The farm is located in Marche region in the center of Italy, very close to the city of Ancona on the Adriatic sea. This is a start-up for an organic farm based on the permacultre concepts. The progect is to renovate an old typical farm house to create a place that can host a various kind of activities such as accommodation, production of food, course giving in bioarchitecture...and more.
At the moment the living situation is very basic. there are nice nearby and from this place is very easy to reach the rest of the country.
I'm looking for people who wont to work with animals (horses, chickens, pigs and cats and dog) helping to feed and take care of them, there are some buildings to do and the synergic garden to let go on. if you like to share this kind of life contact me! i offer accommodation and the food that come from the farm. thanks

This is a beautiful place in a hilly landscape, set in 22 hectares of unspoilt countryside, 12 km from the Etruscan hill town Cortona. We are a German/English couple who have owned the house for the past 40 years and have a number of ongoing projects that are fun to do with other people: the vegetable garden, the olive grove, the orchard. Then there is the general maintenance of the grounds, the pool and the house that we rent out to holiday makers in the summer. We have no animals as we like to be independent and free to travel.
There are a lot of interesting things to do and people to meet in and around Cortona. Cortona is on the train line from Florence to Rome, one can easily visit all the major tuscan towns by train. We plan to work 4 - 5 hours a day for 5 days a week. You will have your own room in the house, good local food and free wifi.
We would love to have a couple of helpers with some experience and a bit of muscle for 2-3 weeks from NOV. 26 onwards till mid Dec. to... more inside

We need help all year round. Longer stays (3 weeks or more) are preferred. We are looking for a couple of strong arms to dig a few trenches for our irrigation implant.

Fall and winter here are the most prosperous seasons of the year. A great deal of fruits ripen, starting with olives in November followed by avocados, feijoas, annonas and then all the citruses (satsumas, clementines, madarins, chinottos, lemons, oranges, tangelos, citrons, pummelos, grapefruits) but also pomegranates, guavas, hovenias, medlars, etc., etc. Some of them need to be picked almost every day throughout the season. This is the time when most plants embark in their slumber and thus the best time to prune.

Hi, my name is Guido and with my parents, sister and grandma we live in a nice, chaotic country house in the middle of a 3 acre orchard in Giarre on Mount Etna’s east side - exactly in between the mountain and the sea.

My parents work for the Italian education department, my father (Tur... more inside

Olive Pickers Needed

We will be look for three hardworking people to start immediately for approximately up to 3 weeks to help pick our olives

You will need a great attitude, be ready to go out and pick come rain or shine. The work is hard and the day is full on as we have a limited time to get all the olives picked and to the local press.

We start at 8 in the morning and generally finish around 4, although we ask for people to be flexible depending on how we are getting on.

The work, although hard is extremely rewarding and you get to see fantastic views of the Tuscan hills and work in some beautiful olive groves.

Read our reviews to get a better understanding of what we want and what we offer.

We provide

Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. Both lunch and dinner are good home cooked meals and plenty of it.

A bed, bedding, a comfortable place to stay and heaps of local knowledge so that you can go and explore.

Please only apply if you are hardworking, willing,... more inside

Olive grove 4km from the Mediterranean in Liguria close to French border. The local beaches are excellent and we are an easy day trip from Menton and Monaco.

Helpers with gardening, dry stone walling and maintenance skills are especially welcome as are reliable short term house-sitters as we prefer the place to be occupied when we are not here. We almost always have a need for strong labourers!

We can offer the place on a house sitting basis over Xmas and New Year to experienced people. We are also looking for house sitters in January but need to be sure that you can cope with the winter demands of a rural property.

We get a lot of requests and always try to reply quickly. Please be specific about what skills you have and what dates you are available.

In return for up to 25 hours work each week we provide accommodation, food and will try to show you around the area. If house-sitting we can either provide food and money for food or you may choose to do less... more inside
