happy to be veggie during the stay here.
Located in south Cumbria on a hillside a few miles from the Lake District national park, with stunning views over Morecambe Bay. Further up the hill you have views of loads of mountains of the Lake District, and you can also see Coniston water.
As well as the Lake District there is also a large Buddhist monastery a couple of miles away which sometimes runs courses and has a little cafe selling drinks and cakes.
The accomodation is a small room with a single bed.
Ideal for a short term helper for 3 to 7 days, so if you're looking to visit the Lake District this could be for you.
IN SUMMARY:- ------------
This is for just ONE helper, for 3 ...

FOR JUNE. Experienced and gentle person to help with starting our young horse, to include riding for a quiet and experienced rider. Also to help with the garden - clearing and tidying (could be some quite heavy work), weeding, tending vegetables and plants. Other tasks will be some general maintenance and some light housework and possibly some painting and decorating, feeding, cleaning chickens and ducks and egg collecting!
We are musicians (traditional/folk) living in the South Hams of Devon - an area of outstanding natural beauty. We are self employed in musical instrument repairs / jewellery making / painting and always in need of more time for our business - the reason we need some help. We are looking for someone to help who is strong and able and thoroughly practical. Jobs include lots of garden maintenance and landscaping, perhaps (if able) to help with building a website, painting and decorating ( during the winter). A little help may be required with the horses s...
