some spontaneous helpers for may?

i'm a singleparent living with my 4 year old daughter, 3 dogs (you have to love dogs), 2 cats and 2 rabbits on an old farm out in the nature. at the moment i'm in the middle of a social education training. so i really need some help at home- especially when i'm not at home, to take care of the animals and the house.

we live in a vegan household, so i would really appreciate it if you are vegetarian or able to live without eating meat in our house.

we have no TV, but watching selected DVDs some times, when its cold and nasty outside.
we do have internet.
we love it to play games,
have some instruments,
atelier to paint and tinker...

i can offer you a room, sharing our organic food, (people say i'm a great cook, btw ;) ) and having a great time in a wonderfull landscape, where u can go hiking, rafting, mountainbiking and so on.
we have space for arts, music and wellness.

At the Olympic area of Seefeld, about 300 meters away from the street from Leutasch to Telfs, my place is situated within meadows and woods. First the wonderful view will surprise you!

The name is originated from the woods of Ropfer, which are connected to the international renowned hotel "Interalpen". The extraordinary sight over the "Mieminger Plateau" and the upper Inn-Valley, as well as the situation in pure nature is a wonderful experience to all visitors.

If you want to join us you will expect your own room with a double Bed, your own bathroom and of course free wi-fi (please bring your own laptop, because we have no surfstation) and free cable TV. Our restaurant provides free food 2-3 Times a day.Mondays are allways closed...

Hi! We, two women, are running a cooking school in the south of Graz, Austria. Gleisdorf is a nice city in the so called "apple region" of Styria.
We are looking for a femail help who is interested in gardening and cooking and wants to support us during the courses (outdoor) with for example washing up or preparing tables, as well with the garden work. What is really important for us is, that you stay at least 3-4 weeks with us.

CURRENTLY we are full and do not have any free place for the summer, but if you are looking forward to be with us in autumn (earliest start 1st of October - "apple picking season" ;-)), feel free to write to us!

We offer: free accomodation and organic food for 4 hours work a day (3-4 weeks!) You will learn a lot about organic gardening, the sustainable way of life and of course: about cooking. Vegetarian and vegan are our special interest, but we also cook with meat.

My old little farmhouse is situated in Upper Austria, about 10km away from the next village, surrounded by nature and beside a small river. It's close to Nationalpark Kalkalpen/some mountains (up to 1960m) and about 40kms from the beautiful 1000-year-old town Steyr.
I will pick you up at Molln (there is no public transport from the village into the valley) and I go there by car 2-3 times a week, so if you don't prefer to go by bike (20 minutes) you can have a lift! There is no mobile connection in the valley but you will have (limited) internet access.

I have a small vegie garden, there is also some wood to chop, but what I really would need is somebody with practical skills - a handyman, carpenter (I would like to build a bank around a tree!) or a person who likes constructing small dry stone walls for planting-terraces in front of the old beehouse... A lot of different jobs available!

We, that is a couple of 26-30, started farming in February 2012. This means, there's a lot of stuff we don't know about, and we're trying to learn.

Our farm is located in south-east Styria, on a hill. We have Grasland for Hay for Sheep mostly, trying to develop a vegetable garden. All the while also trying to turn someone else's house into our own.

We speak English and German fluently, French more or less fluently, Spanish: She fluently, He a little bit.

Help would be appreciated as technical help (repairing and maintenance), helping with the harvesting (hay, apples, similar stuff), planting, but also in the household and everyday tasks.

(Animal list as of Spring 2013: Sheep (+lambs), Chickens (+Chicks), Cats (+little cats), a dog.

hello,

my name is tascha(27). I´m living with my 2 1/2 year old daugther, ilenja, in purbach at the neusiedlersee
(burgenland-the east part of austria, pretty near to the border to hungary and a 40 minutes car-ride to vienna)
there are also lola&frodo, my two big dogs, carlo, the cat and bruce&joker two guinnipigs living with us.

the house is an old one, with one already restored part and a few rooms still waiting for it, and with a small garden. there is lots of work to do around and in it, like putting in window sills, building walls, painting them, a little bit of sanding, putting in floors, lamps, making new doors for the shed, cleaning out the basement, but also simply things like mowing the lawn, putting things from a to b...

I would also need a little bit of help in the household, cleaning windows, hoovering, generell cleaning stuff...

and/or since I´ve started working as a dressmaker at home, it would sometimes be really nice to have somebody beside me, who lo... more inside

To be close to the land and live (partially) from it

We are Thomas&Judith, Kathi&Shahar and the children Mia (*2006), Romi (*2009)and David Laurin (*2012), two young, international families that work a farm for our own requirements. Kathi and Thomas grew up on the farm that is registered as an organic farm for 30 years now. We have got Krainer Stein sheep, chickens, cats and a dog that roam about 5 hectares of grassland and forest. We grow vegetables on raised beds, a field in mixed culture and we run many new permaculture projects. All year round we harvest fruits from the mixed orchards and berry gardens. In winter we fell trees to gain wood for heating. We prefer working by hand, but use our small old tractor if necessary. There are always new projects, like constructing fences, rain water systems, hill beds and so on. We already built a green house, a wooden stable for the sheep and a tipi. There is also a lot of renovation to be done.

We are a big family with 4 sons (18-31 years old). Two of them still live at our home. We have a Premium biological elder farm near Stainz (Styria), wich is 30km in the south - west of Graz.(busses and trains to Graz are available)

Our farm is in the middle of the western styrian vineregion (Schilcher) where you can go hiking, biking (2 bikes are at home for free use) and swimming in summer (lakes are not far away from our home).
In the winter you can go skiing and snowboarding (next ski-region about 35-45 minutes away). Skis, Snowboards or ice - skating shoes are available in diverse sizes!

You have to work about 4 hours a day respectively 20 hours a week (according to prior agreement) for accomodation and food :)
During your stay you have got your own double bedroom with a computer.

The predominant works are the care and harvest of the elder trees/ elder berries. (cut the trees in the winter - harvest the berries in the end of the summer).

Hey guys!!

Unfortunately we have descided that we can not host any more volunteers until SEP (we are full).
I hope you will find a great place to stay in the meantime.
If you are around in autumn, leave me a line around mid July and i will let you know if we have space then. We will especially need people knowing about gardening, perma-culture or people that love to cook and know how to do it :). We very much prefer when people stay long term.
