This mixed hill farm is home to 16 cows, a bull, two goats, a large flock of sheep ,bees, poultry, ducks, five cats and two dogs with their two owners and quite a lot of wildlife. The farm is certified organic/biodynamic. We use Biodynamic methods, have no machinery and work hard to try to grow vegetables, shiitake and fruit at 650' on a south facing hill in a glorious area of South West Scotland. We welcome non-smoking meat eating or vegetarian help. We are far from shops and transport, quiet - a great place to watch the stars!

There is always a lot to do and we need help now! We hope to plant some more fruit trees and generally tidy up after a very wet winter and not much better spring and 'summer'. We welcome people who like to get 'stuck in' as there are some heavy duty jobs, eg shifting old haylage, In return for hard graft we offer good food and a beautiful location with nature and history on the doorstep! We also welcome people who are interested in learning how we... more inside
