This is what we are about in a nutshell:
Our lodge is a secluded, easily accessible guest house and retreat space offering bed and breakfast with stunning views of the Scottish countryside in the Kingdom of Fife. We offer a tranquil, relaxing space for those exploring the area, business people who want a more personal experience than a hotel or those just wanting to stay and be nourished in mind, body and soul" - Its a place where you can just "Be".

We are looking for a couple to come and help us. Ideally we would like people with experience of gardening and who are enthusiastic about learning new things. The sooner you could come, the better!! Spring is much later this year and only now are things beginning to grow. There is a lot to do around the place, we would prefer a couple, we are very flexible about the work. It would be 4 hours per day 5 days a week, so if people wanted to do part time work elsewhere we have no problem with this.
We are restoring an 18th century farmstead on a hillside in Fife with views across the Forth to Edinburgh, the Pentland Hills and West Lothian. Our nearest neighbours are half a mile away. We are creating a variety of external spaces from small, secluded patios and terraces through to areas of lawn with herbaceous borders. There is a large kitchen garden where we are endeavouring to grow the food we eat. It is rather exposed so growing is a challenge! The remainder of our 30 acres is used...

Small friendly organic market garden in west of Scotland with herd of milking goats, about ten miles from Glasgow city centre. We set up the farm 25 years ago to provide young people with training in natural goat-keeping and all aspects of organic growing, such as permaculture. biodynamic methods and other innovative and time-saving methods. We are looking for volunteers to join us for long or short stays (minimum three weeks) who want to know more about goats, growing food and survival methods such as saving seed. In return for about six hours work a day you will enjoy healthy organic food and stay in a heated caravan.
The work can sometimes be hard but we have a lot of fun!

We have an organic brewery started in 1998 and in 2007 bought forty hectares. We grow barley for the brewery, have 150 Hebridean sheep, a milking cow, hens and horses, a vegetable garden and ornamental garden. Volunteers work on the farm, in the shop and in the garden. We also do occasional events and Jocktoberfest in September. We have had wwoofers for 10 years and over 450 people have volunteered, but we have been reccommended helpex. We have a self catering bothy for people to live in. There is always a lot going on and our volunteers help out for a full eight hours each day. It works really well if people want to throw themselves into things and be a part of what is going on, but not for those who want a couple of hours work and then to sit dreamily in their garret writing! Although there is a lot going on socially we find that teenagers like a bit more spice, and those in their early twenties and older seem to love it most. We have Inverness six miles away, and lots ...

Sorry, we don't have any spaces now until September. We have 26 acres of rolling grassland in the Clyde Valley. We are 4km from the nearest small town (Biggar). The farm has a small flock of Hebridean Sheep, some alpaca , ponies and a thoroughbred horse, as well as chickens, geese and quail. We grow vegetables and fruit in a walled garden and there is a small orchard. Work includes animal husbandry, mucking out, weeding, planting of trees and vegetables, pruning, hedging etc. Currently we are concentrating on the restoration of our farm buildings (built in the 1790's). The buildings, listed and protected by Historic Scotland, are being restored using traditional materials (lime mortar, stone work, slates and cast iron). There is some gardening, landscaping and groundwork in progress. We are creating a series of ponds at the back of the farm for water storage, and a small wildlife pond. The Georgian farmhouse also serves as a 4 Star Bed and Breakfast, and the farm, barns and grou...

We are a family run organic fruit and veg smallholding which is based in the Midlothians of Scotland just on the outskirts of edinburgh. We grow organic veg for our box delivery scheme and flowers which we sell at the weekly farmers market in Edinburgh. Help required would include weeding, quite a lot of that!, helping with the flowers, picking and possibly selling at the market, maybe some general maintenance.
This is a 5 acre walled garden. We have hens and goats and a ball crazy collie who loves to play.
We are looking for two people to help us, working around 5 hours a day. Accommodation would be a caravan on our grounds, with self catering facilities. Food will be provided. There are regular buses from Dalkeith and Pathhead into Edinburgh. Please contact us if this sounds of interest to you.
Please note, due to cancellation we now have a vacancy for 1 or 2 people from May 20th. Please contact us asap if you are interested.

** WE ARE IN NEED OF HELPERS FROM NOW INTO JUNE - CAN YOU HELP?? :-) **
We are a fun, friendly hostel in Kyleakin at the base of the Isle of Skye. The hostel is open all year round and we are always in need of helping hands to keep the place clean, tidy and welcoming for our guests. Skye entices many different travellers and we have the opportunity to enjoy their company and make their accommodation a great part of their adventure.
The Isle of Skye offers hill walking, sight seeing, outdoor adventures and mystic tales to everyone who visits.
