My husband and I live in the eastern part of Finland in a small village surrounded by forests in a big, wooden house. In the house we have a separately appartement: it considers one room and kitchen (together 40 square meters). The sauna is outside in the garden. The yard is 2 hectares.

We have animals: hens (20-30), three sheep, two horses from Iceland and Estonia(if you know to ride a horse it will be possible here together with me), a rescuedog and a cat and a vegetable garden. The nearest lake for swimming is 3 km away, You can pick berries in the forest and ride a bike. The next shop is 5 km away, the next town called Savitaipale is 18km away and to the nearest bigger city Lappeenranta is 50km.

We hope that You could help us with the garden and the animals. The work is not very hard and You will have much free time.
During the wintertime I prefer helpers they know to ride a horse and to look after them.. Later in the springtime we have more different works.

We are willing to offer job opportunities for volunteer helpers (1-2 persons, female) in our Holiday Center located in Lappland by amazingly beautiful Ivalo river (we are surrounded by it). Work will be daily cleaning the rooms at our terraced house and cabins, assistance help in our new restaurant (with dishes, serving the food etc). Welcome to help us build up our new intentional community! We are located in southern Finland in a "secret" valley between forest and a protected nature reserve with crystal clear lakes and exciting rocky high hills. 7 adults and 6 kids share the vision of "keeping the sacred in the centre" and the basic communication tool is the Circle. We are open minded people who love to experiment with natural building(1 professional natural builder), art(3 artists) and body therapies(5 professionals practising massage, tantra, dance, etc...)

Main activity right now is building up of our infrastructure. Throughout the summer there will be outside living in teepees and yurtas and day to day work with many natural building techniques. From time to time there will also be workshops held.

This summer we will continue work on the straw bale sauna and 3 smaller huts. Also repairs to the roof of the old house. We also plan on expanding the garden.

I live in a family commune house with a dog. Me and two other older women, we need help in the garden and sometimes in the kitchen. The house includes 5 apartments, sauna and garden. We run a husky farm and Lapland's Centre for Arctic and Polar exploration.

Our husky farm has over 100 dogs and we also take care of a second farm, c. 60km away, with a further 100+ dogs. Throughout the year there are standard tasks that volunteers can help with on the farm and then there are additional daily duties that change with the seasons from lead-dog / puppy training and construction / maintenance work in the Summer, to dog-conditioning and safari preparation work in the Autumn, and running safaris and entertaining guests in the Winter and Spring. People are also required to spend a little bit of time with our son Eliel, born in May 2010, so that everyone gets a chance to get on with their own tasks uninterrupted!

*** Due to a cancellation we are looking for helpers for the LAST WEEK OF MAY and FIRST TWO WEEKS OF JUNE! We are a family of four (mom, 38, translator, working at home; dad, 39, theatrical set designer; boy, 8; girl, 6) who live in a big old farmhouse that we are slowly renovating. We need extra pairs hands for all sorts of jobs around the house and garden: scraping, painting, cleaning, wall-papering, some carpentry, laying stone paths in the garden, gardening, basic forestry, chopping wood, cutting grass, picking berries, cherries & apples etc etc. We have a big garden and some forest as well.

Hello from ecovillage in south-west isles of Finland! 35 km from Turku city (where also ferries from Sweden come to). We are around 25 people, 10 kids from ages 0-9. At summertime we often have international volunteers coming again year after year.We grow vegetables and have some horses, sheep and chicken.

we live middle of fields in very old house. we have electricity but no running water...unless you want run from well ;D.so that means no shower! but we do have sauna where you can wash yourself after working.and you can always go swimming in lake nearby, we also have outdoor toilet so you need little camping spirit.
we offer you your own room, either in house or if you want sleep in summer room that will be ok to.and of course food included in the deal.. working hours will be like 5-6 h/day.we need help for cleaning our old animal shelter, rebuild our old sauna and making firewoods. we can pick you up from mikkeli, but if you have your own car that would be great because nearest village is about 8km away.

After the winter (2011-2012) doing helpx in France as a helper, I am back in Finland, and would like to have a helper for me. Only in the summer time and to summer cottage. Would like to have some help with garden, and with fire wood. So, I would like to invite a person who is capable to use chainsaw and an axe.
There is not a lot of work, so we could agree only 2 hours work for exchange of accomodation.
My cottage is very primitive, no running water, outside toilet, solar panels for electricity. I do have a sauna.
There is a small guest cottage where a helper would stay. It has a fire place for heating.

Siuntio village, very small with a shop, farmacy etc., is 4 km away, but close to my cottage there is a spa hotel with swimming pool.
Cottage is by the lake and I have a canoe and a bicycle. I dont have a proper beach but there is a possibility for swimming near by.
A train or a bus to Helsinki takes less than an hour, but they dont run very often. Railway station is 4 km fr... more inside
