Aberfeldy is a small and interesting artisan town set in the most stunning valley which is described as being 'a fit vestibule for heaven'. It is known for its beauty, water sports, lochs and mountains. Aberfeldy is 7 miles from the stunning and tranquil loch Tay. Ben Lawers mountain range and the mystical Schiehallion mountain are amongst many Monroes nearby. The town hosts its own sell out festival in early November, birthed and directed by my husband Ryan. Many come from all over for the music, poetry, and literature. ******* Help needed now! The barn frame is up but turf roof and walls will be going on soon!

We are starting a new family business. We recently purchased some farm land on the Black Isle and hope to set up a yurt camp site. We are looking for volunteers to help with all aspects of this.

The farm is in a stunning location overlooking the moray firth on the peninsular called the Black Isle. The farm is 150 acres of rough grazing, native woodland cliffs and shore line as well as a couple of more productive field that we hope to use for hay and possibly crops in the future. We have a small flock of Hebridean sheep, 11 ewes plus their lambs. We are new to farming so are starting small and hope to increase our flock as well as get other animals in the future such as pigs and cattle. We also have 3 horses that are used for riding but may also be used a bit on the farm for jobs such as timber extraction.

We plan to be renting out yurts by next summer (2015) so there is a lot ... more inside
