Hi I am Rosie I run a holiday accommodation business in a stunningly beautiful part of Pembrokeshire overlooking the sea, between Solva and St. Davids at Nine Wells (on bus and cycle routes.)The area apart from being stunningly beautiful is ideal for walking, cycling, surfing, sailing, canoeing, birds & wildlife it has a host of galleries and the history of the area is interesting.
I am looking for help with both big and small jobs of a practical nature to get several projects going, the garden walls need renovating, there is concrete to knock down, a vegetable patch to start and other landscaping. Another project is to transform my garage space into a workshop so that I can offer residential & non residential jewellery, pottery and other craft courses together with a pop up gallery and venue for musical events and help to get these going.
I am therefore looking for practical hands on skills to assist me in achieving this whilst also running my accommodation business. Tasks might... more inside

We have a lovely small holding which is half broadleaved woodland, half pasture, with a stream running right by the house, 2 ponds, large veggie garden, orchard, greenhouse, small herd of rare breed cattle, sheep, dogs and bees! (See photos below of a 2011 help-xer with one of our lambs and 2013 help-xers cleaning out the pond!)

We would like help with looking after the animals including our active dogs, woodland management, gardening, preparation and maintenance of grazing land, weeding, planting, harvesting, general maintenance, perhaps light decorating, ironing when it's raining....and whatever crops up! We expect some help around the house such as washing up after dinner and perhaps cooking the occasional meal.

We offer accommodation in a refurbished 16th century cottage which is connected to the main house (see photo of room below). This will mean help-xers have their own sleeping & bathroom area tho' occasionally we may have other guests staying. You will see f... more inside

Situated close to Abergavenny in the Brecon Beacons National Park it is easy to get to from major cities by public transport. I can provide an opportunity for a foreign female (non smoker) to improve spoken English and see a great part of Wales.

My hosting is ideal for someone who is self motivated and is happy to be outside in the fresh air. Time can be spent walking my dog and grooming my 2 ponies. You can enjoy nature, I have many books to help identify the plants growing wild in the area.

Help with general housework and some painting & decorating would be appreciated. Someone who enjoys cooking would be ideal, I am happy to help in the kitchen. My favourite food is Chinese/Thai so a helper from Asia would be great!

I like helpers to stay for a minimum period of 14 days. The hours can be flexible and I can help arrange activities for your time off, I would be happy to take you aroun... more inside

*We are now looking for someone to live in with us and help over the winter months. Plenty of mucking out and riding young horses on offer.*

There is plenty of horse riding on offer but you must be under 14 stone, and a competent rider - our horses are not suitable for beginners or novices.

We always appreciate a helping hand in our small family-run horse riding holiday business, which we run from a traditional Welsh farm nestled in a secret valley in the beautiful Brecon Beacons. We have approximately 60 Welsh cobs, most of which are bred here on the farm, and we host guests here in our B&B, so there's plenty to keep us busy. We are looking for people to help with mostly outdoor tasks as well as looking after the horses of course - gardening, digging out new paths, fencing, filling in pot holes, painting fences etc - also some indoor work like painting walls if the weather is bad! Horse work includes mucking out, exercising horses, helping move them to winter homes. But we ... more inside
