Carraroe is a village in Irish-speaking Connemara, 25 miles west from Galway city. Frequent bus services connect Carraroe with the city, but I also travel to and from the city often.

Carraroe is surrounded by beaches and has a number of cafes and bars with live music. There is also a niteclub on the weekends.

You'd help us with general duties, cleaning and making beds. There will also be lots of time to hang out with the other helpers, meet the hostel guests and have a great time in Kilkenny.
We are also happy to chat about things you're good at too. So if you can take amazing photos that we can use on our website, or you're great at blogging, or want to organise social activities for our guests then tell us!! Let's chat about what you'd like to do and see if it would be good for us :-)

Things are busy now in Kilkenny...as well as our normal day to day activities we've been cleaning/fixing things to get the place looking great. We'd like you to help out 3-4 hours a day. Of course you'll also get weekly days off too!... more inside

This old estate is located on beautiful Valentia Island of the South West coast of Kerry. It was home to several generations of Knights of Kerry. Today there is a historic B&B in the old manor house, 4 self catering holiday homes, a mature sub tropical garden, heritage woodlands, a walled garden and a working farm, all for visitors to wander about. It's 10 minutes walk to the lighthouse, 3 minutes to the beach. There are ancient healing energy points on the grounds, dating back to druid times and many ancient sites nearby, like the UNESCO World Heritage site Skellig Rock. We - Jessica and Eoin and our 2 Kids (6 and 4 years old) have taken over from Jessica's mum. The whole estate is in need of a tidy-up and a face lift. It is a very exciting time and if you would like to be part of a team making Glanleam shine and glow again then we would love to have you with us. The list of work to be done is endless, there is work to be done in the garden and woodlands, clearing, maintenance, orga... more inside
