We have now got as much help as we need 2013.

We are sheep farmers and got some horses. What we want help with is in May with the lambing season but in June-September is horseback riding and some other work at the farm. The helper have to have a good practice in horseback riding.
The helper have to talk English,Norwegian, Danish or Swedish.
The helper lives in our home. Works 4-5 hours Monday to Friday.
Stafn (the farm) is in the north east of Iceland,72 km from Akureyri. Popular places for tourist like the waterfall Goðafoss and lake Mývatn are aprox. 20 km away from Stafn.To Húsavík is 50 km and there you can go Whale whatcing.

We live in Budardalur which is aprox. 2 hours from Reykjavik, Iceland.
We need a good and honest female to stay with us over the summer 2013. We have 3 children; 3 years old (girl), 4 years old (boy) and 10 years old (boy). We need help babysitting them while the daycare is closed for 5 weeks this summer (from late June until the beginning of August). This person needs to help out with cleaning and babysitting. For 8 hours work a day (work days) we offer food and accomodation. Preferred spoken language is english.

Would be great to have a female helper or helpers from the beginning in May until in July or later. The work would be helping me with my 5 years old daughter, houswork or farmwork, depends on helpers skills.
The farm is a dairy farm but also we have sheeps horses and chickens.
Our place is surrounded with the most popular tourist spots in the north east of Iceland, like lake Myvatn, the waterfalls Godafoss and Dettifoss, the whale whatcing village Husavik and Asbyrgi.

Update: We have hired for the summer 2013. We really don't know what to do for winter 2013-2014... we might do Helpex, who knows.

I'm a single mother who work shifts which means my little son needs a looking after about 10 hours a week. Even though he is my son he is easy to handle. We don't have any pets... yet ;)

So your work would be to get my 4 year old son up in the morning and walk to school (8.45AM) two mornings a week. Then picking him up from school (4pm) two days a week and take care of him until I come home (1AM).

This might sound a lot of work, but it is so little that my helpers have usually found an extra job along with it, so I hope that you don't get bored.

You would live with us in our house and be a part of the family.

Seydifjordur is a beautiful township in east Iceland, "like a Scenario in a movie". The ferry to Europe arrives in Seydisfjordur once a week and there is only one road over 600m pass connecting Seydisfjordur to rest of the coun... more inside

Update: we are looking for someone from now(May 8) for 3 months) this is a wonderful spot on Earth, we have fantastic views & the chance to walk right along the fjord from the doorstep. we are a couple, having huskies & chickens, garden and are building up an agency for conscious holiday.
We are looking for someone who is positive and loves life and has interest in living consciously in harmony with nature. We have a very healthy life style (great kitchen with ayurvedic meals) and eat relatively little fish & lamb. But when we do ,we appreciate it.
we like the volunteer to be responsible and sensitive to other human beings (guests).

We are looking for someone who likes to have a varied life with varied task; helping in the household (cleaning,cooking, wahsing), with the dogs & chickens, clean and make ready the apartments, welcoming our guests at the apartments and at our workshops and (may be practice their language skills)

We are a family of 7 and run a dairy farm, with 60 milking cows. We also have an accommodation for tourist as well as a tourist farming facility, were tourist can come and get to know about the farmers live in Iceland. We also run a little cremery where we produce milk products, such as ice cream, cheese and skyr (the Icelandic tradional yoghurt)

We have a dairy farm with 35 milking cows. 15 sheep, few horses and hens, cat and a dog.

we are also trying to reconstruct our 60 year old house and some of the outhouses.

We are a young family of 5 in northern Iceland, but only 3 that live at home .
We have 1 dog ,3000 chickens (egg farming ) and about 60 horses. we need help with riding the horese and all so 2 hours per day in egg farm .

We enjoy our way of living in the quiet country side of Iceland, working with animals and going horse riding in the summer and we have a fishingboat of our own. Our farm is situated in the northwest of Iceland, between the villages Blönduós and Skagaströnd. The town Sauðárkrókur is about 30 km. car ride away. There is a lot to see in Skagafjörður and allso in the winter you can go skiing at Tindastóll,Skagafjörður great mountain about 20 km away. Please contact us for more details :)

The summers in this area of Iceland can be really nice and the winters are beautiful. There is a lot of snow during the winter and there's a ski area in Sauðarkrókur and Akureyri.

We only have free accommodations to offer ( room and food ).
