!!! ONLY BACKUP VACANCIES LEFT !!!

Hi!
We are a young family, with kids ages 1 and 4.
During summertime (April-September) we run our organic espresso bar at festivals and markets.
Sometimes we bring our kids, when we are sure it's a kids-friendly festival. And some of the times they will stay at home.

So, preferably :) , we are looking for 2 people who have experience as a barista (or at least hospitality work) AND want to work as an au pair/take care of our kids.

At the moment we are signing up for the festivals, some outside of Holland.
During the festival we provide the entrance fee (obviously), food and drinks, and we have a tent for you to sleep in.
Transport to the festival will most probably be in our truck, unless you can find your own way up there!?
Before and after the festival you can stay in our house, which isn't very big so you have to be okay with kids running around and really integrate in our family :)

We don't have set hours that we want you to w... more inside

We are ecologically renovating an old house with straw-bales and clay. We are looking for straw bale / clay building enthusiasts, who like to make their hands dirty.

Hosting gives us the possibility to travel while staying at home. We enjoy making vegetarian dishes, but occasionally we eat meat. Joris is a professional wood fired clay stove builder. An recently started as a full time ceramist, making hand crafted pottery.

As our straw bale building is getting more and more to a finish the type of help that we require gets more and more refined. We need helpers who are handy with woodwork. One of the next projects is making the wooden doors and a kitchen from scratch. A carpenter apprentice would be perfect!!;) But if you know that you are handy you are very welcome to come and learn.
You can find some pictures of the building site via our first website link above.
We live in another house (co-housing with my nice parents) where there are two extra rooms for our host.

Who are we?

I am Julie, a Waldorf high school teacher and a horse trainer and my husband is a contractor. We are both almost 30 years old. After many travels and different projects we are now settling down. We bought and old farmhouse and some land, both in very bad shape. We hope to renovate the house in a sustainable way and use the land to slowly become self-sufficient. This is a long term goal and it will take many years to achieve it.

We do everything ourselves.

So we need help.

We decided to look for someone (or 2) using Help x because we used the site ourselves to travel around and we really loved it.

Are you fond of working in the garden, working on the land, working with horses or building work, or a combination of all of them?

Are you a respectful honest and kind person?

Are you willing to work hard?

Contact us!

What can you expect?

We live in de the house and renovate it at the same time, so be prepared to live on a construction site. You wi... more inside

Hello Helpx visitor,

The Flemish Ardennes are, to our humble opinion, one of the most wonderful places in Belgium. We are located in the area of " de Kluisberg".

We live in a typical country house with rural aspects and a spectacular view on the hill.

Currently we are looking for some lovely people with following skills:

We are looking for people to help us finish the house. Next to the main house there’s the possibility to make a lovely place to stay in the former barn and workers house.

If you are an expert in gardening, agriculture, constructing, painting..., we will be happy to host you. We could do with some help there.

Other skills as Yoga, massage or other life exploring activities can be an asset.

If you have other skills that might interest us, tell us about it. You might just be the person we are looking for.

Besides working we like to celebrate free time and from time to time we will invite you for seeing special places around. We also like to ea... more inside

AT this moment we are mainly looking for helpers that know how to paint and do woodwork and can help us with other building jobs as we are in the middle of constructing the retreat center!

We moved to Zeeland in 2014, because we wanted a different lifestyle. We want to be as self sufficient as possible. We have just build an energy neutral wooden house and last two winters we planted over 2500 trees and bushes to create a windfree garden for the nuts and fruit trees and the vegetable garden. Also we created a vegetable circle with all kinds of vegetables, a passarella for edible climbing plants and we have a green house.
Most of the work will be in the garden, planting veggies, but also digging trenches, building mounds, trimming and so forth. We wish to dig a small water to welcome frogs and other animals that have snails for dinner :)
Also some help in the Household or painting the chicken shed that we build from leftover material, could be your job. Next projects are buildi... more inside

~ ABOUT BOSKANTER ~

We are an educational non-profit that wants to inspire people to become less dependent on fossil fuels by taking life into their own hands. We do this with a number of ecological projects and by creating a place where we can share knowledge through workshops and activities.

- We bake sourdough bread in a wood-fired masonry oven for local people.
- From time to time we organise workshops about baking bread, working with clay from your own soil, making and using natural paints, and building rocket stoves and mass heaters.
- And there are regular activities here, such as Repair Café at which people help each other with repairs, and the Pizzeria where locals meet, and enjoy delicious pizza.

People & animals you’ll find here: the owners, Ine & Dirk, and their two young daughters, Hazel & Sienna; a fluctuating number of volunteers; two dogs and two cats; a handful of chickens an sheep; and a somewhat fat horse. :D

You’re welcome to come volunteer here and... more inside

We are Petra, Robbert and Doris, believe in a giveconomy (geefeconomie), creating a lively community around giveconomy and permaculture.

The totally renovated farmhouse called The Stream (De Stroom) is is our living and working place. I has a big 1 hectae garden (that doesn't look like a garden yet).

This coming year we are working on making te garden a permaculture garden with lots of fruit trees, vegetables, eatable plants and flowers.

We live in a peaceful rural area near the river Maas. There are three guestrooms with own bathrooms, a relax area, a big kitchen and a big living room (with tabletennistable and fireplace).

We could use a hand (or two) helping in the garden so that we (and you) can enjoy our garden already this spring and summer.

Focus is gardening, but also cooking, playing with our daughter (2years) or other little tasks (that you like) are very helpful for us.

Alignment is very common for us, so that we can live and work in flow. If you are r... more inside
