Hello :)
we can offer space/food for one or two help exchangers at the moment, now the weather has warmed up.
We are a Mick and Lisa, a builder and a graphic designer and we are renovating our barn in an environmentally friendly way, Mick has been doing all the work himself but now we have managed to move into one section of it we have space in the caravan/wood cabin for helper/s to stay.

Mick needs HELP WITH HEMP AND LIME plastering on the walls. It's a bit like porridge, has a lovely breathable natural finish. Mick will show you how to do it. There is also lots of lime pointing to do, and general gardening help would be useful, planting strimming and managing the vegetables and general tidying.

Our Barn is set in 3 acres with woods and stream..not far from the sea..in Wild West Wales. We are also landscaping the land creating different garden areas coppice wood and a forest garden.

The caravan is VERY BASIC !!! it will be your accommodation: bedroom with primi... more inside

We will be looking for more help in the garden late summer, but NOT June or July! We need help with weeding, also landscaping & a handy person to help us repair an outbuilding! We have a detached house with a large, rather overgrown, steep garden, bordered by a stream & woodland. We are retired and need some help with the more physical work. We have horticulture qualifications and would like to share our skills. Rural situation but within walking distance of University, Arts Centre & town of Aberystwyth on West Coast of Wales. Bus & rail links to other areas of outstanding natural beauty in Wales. We offer a comfortable, double bedroom with ensuite WC and use of a sitting room & WiFi, plus tasty vegetarian/vegan meals in return for average of 4 hours work a day. Stays between 5-10 days in first instance. Non smokers. We are friendly and welcoming but also need some 'off duty' space, so guests must be willing to spend time doing their 'own thing' too! We also share our home with 1 ve... more inside

WE CURRENTLY HAVE SPACE FROM 15TH JUNE UNTIL 15TH JULY AND FROM THE BEGINING OF SEPTEMBER ONWARDS.
We run a small restaurant in our beautiful village home, and need some help in the garden and with the chickens as we grow much of the food we serve. We also need some help with housework (especially on rainy days!) and in the evenings, clearing and washing up.
The work outdoors will be varied in the garden and vegetable garden. It will include feeding and cleaning our chickens; mowing the paddocks and general hedge/fence maintenance; weeding, digging, perhaps planting etc in the new poly-tunnel and outdoors with our veggies and herbs; and minor building projects such as constructing raised beds from the hundreds of bricks we have inherited!
We expect at least 28 hours a week, usually 4 hours a day but we can be flexible on the days that the restaurant is closed if you want some time off for touring. In return we can offer you delicious meals and accommodation in a double ensuit... more inside

We need helpers from 26th May until end of June then are booked until September!!
Would love to hear from you if you can join us!!

This is a quirky B&B set within a 19th century church in the mountain village of Capel Curig in Snowdonia National Park.

Travellers can enjoy fantastic hiking, climbing, mountain biking and kayaking in the surrounding countryside and when at home they can chill in a hot tub under the stars or play table tennis beneath a fabulous 19th century mosaic ceiling? And all with lovely views of Snowdonia's mountains from every window in exchange for help!

I am looking for someone to help out approx 25 hours per week; the main jobs will be in the B&B cooking breakfast and doing rooms, ironing, etc.. but I am also a journalist and my partner is a photographer and occasionally we need an assistant on a job. We are also about to do an online campaign and so if that's your thing you could help on that!

On a typical weekend in the church its full of walke... more inside

We are a Yoga Ashram and have several projects going on here with improvements to the property and helping out with running a busy house. Work could include maintaining property, building improvements, gardening, cooking, housework. Ideally a couple would work well here.

As we are a yoga ashram you will also have the opportunity to join in some of the classes - learn and study yoga and we would prefer it if you have this interest. We are a registered Yoga School and run teacher training courses. You would be able to join in the regular classes and retreat days.

Working hours may be flexible, depending on whats going on, but would work out around 5 hours per day.

All meals will be included, we are vegetarian only. No pets are allowed here sorry. Your accommodation will be in a touring caravan with a double bed space (therefore either a couple or a single person can stay). We would allow you to stay for a maximum of 2 weeks at a time.

We have a lovely small holding which is half broadleaved woodland, half pasture, with a stream running right by the house, 2 ponds, large veggie garden, orchard, greenhouse, small herd of rare breed cattle, sheep, dogs and bees! (See photo below of a 2011 help-xer with one of our lambs!)

We would like help with looking after the animals including our active dogs, woodland management, gardening, preparation and maintenance of grazing land, weeding, planting, harvesting, general maintenance, perhaps light decorating, ironing when it's raining....and whatever crops up! We expect some help around the house such as washing up after dinner and perhaps cooking the occasional meal.

We offer accommodation in a refurbished 16th century cottage which is connected to the main house (see photo of room below). This will mean help-xers have their own sleeping & bathroom area tho' occasionally we may have other guests staying. You will see from the photo below that it is a twin roo... more inside
